LANGKAWI ISLAND SKY BRIDGE & CABLE CAR - OVERRATED?? (Langkawi Malaysia Vlog)

- LANGKAWI ISLAND'S FAMOUS SKY BRIDGE & CABLE CAR may be just slightly OVERRATED. We claim this because it's $20.53 (85 MYR) per person just to ride the cable car. Then once you get to the bridge, you must pay an additional (6 MYR). If we were from MALAYSIA, it would've been half the price which honestly may have made a difference. The whole place was crowded and gave off an amusement park vibe. The views were unbelievable but we're just not sure if they were worth the price. If you have kids, it seems like an awesome place because they have so many things to do for families. We don't regret going to THE SKY BRIDGE & CABLE CAR but we definitely wouldn't do it again.

Glad u come to Langkawi before school break.. U can go anywhere u want very easy.. Once school break starts, its hard for u to find a place to stay coz there are fully booked n crowded .. Hope u enjoy yourself there.. 😊

you re doing amazing job guys, i ve been watching your vids 2 hours without stopping...I know how time consuming is put video together, but you did it simple the best, great music, great comments and very helpful hints for people would like to go. but from now on i think the travelling for next years will be so difficult ...it s very sad that you had to interrupt year trip but on the other hand you re lucky safe back home as there are still many people locked down on very remote places of the world and as well many on phillippines.. I would agree with you guys that Rm 85 each for a ride in a skybridge & cable car is a bit expensive, maybe for one trip it's ok, but definitely not for second time. Congrats on your 10k subscribers! Woot woot! I do agree with both of you that langkawi skybridge fare kinda pricey. As a local and backpacker myself, I would rather skip this place for more adventures in other parts of the island. Pantai Kok is such a beauty as it's a man made beach anyway. Going up north, do find this underrated Skull Beach (Pantai Tengkorak) which is located in a remote area I can say. The beach itself is really spectacular. Please don't forget go for Tanjung Rhu Beach for its sunset which is deemed way much more beautiful than in Cenang Beach. If you're lucky whenever the sky is clear, you can see the glimpse of the whole sky turns into red. I wish that both of you had a good luck in finding ones! P/s: Be safe and as always enjoy your journey!

"Lang" means Eagle and "Kawi" means reddish-brown marble....so you might come across some brown eagles on the island
actually helang is eagle but yeah lang is depicted from helang

I agree. RM85/person is expensive. But you can look at the big picture. The cost of food, transport, accomodation (which you pay continously) is cheap. This can compensate the expensive tickets (which you pay only once).

I guess as backpackers, every cent counts. The question is the cost benefit thing. If everyone pays the same local pricing with perhaps a RM 10 extra for tourism tax for foreigners, then perhaps it is better. The gov should rethink about the pricing post covid come 1st April 2022. For a local, i think it is expensive to go up too unless money is not a problem.

One of underrated spot in Langkawi is Gunung Raya...I went there for my sunset and escape from crowded location...you might wanna go there

@@ian.and.ana. Location wise generally I would say it's right in the middle of Langkawi. Exact location would be between Ulu Melaka and Ayer Hangat.
There's a tower on top of Gunung Raya (MYR10). Gunung Raya is the highest point of Langkawi...
Today is Wednesday...don't forget to go to Night Market in Kuah Town as well...
dont forget to check out Temurun Waterfalls and Skull Beach [small enclave/beach)] right across from each other. Did u guys go to the seven wells waterfalls close to the cable car? we really wanted to swim in the lake but didn't get around to it! And we know we would've loved the tours but we didnt want to spend the money this time around

Very nice video, I enjoyed watching all, I noticed in the beginning of your video that you began filming and recording from a very very cute small island with white sand, AM i RIGHT ? The answer should be yes, so you are asking yourself now, why in the world this guy is asking this question ? The answer is that I went on that small beautiful island 10 years ago (for a whole afternoon relaxing) and there was NO SLIP BOAT !!! It was a virgin island !!! And surprised to see that it has changed threw the years Just kind of shocking ... I strongly hope that it will stay clean with no trash. So please tell me how did you get to that island ? Is it the marina Telaga Harbour Marina that rents maybe dingy or zodiac ? I would really really appreciate an answer from you The Other Side, thank you
Guys I would suggest Pulau Kecil (small Island) in Terengganu, and to the long beach side, not coral unless you like hiking to get to long beach...

Langkawi a place I can relax when I need a peace of mind.. choc is cheap food is nice ppl are friendly. Can go fishing. Easy by plane. Definitely fav destination..

yes they should revise the pricing for non malaysian as we expect more foreign tourist. 2020 visit malaysia year. Should take advantage on our weaker RM, thai bath are growing but yet they are afraid of low tourists, everything will be expensive for tourist even they still selling at the same price years before, now they willing to reduce hotel and some other prices to attract tourist, so malaysia please learn something from there. We not goin rich selling high for one time, we should give an affordable price and gain it everytime. 😎
I thinks it perhaps you came during the weekend or during school holidays, it is usually not that crowded, I go to Langkawi every year and the cable car its not usually that crowded

Sooo cheap here compared to the US! A 5 minute car ride in the us can cost $8 which is 32 RM
While a 5 minute ride here is 4 Rm which is $1
We had a 40 minute car ride and it was 31 RM $7.50

Yeah the Cable car ride is way too pricey and touristy. Even Malaysians find it pricey and not worth a second trip. But overall Langkawi is a beautiful island if you know where to go. Try the Geoparks and the eagle feeding spot in the middle of the sea. That is the real Langkawi that you should go to. Woot! Woot!
