I CAN RELATE TO THIS SO MUCH!! I FRICKING DIE WITH CRINGE WHEN I LISTEN TO MY RECORDED VOICE! 😭 But this is definitely gonna help me! Thank you Peggy and team!!
Gosh I got a rude shock when I heard my recording. I sounded completely different to my original voice . Damn I have a speech and drama degree but I make so many mistakes. Thanks for this. This is excellent.. I’ll record.
Hey Eve! It gets easier and easier the more you do it, and after more time passes you won't feel that way as much. Glad this inspired you to record yourself!
First of all congratulations for the courage Peggy, for me it's strange to hear my voice alone yet post it in a youtube. Btw I think it's another useful thing is to learn how you should be positioned around the microphone.
One important thing is to learn to really feel your voice. Listen to your body. Use your singing voice frequently to build those muscles up and gain endurance, but you've got to recognize when you need to take a break. Also, pay attention to what you eat and drink. Acidic and spicy things might be really tasty, but your vocal folds are not going to appreciate being asked to work hard when they've been irritated like that. Carbonated beverages aren't super great either. Avoid those things before and after you give yourself a vocal workout.
Truth be told the Rock band mic for the ps3 works on a PC. And suprisingly it sounds pretty darn good. I use Krystal audio engine to record and mix, its free to download and easy to use.
Christine argulra was born an Dude. Which is the same reason why ALL of the famous people can sing sooooo well. Like Steve Perry. She was born an Female. Im a REAL Dude. And i have to push the wind out of my lungs, in order to achieve the "middle" of the note long enough for articulating the words.

"Get used to your voice. That's a beautiful thing" I love that phrase!
