agreed, I enjoy seeing all the money pile up in the bucket! As someone whose eye twitches to see disorganization, I really wish he would tidy up his office! Seeing all those coins just laying around on the table drive me nuts! :)
I went to my friend's laundromat yesterday here in Sydney, Australia. The vending machine was 95% empty & the Laundromat was full of cash. The bus stop out the front brings people in for drinks / snacks. He will be slowly replacing machines with Tap & Go credit boxes so no need for coins.
@@peterg.8245 Yeah comparing USA's banking system (which seems to be stuck in the 80's) to Australia or western European banking systems is really though since Australia and Western Europe kept developping how banking works and thus the need for cash is way lower.
@@peterg.8245 Cash is still king & I still use cash mostly. Don't forget that you still have people in the USA who don't have a bank account. This new generation do not carry much cash - it's all cards & phones. Eventually it will be implants or Biometrics for payment. We have had direct payment for wages for 30+ years into bank accounts. If you are constantly refilling your bill changer with coins you need to deposit the notes into the bank. With direct payment (use cards) you have the $$$$ in your bank account immediately. I think for now it's about what works best for each location & it's clients'.
People who don't carry cash are at a disadvantage many times, and you end up venmo'ing friends who paid for you instead. While credit boxes are good so you can diversify how you accept payment, cash is not going anywhere just yet. Maybe wait another 30 years.

Anybody can succeed on UA-cam with great content and hard work. The way I see it, the money you make is a bonus. The best part of UA-cam is getting to put your ideas into videos that will last forever. I have a lot of unique counterintutitive ideas that I want to still be in the world hundreds of years after I'm dead. I want to accomplish that through UA-cam, and of course I want to make a crap load of money also!
Get yourself a gorilla grip tripod and put your camera on one of the laundry cart posts. You can wheel the cart the cart around with you and focus the camera on your subject (you or coins) The cart will also hold your buckets so you don't have to carry it around and back track so much.
LOL. You make collecting a fist full of dollars look like hitting the jackpot. I appreciate your candour and honesty. Looking forward to seeing more. Good Luck!
I'm considering starting a small chain of car washes and laundromats. The largest four car washes would have self-serve along with automatic, and the smallest ones would just be one or two self serve bays. Then, some of the car wash locations will also have a laundromat, while some laundromats may be stand alone locations.

Hey Brandon I have a couple questions for you. How old do you have to be to own machines? Where do you buy the machines at? Do you install them yourself? how old do you have to be to own the laundromat? And how can you own the laundromat? Thanks👍🏼
I do an honor box at work. I average $6 dollars a day profit. I sell chips, cookies and candy bars. Unit price for chips and cookies is .33 cents, they sell for $1. Candy bar unit price is 67 cents, they sell for $1.25. I am saving up for a vending machine or ATM.
Why do you not have the labels on you soap dispensers? The plexi glass on the front is for labels. Tear the front off a box and stick in there so people know what they are buying.
I wish i could afford to do that im only 13 so i cant make money like you do but still its good seeing you collect all of that is never boring watching you
Are u going to make a sit down video talking about if u need permit in different states, where to get them, how much is it to have a vending machine in a spot, Insurance, where to get the vending machine products etc ?
Buy a machine off Craigslist and find a location... there’s no contracts. You’ll need to pay your taxes of course. In Oklahoma you sign up for a free coin operator account with the tax commission and buy a $75 sticker per machine. Optionally you can get a reseller permit to buy inventory tax free and there may be fees for your type of business LLC/S Corp. In my prime I had 16 locations pulling in $70k/yr revenue for only 20hrs/wk. Soda is heavy and 30-40 36pks/wk will wear you out. I sold this January before any news of the pandemic because of personal medical problems. I payed my niece to handle the soda while I did pastries, chips and candy ...poorly.

if you want a stupid option for saving coin money. you have a vending machine, you could put money in money clips, and then put the money clips in the vending machine. this means fewer coins will walk out of your store/laundromat because people will buy paper money in paper clips from the machine. put $20 worth of 1s in each clip, and that is ~80 quarters which don't leave the store. it isn't as good as an automated coin counter with automatic payment, but simple is good in it's own way. there is a bit more risk, because that money can't be spent, and might be stolen. but the cost is mostly labor and paperclips. also there is opportunity cost wherein one of the slots in the machine can't be used for a product. but it also means you don't need to go to the bank as often. another option which might have value: you said in a previous video that you buy soda from costco. you might be able to get repeated deliveries from costco to your business for standard orders. for example once a month they bring two containers worth of each soda you carry to your little office room. if the deliveries are regularly paced, they may give free delivery to secure your business. around here grocery stores have better prices for soda during sales/discounts than costco. if you gather money the same time every month, then you could have them deliver while you are there.
Brandon, you keep mentioning the snacks/soda machines' prices when celebrating their gains, but how much do the refills cost? You get a fat stack of dollars, how much of that goes to cover the cans you had to buy to refill the machine? Those products aren't free. So percentage-wise, how much of those fat stacks of cash is actual profit?

Keep up the good work my friend. There is always going to be haters dont let them get you down they are just jealous. BTW how much it cost to fix the pusher or did he just get a new one?
i disagree that people don't want a laundromat, etc. because it's not easy. brick and mortar businesses require more money to start. you got to find a good location. deal with the municipality and permitting. have the capital to invest in equipment. think about security and protecting the property and everything therein. etc. the bar to starting almost any kind of business online (yt or not) is lower b/c cost is often lower. that actually makes it more attractive.
I thought you were in the process of getting new washers and dryers, what happened to that? Also, what happened to the other laundromat that you purchased?
It's $100,000 do the new equipment I was hoping to start on that in March but with coronavirus a lot of the lending programs dried up. Still working on the two others I might have a big update on those soon

Something i'm curious about is do you do your own laundry at your own laundry mat ? or do you do it at home ? if you were to do it at the laundry mat would you lose more money then compared to doing it at home ?
I believe he lives a long distance (at least a 20 minute drive) from this laundromat, so it would make sense to just do it at home. He has a family of 6 so I'm sure they're doing laundry every day. I recently read a few articles on whether or not it made sense to buy your own washer and dryer or go to a laundromat. Pros for owning: do laundry whenever you want. Pros for laundromat: usually multiple machines available at once. Takes time away from home but if you can do multi washes and multi drys it will save time. Cons for owning: home machines are not usually made to last. Repairs and/or replacement is expensive. Cons for laundromat: have to leave the house, haul all your laundry, may seem to cost a lot. Other comments made included stages of life - if you have young kids, owning your own laundry machines would make sense if you have to clean up soiled sheets in the middle of the night. Someone else ran the numbers and figured it was overall a lot cheaper to go to a laundromat and let someone else worry about maintaining the machines.

Maybe Oz is more advanced but cash is more common than debit and the fees charged by the processors are usurious.
