Sometimes just having the conversation no matter bad faith the opposing side is important. Happy content works when the franchise or hobby is healthy. When the average person thinks the hobby is in a bad spot, the reactionary or explaining of why things suck get the clicks. The normal person, the casual if you will, dictates what’s successful and what isn’t.

However there is a genuine problem hence as you said even normal people feel things are off. Watching the concord discourse was insanely entertaining, not just reactions but peoples opinions on them. Look as much as i hate to say this...criticism makes things better, gaming is changing in a way i hate in so many ways with live services and monetization and for me the dei became an issue when it really impacted the games in a bad way. Fact is with Concord its simple observation...people did not play the game ...why ? because they saw it and sure hero shooters have gone down hill but it was obvious that for many they saw the characters and said ...nahh i do not want to play that.
The character design was bland uet all over the place, that and the gqneplay is why a general audience never played it. I don't like hero shooters, cus i hate em. And the others avoid it because it had a similar feel to SSKJL, which had mediocre gameplay at best, and terribly bland and flat characters at its worst.
Gamers just said "nah, ill just play something else" and the devs are still mad about that.

It's because he used to be a rallying point for gamers who were fed up with the state of Halo, Xbox, bad industry practices, etc.
I know it's unlikely but I would love to see Actman and Kirsche talk. I think she would be able to actually articulate a lot of the problems with the industry well, unlike the last guy that tried to debate him.
There needs to be more bridges in the divide. I'm all in favor of getting folks together to debate the current status of the industry.

After seeing what he did with PMs for people that he was friendly with I wouldn't trust the Act Ma'am at all.
Craig is absolutely right, people want to know what's the situation that they might need to know about. So much so positive content on UA-cam is now framed in a mysterious manner that implies something negative like "the masterpiece Microsoft forgot" or "the fighting game that could've changed the industry".
I used to enjoy the actmans content but now I can't really watch him because to me he's delusional at best and disingenuous at worst...
