Excalibur which is the only "legendary" that can be aquired before completing the game felt really slow and weak. Whats the point of getting the coolest weapons when the game is over...

When you go for the Lagertha Axe, there is those little explosive jars in the house behind you when facing the wall that you need to get through. Swim under the floor and you can get inside that building. 😁
You get given that same axe from the hunters hut after beating all legendary animals, i picked it up from that chest before getting a second one from the hunters hut, so i think there was an oversight or glitch, since you're not supposed to have 2. Probably changed it in the chest and left it as a hunters hut reward.
For lagertha axe, the explosive jar is in the house on the other side of the frozen lake. You have to break a small part of the ice and swin under to access the house
3:19 there is an oil jar in the house next to the lake you need to dive into the lake to get inside and after you remove the door block you can grab it and blow the enrance.
There is definitely an oil jar in Housesteads that lets you get the Lagertha axe. It took me a bit to find but (if I remember correctly - it was a while ago) you jump into that tiny area of water by the breakable wall and dive down until you come up in a room in the building next to it. There is an oil jar. You can bust your way out and walk over to the breakable wall.
Lagertha's Axe, theres a explosive pot in the house directly in front of the wall you need to destroy. You need to dive underneath the water to enter the house, move the pillar, than pick up the pot and climb out the windo
For all the people that don’t have the Incendiary Abilitie for Lagertha’s Axe. The explosive powder keg is in the house straight across the wall you have to blow up. Just dive under water in front of the house to enter the house.
Great video I would like to mention a common weapon which I have had fun using its called the blacksmiths hammer, its very easy to find and its perk is (every heavy attack you perform will knock the enemy down) so you can use stomp ability to deal crazy damage on pretty much any enemy apart from bosses and legendary hunts
I was wondering why he didn't mention the blacksmiths hammer. It's definitely a top 10 weapon in the game. It's fast, stuns enemies left and right and critical hits are op as hell on it like you said. I paired it with a spear/carolingian longsword and put on Thegns and mentors armor sets and parrying and critical hits are eliteeee
In all games I play, I never use weapons or skills, just heavy and light fist attacks. I never wear armor or use healing and I play on the hardest difficulty. I always make sure that I'm blindfolded so I cant see the screen and I have the volume turned down to zero. I also turn off the vibration on my controller. I just find it more immersive this way.
So, I was pretty disappointed that I went through the trouble of getting all the tablets, and killing the three zealots, only to discover that Excalibur is barely more powerful than the great sword already in my possession. It has cool extras such as sound effects, a chance for a fire ring and looks really cool. But it seems like a lot of trouble for not that much more power.
Did the game really end after doing all of the raventhorpe missions because it feels like its over but then again there wasnt a proper send off to show the story is ovef
@@sergantzuc3002 I loved the whole main storyline and where it leads our Viking to become the leader of Ravensthorpe at the end. Im really looking forward to all the dlcs. 🙃
It’s a little late, but at 3:27 the explosion pot is in the shed directly in front of the wall. I think I swam under the ice to get inside, or soemrhing but it’s located in the shed
For Lagertha's Axe, there is a house directly behind the wall you have to explode. Jump into the water, swim under and up in the house. Move the box from the window and carry out the oil jar!
The one thing I don't like about the cape or the hammer is you basically have to beat the game unless you wait to do the DLCs that allow you to take your weapons to that is.
Hey guys the way to get it is now changed - u need to defeat all the legendary animals and give the loot to the butcher in ur settlement and then ull get it, i got the drekar shield from that place and the vordr’s bite from defeating all the legendary animals
Both true and false. Thor needed a belt to lift it properly while jotuns are strong enough because of size. So one could argue u become strong enough after having his gear.
I don’t like it either it swings like a two handed hammer but is a one handed hammer it’s just too slow for its perk I feel if it matched a one-handed hammer speed it might be pretty bad ass
One of the best bows in the game, in my opinion, is called "Nodens' Arc". It can be found in northern Eurvicscire. Right next to the high point at the top of the map is 2 bodies of water. The largest one is a big lake, with a little island with a tree on it, and an ore cache. If you have Excalibur, and you break the ore clump at a certain time, at sundown I think, then it breaks and drops the bow. It is a Hunter bow. The ore is unbreakable until the perfect moment. Fully upgraded, it deals 126 damage, 46 speed, 146 stun, 119 crit-pre, 94 hd-shot, and only weighs 11.
A bit late I guess :), I am playing on normal and any fully upgraded hunter bow with the Dublin set will pretty much head shoot everything except bosses, guess I am boring but I rarely take any damage in missions. The raven collects all my arrows and I pretty much never run out.
Flail spin to win and 2H axe spin to win. I started the game but the axe+shield doesnt feel like a viking so i just go with a 2h axe i found on an island but dont know what to upgrade.
I like to dual wield Mjolnir and Gungnir with Mjolnir in the primary hand. I use Excalibur solo because it's too slow when you dual wield with it. It swings a bit faster when you use it solo.
@@ty_williams2671 You can get a perk that lets you hold right sick and right trigger and you can switch mid combat, The sword has a pretty neat charge ability when it's in the off hand but Mjolnir is good too sometimes because you can just hold LB and wail on people then stomp them lmao.

I don’t know why, but they changed the way you get Vordr’s Bite. Now you can only get it if you defeat all the Alpha Animals in the base game. I hope this helps anyone who is confused.
To get lagerthas axe if you dont have the fire ability. Dive under the pool of water there, collect the titanum inside the water, swim forward into the hole right in front. There you will see a fire jar. Move the pillar thing blocking the window and parkour over to the stoney wall. ya good now
I just tried to get Vordr's Bite at lvl 202 at the location mentioned, but it is a Light Shield now. They may have moved it since the video (not a slight to the video, nice work)
Whats the point of almost finishing the story only to unlock a weapon. After the story most people quit any game. Facts. How do I know? Check trophy rarity on Playstation.
that's why it's a special weapon. It's for the completionists. And sometimes they do it to add a more hours of gameplay on top of the story. if you could get it halfway through your gameplay it's a bit less unique, and i did 60% of the main story using excalibur. It's a fun weapon for sure & still my favourite but i dislike how there is no true endgame weapon or legendary gear to collect. I was hoping the Thor set & Mjolnir would be the legendary equipment :/
Some players wanna complete a game 100%. When you rush story missions you prob around 30-40% of the game. Most of the time the game gonna be fun after the story line, when you are at late game
I agree with you but it's sad how apparently the best weapon is saved for after the best part of the game is over. Yes ofcourse many games have 999x side quests but come on most games are judged on the basis of the core story. Although I do acknowledge some exceptional games like skyrim/witcher can have some really cool side quests too. But yeah completionists deserve some respect and acknowledgement in some way or form for their effort and time that they put into these games. It's very easy for us to talk crap about a game or people who finish 100% everything. It's because of them casual gamer like me gets to see and experience stuff that I would miss out on otherwise. So thank you again for being awesome.
bro I said the same thing...its so stupid...you get this awesome weapon and now you can't even use it because the game is over what fucking sense does that man man...at least excalibur, while it may take a minute to get, you can get it with a ton of the game left and actually use it makes no sense...
Odin's spear can be picked up when you go there with Sigurd. I don't know if the story blocks it if you go with him, but just run ahead as he is extremely slow, go left in the cave, pick it up, and go back to Sigurd.
(Lagartha's Axe) If you take a 180 when you are at the vulnerable wall you will come across a frozen pond. Dive under the water and swim underneath and into the house that is next to the pond, inside you will find an oil barrel, I somehow messed up the powder trap shot so this might help anyone else who messes up the shot.

Nice guide and video, it's a shame the "legendary" weapons can only be aquired after completing the game, I really wanted to run around with Thor's hammer and Odin's spear during my playthrough.
Excalibur which is the only "legendary" that can be aquired before completing the game felt really slow and weak.
Whats the point of getting the coolest weapons when the game is over...
UGH RIGHT?! I wish you could get them all earlier in-game.
I'm sure they'll make new game plus available if it's not already. Then you can start the beginning with all the gear you gathered. That's is if you're into replays
They will be handy in the dlc's and in ng+
i was so mad too.. i went for all the order hunts and in the end still had to fight the last fight without them...
fkn shame
Its for end game content and a potential new game plus.
To get Lagerthas axe there is an explosive jar in the building just opposite, swim under water into it
You get the dive of the valkyries during the mission “An island of Eels” at “Isle of Ely Monastery “ raiding !
You get the second one at “lolingestone Bandit camp” to the bottom right of “Lunden”
If anyone needs hope this helps ! 😬
Thnx man
3:11 swim under water and up into a room. You can find a moveable object move it out of the way and take the oil jar
So as long as you are really good at not getting hit by zealots you can get Excalibur very early in the game.
80 hours into the game and I’m proud to say I’ve defeated the main story, the order, the three witches to get Mjollnir and just finished getting all 11 tablets tonight to get the Excalibur. When you go for the Lagertha Axe, there is those little explosive jars in the house behind you when facing the wall that you need to get through. Swim under the floor and you can get inside that building. 😁
Ah I thought there was something special about that one. Kinda got lost in the story and forgot
3:00 there is a lake near the wall if you go in there you can go in a house and there is a explosive jar
Gungnir can be picked up when you start the mission brothers keeper.
There's no vordirs bite in that chest. I got there a shield. Does the loot changed after update?
Yeah i didn't get it either. I did that chest just now after the update...
Same here got a shield also
You get given that same axe from the hunters hut after beating all legendary animals, i picked it up from that chest before getting a second one from the hunters hut, so i think there was an oversight or glitch, since you're not supposed to have 2. Probably changed it in the chest and left it as a hunters hut reward.

@@scottsymons7195 just got that axe from the legendary animals. So yes, it was duplicated so they corrected it, makes sense.

There is definitely an oil jar in Housesteads that lets you get the Lagertha axe. For all the people that don’t have the Incendiary Abilitie for Lagertha’s Axe. The explosive powder keg is in the house straight across the wall you have to blow up. Just dive under water in front of the house to enter the house.
Great 👍 An S-tier weapon is Housecarl's Axe. Another S-tier weapon is Yngling Seax.

Guy didn’t even give a spoiler warning 😐
@@abid4444 Why are you watching a video about the best weapons and expect no spoilers? Lmao
FYI is great against shield Bois too
I was wondering why he didn't mention the blacksmiths hammer.
I recently got mjolnir and vericas sickle and they both are a very good but commy loadout
Thanks man I now have some of the weapons and like you said its 100% worth it

Hey guys the way to get it is now changed - u need to defeat all the legendary animals and give the loot to the butcher in ur settlement and then ull get it, i got the drekar shield from that place and the vordr’s bite from defeating all the legendary animals
That “worthiness” thing with Thor’s hammer is definitely not congruent with Norse mythology.
Facts. The fucking thing was literally stolen by a Jotun who tried to blackmail Odin into giving him Freya in exchange for giving Mjolnir back.
@@paultucker9411 again that’s because it was insanely heavy Thor in mythology needed a belt that would double his strength to wield in properly
@@AurioDK same. Bows are just overall op lol. Hunter bows are my favorite

@@ty_williams2671 mjolnir in my primary
I like to dual wield Mjolnir and Gungnir with Mjolnir in the primary hand. I use Excalibur solo because it's too slow when you dual wield with it. It swings a bit faster when you use it solo.
@@ty_williams2671 You can get a perk that lets you hold right sick and right trigger and you can switch mid combat, The sword has a pretty neat charge ability when it's in the off hand but Mjolnir is good too sometimes because you can just hold LB and wail on people then stomp them lmao.
I've been doing my thorfinn impression since asgard
For Lagertha's Axe: Don't have the Incendiary ability? Np, drop a torch, light your arrow, and you're golden.

I use the double spear, you get these pretty early game. They are prob the best weapons in the game xd who need legendary weapons? Haha
bro I said the same thing...its so stupid...you get this awesome weapon and now you can't even use it because the game is over what fucking sense does that man man...at least excalibur, while it may take a minute to get, you can get it with a ton of the game left and actually use it makes no sense...
