That might mean her OWN lawyer will also charge her for WASTING HIS time as well. Either way, she's gonna either have to pay with her own money, or waste any Legal Defense Fund money and give some of that money to JT (something such backers will NOT support).
The fact that she praises such workers, and then turns around and want to sue someone DOES seem like a pretty bizarre issue.

Nah, what she wants is to crowdfund off of the idea of lawfare. I suspect that she won't even bother to show up to court, or at least won't show up prepared and will invest the bare minimum into actually pursuing it while quietly pocketing most of the donations she grifts. Hope she gets counter-sued, otherwise she'll earn a little money, get her targets to spend a lot of money filing legal responses then laugh as the case collapses and she washes her hands of the whole afair until the next mark comes along and she gets to repeat the process. Again.

If anyone remembers the Sargon / Akilyah Obviously lawsuit, one of the reasons why Sargon was able to win that case was because he kept quiet before and during the trial. An interesting thought experiment would be to state directly at Alyssa or Kotaku, "I have an opinion" and then just not share what it is. They will not know what this opinion is. They have no way to determine if this opinion is positive, negative, or even potentially one they agree with.
Will this unknown opinion bother Alyssa and/or Kotaku more or less than an opinion that is not directed towards them that they know is counter to their ideology?
Sadly, it's extremely likely that the opinion's simple existence will be considered a form of criticism or harassment.

It's a psychological phenomenon. I forgot the scientifical term but it basically means you invest your beliefs, your work and at some extent your life into a guiding motto so much, that at some point you're simply incapable of noticing how faulty your are. This is very much so the case with strong religious believers and while you guys over there in the states certainly have a strong religious base, the same thing goes for everyone who is not advocating for Christ, Allah or the Flying Spaghetti Monster. That's why activism often resembles religious faith in many aspects on a behavioural base.
JT is dishonest. He retweeted a post from Mercante’s stalker, who lives relatively close to her-from Brooklyn to Jersey City.
When confronted, JT playfully ignored the harm he had caused and continued to joke about it. Even getting him to remove the retweet was difficult, so Mercante reached out to his wife because JT was too immature to understand that he was putting a woman’s life at risk over video games.
It is not illegal to email or message someone's wife on Facebook, and I’m glad Mercante did, because what wife would stand by a husband targeting another woman online?
JT has channeled his anger into mocking Mercante and others, as it generates views for him. He even created a "hit list" on his website to rally haters against these individuals. Mercante has been doxxed across various platforms, and her stalker continues to engage with the content JT and his colleague produce.
I don’t understand how, as a small-time content creator, he is unaware of the effects his videos and blog posts are having.
Ignorance is not a valid excuse, and he will have to answer for this in the coming months.
