you would think. All these signs starting popping up recently. It makes me sad at the lack of humanity our modern society has.I had someone post a sign while i was sitting in my van once, just after I witnessed a verbal and physical assault on a nearby vehicle. All these people roaming around in their vehicles should organize legally then spend time going to city and county meeting to bring enough attention to various locations around the county and have the government councils approve space for designated parking/overnight stay with rules to follow and penalties for those that abuse them. If an organized group pushes an agenda enough they will eventually either find locations sympathetic to the cause or simply convince local governments that it benefits their area. You'd ahve to produce a series of benefits to the situation. Otherwise this "van life" movement mostly comes across as vagrancy. Other options would be to find campsites that allow for vehicle parking and pay $2-$5 a night > like IDK a State or National Park. IDK about Alaska but in the US South East there a re a shit ton of State/National Parks with a range of campsite types. You are already not paying rent - so coughing up a few bucks to legally park somewhere over night like a Park is a no brainer.

More and more are being forced to live in Van's, motorhomes, trailers because of the lack of rent control enforcement. This what happens when greedy land owners start putting the squeeze on middle and lower class human beings. The rich trying to all become lords again..lol😂. Even RV park rents are insane because these giant motor homes with full house utility costs take advantage of full time living at RV parks and this raises rents!!! I was treated like a homeless person looking for a free spot to live. I own my own house but enjoy camping in my RV sometimes. The Forest Ranger rudely told me to just go online and book days at campgrounds. They’re always booked up about 9 months to a year in advance. I prefer to go when ever I feel in the mood and if the weather suits me.

A little tip for you next time you make bacon is to cook it in the oven in the same cookie pan you used for the crackers. Line it with foil and bake it on 400 for 15-20 minutes until its your level of crispness. Its evenly cooked this way and doesn't splatter all over the place. Also makes it easy to pour the grease out of the foil and into a mason jar for cooking later.

Something that might help open up your sinuses in the winter is a small, humidifier. Just walk outside, scoop up a big handful of that pure snow, heat it up to room temp on your stove, pour it in the humidifier reservoir and turn it on. The humidity will also make the air feel warmer so you can turn the thermostat down too.

I'm not sure the name of it is but I'm thinking it's called the Heritage house. I know it Starts with an H. We were allowed to actually stay in the hotel being we are from Trapper Creek Alaska, but we had our van that's weatherize to live in, so we just stayed in it for 5 days in that parking lot instead. They didn't mind. Otherwise they'd have housed him indoors as long as his mailing address is more than 100 miles away from Anchorage.

@@TruckHouseLife , I have a deviated septum myself, had an accident as a child - school bus driver fault which caused me all sorts of problems but I never had surgery. I kept having nosebleeds and one side has been ~90% "blocked" but I've endured it throughout life, use "breathing strips" when needed etc. Anyway, maybe you need to come down to the States if things don't work out which hopefully it will this time. It's been some years back I had a class with a guy who had surgery here and he could move papers from across the room, lol. He told me he had a deviated septum & had surgery & his was a success. I was so glad to have access to the campground on Elmendorf AFB to overnight there. Anchorage is a big city and as sketchy/dangerous as many of the big cities in the lower 48. The auto parts store we stopped at to get a couple hose clamps had bullet holes in the front door glass. The guys who changed our oil at the oil change place (dealer couldn't get us in) were nice guys, but they were obviously members of one of the Samoan street gangs there.

Nice seeing ya kiddo! It's been a while since I've been here. I love the recipe for the Ritz! I watch a UA-cam Channel that does something simular to the surgery that uses a baloon to open up that cartilage in the nose. The patient is awake while Dr does it. Looks pretty painfull. I'm a woos and I'd want to to be under. I have a lady friend who told me that if you ever just need a place to park over night for a few nights, she'd allow you to park there next to her condominium in Chugiak. She has a big parking spot because she is in a wheelchair and she uses the handicapped transit and that spot is only used when she's being picked up or being dropped off, and that never wouldhappen early in the morning. Neitherof us like to go out in the cold early in the day at our age now. We'reboth 62. She'd never ask for money from you to plug in to the electric for the night if you'd like to use it. She's one of the coolest chick I've ever met before! She's been my bestfriend for over 25 years now. I drive down and visit her once a month from my place here in Trapper Creek. We just sit around and get stoned and watch movies these days. We don't do as much getting out these days. It's much more fun doing indoor fun when it's cold outdoors. You can email me and I can get her phone number to ya, if this is something that you are interested in. fefi121061@gmail.com. I watch and always leave a thumbs up. I just had to say hey. Sending my love to you all the way from Trapper Creek Alaska!!!✌🏻❤😊

If I’m honest, do I want someone camped out in front of my house? It would make me nervous. I wouldn’t know if they were tracking when I come and go so they could break in. I feel for folks who are truly homeless, but there are a lot of people who can afford to stay in an rv park or a hotel or who also have a permanent address but they are doing “van life” for fun, adventure and UA-cam. Their frustration with a lack of free overnight parking is not high on my list of priorities.
