You have no idea how much your videos help someone who is moving there. I appreciate you.
You should think twice about moving to Alaska
@@johnnyskinner6321 5 years in Jacksonville, FL so nothing is more ghetto. 5 years in Northern, MT and typically colder there. 10 years in Utah and cheaper there than here. I can't find ANYTHING I wouldn't like about AK. City life isn't me. I'm originally from backwoods Kentucky and can't wait.
I agree! I am use to Chicago, and I was kind of nervous moving up there with my husband. If most people are as nice as our host, I am feeling much more comfortable already. ❤
@@bmk9844 I'm here in Anchorage now and Jamin is top notch to work with. The thing I tell everyone is you will be fine here as long as you don't bring the same politics that have ruined where you are coming from here. Alaska is great for a reason. You come here trying to change things can be a bad thing. hehe
It’s a great place, you’d love living there! The neighborhoods are nice in spring. Especially the more grassy ones! I’d recommend homestead as a good place to move to, it’s near eagle river and you’ll know the entrance when you see the ladybug rock.
I grew up in Eagle River in the 1950's and 1960's, I can't believe how much it's grown!!!
Did you happen to know a man named Glen Hodges?
Yeah it SUCKS! HOMELESS everywhere, crime out of control...
@@johnnyskinner6321 in eagle river now?
I can also remember when there was maybe two gas stations tips was there and one of the gas stations had a lion in a cage I was born in Anchorage in 73 and we had family up the from way back but Anchorage wasn't all that big either back then we also lived in soldotna before there was a road built out that way we used to take a plan back and forth
When I was growing up my mother worked for Alaska sales and service for years
I lived in Eagle River/Chugiak from 1969-1986. Kind of fun going through a ride along of the old stomping grounds. We actually lived on the north side of town on the other end of Lower Fire Lake up Fish Hatchery Road. Our old hangout used to be parking in front of the CARRS shopping center, now called the Eagle River Shopping Center. We used to all back our cars up there and just sit and party out with each other... it was a lot of fun back then. I worked at the Tesoro Station accross from Tip's Bar, in the vacant lot there, and have tons of stories of the shenanigans that went on. The Tesoro was owned by Earl Williams and I think every guy at some point in their life worked at that service station pumping gas. Earl's famous story of Paul Harvey mentioning the station on an early 70's broadcast said "there is a little service station in Eagle River, AK that has a sign on the door that reads, "This place is guarded 3 nights a week with a 12 gauge double barrel shotgun...you guess the nights", it never got old hearing it. And yes, there was such a firearm.
How cool. I lived in eagle river from 81-2006. In high school we always used to hang out at Carr’s as well. Used to have friends up fish hatchery. High school fights would be at beach lake sometimes mirror lake. Skyline was always a good place to party outside. Loved growing up there
This is so AWESOME. I live in Boise ID and I am taking my dad on a cruise to Alaska this year in July, I already told my dad that I would be moving 4 years as soon as my son graduates from high school, Eagle River seems like the nicest suburb outside of Anchorage. The 9pm though when it looks like 1pm where I live, that will be a haaaaard adjustment,
Was out there Eagle River Saturday.
Heritage estate community had a huge community garage sales.
Prolly good time to ride around then.
Beautiful home up there.
As a future cop you are going to keep me busy with all those blown stop signs 😂
Lol
and driving in the middle in the road lol, but he at least honks the horn. Haha :)
@@jenniferroath374 lol yeah!
I just drove from the East Coast with my Step Daughter who moved to Eagle River. It was pretty cool, being like hey there is a NAPA up the road with a MIDAS across the street. Felt like I had been here before. Thanks
Have lived in ER for 5 years! Fun fact. From Prov to ER on the day of the big earthquake in 2018, took me over 6 hours to get home.
Man I miss this place, grew up there in the Mid 2010s From 4 to 7 years old, currently 13
I lived in Anchorage/Ft. Richardson 32 years ago, and if we had stayed Eagle River was one of the places I had my eye on. I see plenty has changed if they now have an Old Glenn Hwy lol I loved the Log Cabin style homes in Eagle River on the mountainside which you could look down on Anchorage at night.
Nice area. The weather looks nice up there. We remember passing the exit sign on the way up to Palmer and Wasilla.
Nice area. Thanks for the information and video.
We lived on W Skyline Dr. in Eagle River. Big Tudor house on the right with a big red barn. I think it was the 3rd or 4th switchback. Miss AK so much!
I know exactly the house you’re talking about. My friend almost died at the switchback past that around 98-99, black single cab Chevy pickup. Skyline is such a beautiful area
Just relocated to Eagle River from Idaho, Thanks for the video.
WHAT ARE YOU RIDING?
I wonder if any of those people in the condos have a neighbor dropping deuces in the neighbors parking spot? LOL
Eagle River is a suburb of Anchorage I thought it was just a small-town
eagle river napa has their gold filters on sale right now up to 60%off air, oil, fuel, cabin filters till the 9th
I grew up there from 1989 to 2005. It was a good place to raise a family. I never went to the Homestead Lounge, but I use to play in a few bowling leagues there.
Good content on my bday another NuttyNu drop 🔥
at the shop center i reccomend jitters and jimmys there both really good
Lived there from 2008-2021. Loved it. Sadly i moved but i hope to return one day. This video has helped me with Homesickness and thank you. Godbless
Glad it was helpful!
I drive by and through when I fly up to AK to visit my broski in Wasilla. 🤙🏽
Thanks for the tour. And thanks for showing that red Toyota truck. I’m gonna buy it now hahaha jk 🤙🏽
Already sold
I got my very first driver's license here at Eagle River dmv. 😁
Pretty cool clip; I do like it. Can you please do more clips in Anchorage's areas such as Mountain View, downtown Anchorage and the likes? How about exploring military bases such as Elmendorf AFB and Ft. Richardson Army base? Thank you. 😊🙏👍
Hi, I have rides of muldoon area, please check my other videos.
You did your homework very well!
Is easy to get some room for rent there? In Anchorage...
Maybe come in the summer when it's so much prettier. It's kinda gritty looking. Long time resident. Maybe include Chugiak next time. It's very pretty out there. Bear Paw is in July, week is so after July 4th. Nice 4th of July parade in Chugiak.
My hometown. Can't believe they tore down the movie theatre. Also, you're pronouncing Chepos wrong. I have lots of stories from homestead lounge but none of them are rated G
My father and my uncle live on Hiland Dr
You seem like a very nice guy! Are most people like that in Anchorage? I really hope so! My husband and I will be retiring there, most likely in Eagles River.
Great place to live. Great people, I lived there from 81-2006 then moved to anchorage
70's and 80's memories for me. Right before he approaches the Panda Express was where I got my janky-ass teeth fixed by my Dentist. Then there's the place where I opened my first checking account. That bowling alley turned me into a Black Sabbath fan back in 1986. If you're a right-wing jesus-freak who thinks you can escape secular humanism, you might find a a place in Eagle-town, but I came from the place, and I reject religion entirely.
I was recommended to move here, im looking the most family oriented neighborhood? With plenty to do in every corner for kids and family Do u agree with this? I recently have a job opportunity in Anchorage
Eagle river is nice and friendly
You said chepos wrong
Have friends living on Man-O-War rd
Have you ever been to pizza man? Pizza man in Eagle River is way better than the moose tooth in Anchorage
I will try one day
Plz do more this type of videos bro. No more DownTown vids plz hee hee jk
Why does he keep slapping his arm?
Wasilla gets a two part series
What area have more hiring jobs?

I was out there 76-77 in the Army. Could not afford it otherwise. Good memories.
In this town (where I live) I got on the crime watch. Why? For ww1 German flags. So. Yea. “Fun” also at the 3rd of July thing they have here i made a friend. It was a she. Shocking. But I made a Jewish joke and she got offended. But nothing bad. I never saw her again. I wish I did. 3rd of July 2021
No have bank of america?

I’m friends with the owner of oopsie daisy kids
