Shay is actually an interesting and very human character. Plus the game was good.
This was literally the best game with the best protagonist of the series.

Then you put a snippet of AC 2’s soundtrack and replace the assassin protagonist with a templar one

Story wise, this looks better than Unity.. Unity is just the "Revolution" scenario that Ubisoft already done in AC3.. I'm still getting both though
So we get to see the destruction of the Assassin order in America, while also killing off the only character in AC:4 with any kind of real depth and also defeating Achilles?

They were never the bad guy they want the same as the assassins they are not evil it's just they believe that the people need to be controlled for there to be peace where as the assassins believe every one should have freedom and chose there path. There are no black and whites in ac.
Neither side is good nor bad and I hope people stop expecting one side of any given conflict to be the "good" side. It's boring, one-dimensional and predictable. I absolutely hate it when the antagonist in a story is evil. Luckily, the AC series has depth.
I love the way you think kyrking, that is exactly what ac is, but everyone thinks the Templars are bad, it's just war though, the are no good or bads in war, there's just enemies #roguesawsome

That is somewhat ture but the reason they make these games is because the storytelling is great and they can go to anytime in history to make them. Not only that but fan's like myself keep asking them for more.

Very underrated game I think it should've gotten the new gen treatment that unity did expand on the story more and also keep the hood from the game that they advertised
I like his voice.
And the game was pretty awesome but short.
Did not however like how missleading the Cinematic trailer is along with the actual game cover where Shay's Templar outfit has a hood, while in the game it doesn't, and in the Cinematic trailer he claims he is following his own creed, which would have made him a real rogue, but he is only a Rogue for a short while until the joins the Templars and follows their creed.

I like Shay's character, but he HAS to be killed at the end of the story. He just has too. He is the bad guy. And it would be interesting if the player experiences it, like you play as shay fighting multiple assassins and at one point you just get killed by an assassin, similar to the ending of red dead redemption
I think Shay will wipe out all the Assassins in North America and his last target will be Achilles but he fails, Achilles kills Shay and then years later Achilles trains Connor and he stops the Templars plot.
You can't pass memory if you die. Memory is passed through fertilization in AC

Now that I think about it, Night of the Hunter by Thirty Seconds to Mars would have been a better fit for this trailer.

It seems like when starting this game, the leads said "Alright, since the on-foot combat is still going to be crap, lets make it have an interesting premise and kick-ass enviornments. Probably just me.

I'm sick of people complaining about every single game that's coming out, people have been bitching about indies since the new generation release and now AAA titles are coming they just have to find something wrong with them. If you don't like the assassins creed series then just shut up and don't buy the damn games.
Contrary to those that hate this game and franchise for no other reason besides it's annual release, I'm actually very excited for this game, more so than unity. Achilles story always interested me in ac3. However, I'll wait, because I'm positive this game will find it's way to the ps4:)

I've turned the video resolution up as high as possible, and yet it the graphical quality still seems very inferior to AC4. It's like Ubisoft's decided to go back to the AC3 graphics engine, with ugly lighting and weird effects all round.
Key offenders:
0:13 - Snow should never look like chunky scraps of paper being blown about randomly. Virtually no improvement from AC3.
0:20 - Is it just me, or does the lightning look...weird? Like it appears and dissapears unnaturaly quickly?
1:01 - Ughh...
1:25 - Look at what happens when Shay puts a foot down.
Although the scenes at 0:44 and 0:53 look pretty good. Overall, Ubisoft had better redeem themselves on amazing gameplay and storyline, because the visuals look far from breathtaking.
You are criticizing the Gameplay graphical quality from a youtube VIDEO?!!! Dear god... :( its definitely the end times.. ;P I've PLAYED Rogue in high graphics and its very good. (And they all use AnvilNext game engine, FYI....)

It's Achilles. He is the main villain of the game.
Achilles because homestead is full of assassins but assassins creed 3 Achilles with cane shot the leg no assassins in homestead because of shay.
I don't know why but this Game was way better than Unity, and it had a way better Launch. Plus it was almost completely Bug free

It's slo mo so a pc and next gen version is literally confirmed. There is no way a past gen console can run this at 60fps+.

nope it's achilles... this game happens while Connor is growing up... probably before his mother dies or at least certainly before he leaves the village... the assassin Shay is fighting is achilles... or at least you can tell it should be achilles because achilles' old assassin outfit was available to wear in AC3...
