  • Ready to start our next part of our journey in Malaysia! Left Bangkok and flew into Kuala Lumpur for the night before leaving tomorrow morning for our flight to Kota Kinabalu. In this video we look at some of the major differences between Bangkok and KL. Very interesting comparison but both great cities in their own ways. We even got to see the Petronas Twin Towers and stayed at an AirBnB for $15. It had an INFINITY POOL! Let's keep this adventure going WOOT WOOT

    You don't have to cover up with scarf and all that. you can wear anything u want as long as it is not too revealing, like wearing bikini in the middle of the street. Religious places like mosque and temples have dresscode. Kuala lumpur is quite liberal to a certain extent. But its not a city that 'party' like Bangkok. Its more family oriented. In rural areas people can get conservative, but so is Texas.

    Thai comes to Malaysia : So many rules
    Malaysians : What rules? Is it not common?
    Malaysian goes to Singapore : Argh, so many rules!
    Singaporeans : Seems normal to us.
    Anyway welcome to Malaysia. In Kuala Lumpur, clothe wise, as long you are not wearing speedo or bikini, should be fine. Unless you want to visit mosques and some other religious sites, wearing t shirt and short, should be fine. Kuala Lumpur is not that conservative
    I do hope you both enjoy the experience here. Oh btw, Thailand and Malaysia are more different than you think. We use different languages, different in religions ie different local customs, and different history as Malaysia once a British colony, where as Thailand has never been colonised by anyone.
    Looking forward for your next adventure in Malaysia. Have fun.

      @@ian.and.ana. Oh! You folks just made my day. I've never had my comment pint before. Thank you :)
      30 days in Malaysia? Well you'll have plenty time to know us. If you are looking for places to go in KL, you should ask around or on social medias. You should specify what kind of places you are looking for. Nature, historical sites, religious sites, or places to find great local and international food. As for transportation, if you want to save money, you should try the GoKL free buses. There are 6 lines if I am not mistaken, and they can be quite confusing at first, but when you get used to them, should be fine. They also provide free wifi on the bus.
      Have a nice day, hope you are enjoying your stay here :)

    as you probably already know, the dress code in city area is pretty lax.
    my friends go out wearing short shorts all the time. nobody bats an eye unless you're being obnoxious or loud.

    For expats, family trip or to stay as resident, Malaysia would be better in term of english spoken, good infra, modern city,a bunch of superb apartments, variety of foods. For group of members Thailand is more popular expecially for party goers, beaches etc.. Greeting from 🇲🇾 and have a nice trip bro.

    • @secrets.295
      @secrets.295 4 роки тому

      @@ian.and.ana. I think your comments are inaccurate. You have to consider that Americans pay for services in dollar terms and they make American dollars. In many south east asian countries, its cheap if u r a traveller from a first world country but its not as cheap as u would imagine for the locals. We make so much less money than Americans do, minimum wage are non existent in many South East Asian countries too. So its actually pretty much the same when u consider cost of living to income factors. Having said that, when it comes to Malaysia I do think property prices are relatively ok compared to its neoghbour, thanks to good central banking policies and also big currency depreciation over the past 5 years have made KL and other Malaysian cities as unattractive for property investment. Even then I do not think it is as ridiculously cheap as u would describe. ☺️

The lift stopped halfway n brought us to a dark floor that wasn't numbered (creepy) . Also at the lobby we heard youngsters organising a drug party n I sat at the lobby w my baby as I was feeding her n couldn't move and had to listen to their conversation.
