- Our FIRST DAY on BUM BUM ISLAND in SEMPORNA MALAYSIA was perfect! We met the best crew at ND Scuba and had our first dive. The dive was an introduction dive to get us acclimated, but we still managed to see a turtle! There are turtles right below the scuba house which actually stands on stilts. So far we are loving it here!

Hi Ana and Ian! I am a Malaysian residing in the US. Glad you guys are enjoying my home country. Malaysia has still much to offer in tourism and its way underrated compared to our neighboring countries. Will definitely keep in mind Semporna and all the beautiful places that you guys have visited. Can’t wait to see them in person hopefully in the near future.

I'd strongly recommend that you spend a few days in Sarawak (the neighboring state) beginning from Miri (visit Niah & Mulu Caves), Sibu, ending in Kuching where there's plenty of cultural attractions esp. the Dayak's..

Bum bum island is okay but i think you should visit bohey dulang to , bohey dulang is one of the seven wonder on earth , multiple island joining up sandy beach and also diving hotspot lost city under water actually it's a city of coral

Ha ha. Its a Bum Bum island and you guys are great to live the lifestyle of the locals in Bum Bum Island. Ignore the bus ticketing guy. He probably is just pissed with what he does. There's always that rotten apple in the bag. Glad you managed to overcome this.
The Cat Is Hungry Btw ,It looks skinny Because people there Very Rarely Bring food to it,Thats why everywhere in Malaysia I will bring 2 Small Packet of Whiskes (Wet Cat Food)So everyone do that Can Give to them😊

hey guys, are you still in semporna? I'm from semporna though, I can recommend you guys some places.
1) Bukit Tengkorak Historical Site
2) If you still staying at Bum Bum Island please go to Pantau-Pantau though.
3) u staying at Nd Divers. you shd do night dive,
4) btw, bum bum island is a paradise for macro living.
5) mataking island, pom pom island, timba- timba island
6) for micro living u can dive at Tampi Tampi resort,
7) do some dive at mabul and kapalai guys, mabul u may see Jack of school etc for kapalai just be careful with triggered fish it might bite u.
8. tb precise there are 49 islands in Semporna, staying for 3 days is not enough. hehehe,
hope your enjoy ur days here at Semporna.

1) u shd watch sunset at tanjung aru, kk
2) must try seafood next to Pasar Kraftangan Kota Kinabalu.
3) there is a lot of hills at kk u might climb one.
4) u can go to kundasang, kudat. but u need to drive to get there tho.
I was living at kk for many years, there is a lot of cheap backpackers or hotel.
