Why I hate the natural hair movement

I hate the natural hair movement. And I know saying this without context is going to welcome a flood of backlash, but just hear me out.
I don’t hate that our sistahs are showing that they love their natural hair. I hate that there has to be a movement for it.
I hate that we as the original women of creation have to commercialize and make loving ourselves a movement.
Any special event in life (birthdays, new job, prom, graduation, weddings, etc.), we’re quick to present as something other than who we are.
We are the most versatile women on the planet NATURALLY yet we’d rather trade in our uniqueness to be basic like everyone else.
Lets start showing love to each other no matter where they are on their self-love journey, and not discourage someone for appreciating how The Most High created them 🫶🏽
