This video is not denying the SOCIAL benefit skin, hair and eye colour have, but that is a complex topic for another video. The point of this video is that most people have no idea what they’re looking at, often confusing sclera for iris colour.
Bro you punched me in the face w/ healing in this video. I have very dark eyes and light skin. Blue eyes look intimidating to me bc I know they're preferred in the west and I feel as though that person who is usually white will focus on our differences more than what connects us as people. It sounds silly to say but as I get older I notice how certain things in society affected me
the fact is blue eyes are seen as better aesthetically just like most rare things are seen as better i.e. "exotic". blue eyes will always be 'better' because less people have them just like someone owning a bugatti vs a ford, they both drive, but since less people own bugattis they are seen as better even though they are both cars and both drivable.
@@GreyGrim Green eyes are 4 times rarer than blue eyes yet we see this talk, this video and your comment about blue eyes and not green eyes. Not to mention that in some countries blue eyes are the majority and it's still seen as more aesthetically pleasing.
I’ve also noticed that a key factor is having a LIMBAL RING. The limbal ring plays the biggest factor. Doesn’t matter the color. I have medium brown eyes that are more golden brown in the sun and the contrast of my iris, sclera and limbal ring makes people compliment my eyes all the time. Also I have almond shaped eyes so yes shape plays a factor. I’ve met so many people with blue, green and hazel eyes that aren’t that attractive. The limbal ring and shape make a huge difference
@@lovelymelody7 exactly. Sometimes it’s not about the color at all, although color can have a benefit for very superficial reasons, but it doesn’t play a role in overall attractiveness in the same way let’s say jaw line would . Tysm. Us brown and dark brown eyes are winning

I happen to know a lot of ugly people with blue eyes. It does nothing for their overall appearance. Colourful eyes will only enhance someone that is already beautiful.
Imo I find pretty up is only correct in portrait photos. Blue eyes do catch light pretty good. Irl I don't keep enough eye contact to care about the colors.
I think a reason why people think that lighter eyes are more attractive is because it photographs better. I think photography as a medium makes brown eyes lose it's depth/dimension and shine. So if these studies are conducted with photos, there might be a bias already.

My ex is from Iceland and he told me that brown eyes are seen as more beautiful than blue eyes there because in Iceland basically everyone has blue eyes. I live in Sweden and I have seen the same thing but maybe not to quite the same extent as him. I have dark brown eyes and they are always what people compliment first about my appearance. Not the color itself but just the overall appearance. I've worn green contacts as well and did not notice an increase or decrease in compliments. But people did comment about the green color more. Maybe it's because I have darker skin and it's more noticeable than if I were white.
No, you are just good looking. If you had hazel eyes the experience would be the same, you would receive the same compliments. Beautiful people with blue eyes are beautiful.Beautiful people with black eyes are beautiful.Beautiful people with hazel eyes are beautiful. It's overall and summarized effect. As a child and young teen I always thought I looked plain and boring, even ugly because my hair and eyes were naturally very dark, and I thought everyone with lighter hair and lighter eyes was automatically prettier. When someone complimented my looks I thought it was pandering. When I matured, I realised how dumb that was, and how little your hair color and eyes matter overall
If your hair was light and your eyes were light and clear you would have received a lot more compliments throughout your life, that is a fact. Beauty is evolutionarily hardwired into all of us. Don't hate the player...hate the game. Some are just born lucky.
@@therealmccoy6112 but light hair definitely isn't universally beautiful. the way i see it, an evolutionary trait of beauty is something that almost every single person can benefit from having e.g. facial symmetry, prominent jawline, good dentofacial growth So many people would look straight up ugly with light hair, sure there are some dark haired individuals that do look better with light hair but to say that light hair is something we are all evolutionary hardwired to be attracted to? No way

I’m from a country where more than half of the population has blue eyes and it’s always foreigners who obsess over blue eyes. I was surprised to go online and learn how many people it actually is. All the research is alright I guess but I honestly think it’s mainly down to it being a “unusual” and “exotic” trait to people from other places.
@@TricksterLawlet yeah exactly. The only eye colour I’ve heard people being fascinated with here is green - and that’s full circle back to it being less common
I love brown eyes in men and women. Of course, the shape matters but what I tell everyone is that brown eyes feel like looking at hot cocoa, coffee, chocolate, whiskey, etc. All the nice things in life come in shades of brown.
Surprising most people in my country find Light Brown- Brown eyes more attractive. Similarly they find medium tone skin (Goldish color) more attractive as well it’s like a standard.
I think it has to do with familiarity. I read a study how men with blue eyes prefers women with blue eyes a majority of times. They thought it had to do with familiarity and how they recognize themselves in that. I guess it’s possible for it to be the same in countries with brown eyes as the dominant color as well. If that’s true I guess I’m screwed, lol. I have extremely green eyes with central heterochromia so.. 😂
@@victorias6250 in this case it's the opposites, the countries where blue eyes are rarer, those are found to be more attractive, while in countries where they're common, other eye colors are more attractive. Same with hair color, beards and other features.

I’ve seen someone who I thought had dark eyes, but upon closer inspection it was actually really dark blue. But yeah I get what you mean with some blue eyes being “intense.” It’s when the color of it is too light or reflective, it seems too pale.
You see this everywhere, in books, in Reddit questions, songs, school, everywhere: "I wish I were pretty like her, blonde with blue eyes". I'm a brunette, brown eyes, I live in Sweden and know a lot of blue eyed blondes I'd never swap my looks with... color means nothing without the right bones and all
@@TheKonnoisseur11 beauty is subjective, but no. If you have incredibly ugly looking eyes or if your face does not match the eye colour then no, having blue eyes will not make you more attractive, you need to have other much more important features of your face that are attractive. I know loads of blue eyed people who are, generally speaking, unattractive. Not because of their eyes, but because of the other more noticable features of their faces.
Black eyes can be beautiful too, if they sparkle. Shiny, youthful eyes are beautiful no matter the colour. I was just commenting that the premise of this video is based on the creator’s bias about blue being universally seen as the most attractive colour when it really differs based on where you are in the world and your personal preference.
If someone has amazingly detailed blue-green eyes it is extremely interesting to look at--like rare jewel. If everyone had eyes like that it wouldn't be so intriguing.
For me the skin, hair and eye color does not matter in terms of attractiveness. However the eye color does play a role when it comes to vibe. Brown eyes make you look more warm and nice while blue eyes appear more dominant and aggressive to me.
idk what it is about really light colored eyes, bc no matter the shape, they give me chills sometimes. maybe it's to do with the pupil being rlly visible or smth
I think blue eyes can increase your attractiveness depending on your other features for example you see Adriana Lima , her blue eye color really makes her eyes pop out more especially combined with her warm undertones and dark hair.
I don't think that the colour of someone's eyes affects their attractiveness. It is constantly misunderstood, if you look at edited pictures of adriana's eyes. You can clearly see that her attractiveness is not bothered with one BIT. Blue eyes can be said to be more of an effect as they pop in colour and are brighter.
@@Anialuvii I still stand by my point but I agree that my argument was weak 😭. Idk , I just noticed that blue eyes can give increase the attractiveness, depending on were you live a lot. ( I have blue eyes and literally got countless compliments on them so ig)

THANK YOUUUUUUUUUUU. Some ethnicities (like my own) have so much pigment in their brown eyes that it might look black - but thats not an actual iris color that occurs naturally for people lol. Its a DEEP brown. How do people not google this stuff before making an informational video about it 😭

Okay yes, it’s not scientifically correct but how else do we distinguish between all the different shades of brown that people can have and then those that do appear black? It’s easier to just say black than “super dark brown, that almost look black but scientifically they are still brown”! Black eyes are beautiful too!
I've always had this opinion, believing that eyeshape and eyelash density are way more important than eye color but couldn't express my thoughts in details to the people who were asking me why I'm like that. I'm glad that this channel have showed me that I do indeed have a good understanding for beauty unlike people around me who might have distorted look due to colorism/colonialism. This channel is one of the best if not the best when explaining beauty and attractiveness.
In my experience I tend to notice that more-so than eye colour, often times people comment on contrast. Ie, I have dark hair and very light eyes with very white sclera. When people comment, they often say something along the lines of “your eyes are so _bright!_ “ or, “your eyes stand out so much!” I don’t necessarily think it’s the colour they’re noticing as much as how it contrasts with my other features. I also have a very dark blue limbal ring around my iris that sharpens the line between them and the sclera even further, which factors in. When I was younger I dyed my hair blonde and I didn’t notice as many comments about my eyes at that point because I lowered the contrast between my features. On a small scale, this may be why many people often call people of more melanated ethnic backgrounds “so exotic” when they have light eyes. I have Indian and some Middle Eastern far back in my heritage, but my admixture is mostly European. Most people correctly assume I’m mostly Eastern European or Irish, yet I’ve still been called “exotic” when I let my hair be dark, and exponentially more when I have a tan. I really wonder if this is much to do with contrast, and would love a video on that principle as well.

I'm from Southern Africa and I could say the same about skin color, people think if you are light skinned then you're automatically attractive and popular. Often you'll see some people comment on celebrity pictures; " if they were dark-skinned they'd be ugly, it's lucky that they're light skinned." - that in itself is a weird comment, but many people, men and women, believe it to be so and are taking creams and medicine to lighten their skin for a chace to be beautiful. It's such a jarring transformation too, some end up wirh light skin with black hyper-pigmentation or with translucent like skinned with green veins. Still they continue because they single out this one trait as what will make hem beautiful, not their face proportions but their skin color.
I got a lot of dark hyperpigmentation and never used those creams! It was prolly cuz I used to play a lot as a kid and not apply any lotions or sunscreens back then 😂
So I come from Sweden, a place where a large majority have blue eyes. But I don't, I have medium brown eyes (with brown hair and pale skin). I only noticed that a lot of people prefer blue eyes through American media. Swedish people really don't notice or care for blue eyes.
Where I'm from in South India, light-colored eyes are colloquially called 'Cat's Eyes'. They are considered interesting and unique, but they're not the conventional beauty standard.
How about Aishwarya rai and Rani Mukerji etc. I always used to think because Bollywood would cast actress with light eyes that in India generally light skin and light eyes are considered an attractive and even an preferred trade in women.
@@Moesie Not necessarily. Endogamous population groups that were historically higher caste do indeed have higher concentration of fair skin, especially toward the North; but this is less so in the case of Southern Indians, especially among coastal populations that have a lot of admixture across castes. I also have to say that eye color can change how someone’s face looks. I’m sure someone other than me can explain it better, but I’ve seen way too many beautiful brown/black-eyed women start to wear colored contacts and the contacts negatively changing how their face was perceived. At least by me. To me, a darker eye color seemed to fit their face better. I’ve even seen this phenomenon in photoshopped pictures of celebrities.
ive seen the opposite too, there was a girl on tik tok with light colored eyes and she put a filter on with dark eyes and I honestly thought she looked better with dark eyes. vice versa, some people with dark eyes do look better with colored contacts, it really depends on each person's face
I’ve been saying this to everyone that says something about eye colour: Shape and overall proportions are what makes eyes beautiful. And then if you have bright eyes they will look great, but if they’re brown they would look warm and beautiful as well.
-eye shape - eye orbit -neutral cantalt tilt -deep or wide set eyes - scerelal show whiteness -sin paku eyes -eye brow shape, thickness distance from eyes - eye youthfullnes ness , bags dark circle Hunter eyes, almond eyes , deep set are preffered on men.
I think all eye colors, hair tones, and skin tones are beautiful in their own way. However, not every feature is beautiful, and in order for a person to be beautiful, all of their features (ideal or not) need to be in harmony. Beauty is hard to define, but most of us know it when we see it.
Colored eyes are mostly seen as desirable in a place where it’s uncommon simple as that. In the grand scheme it doesn’t really matter in looking aesthetic.
I’d disagree. Over here in the US where at least 70% of white people I meet day to day have light eyes, I still hear about women obsessing over who they date so their children also have blue eyes. It’s probably racism to some extent, but it’s there.
My eyes are black, despite that I’ve been complimented many times on my eyes. So, I get that shape matters. I have almond shaped eyes that are average sized, and slant slightly up.
Are black eyes really a thing? Or when 6:26 you look in the mirror are they just dark brown? I’m lowkey jealous of people with black and light brown eyes because my eyes are hella green with like blue and very small brown rings in the middle. You think I would have dark eyes because both of my parents do and one of them is Latino but I guess not😭. Some people will assume I’m soft just because of my eye color it's annoying. Also, they get sensitive to lights very easily because of the lack of melanin.
This reminds me of the time I said the most beautiful woman I have ever seen was a mixed black Latina from the Caribbean during college. I meant and still mean that with all unbiased honesty, as a proud man from Norway, that woman was and is just striking. And everyone in our class agreed. Just perfect, womanly, with big curly hair, long almond brown eyes, perfect hourglass shape, beautiful full mouth, perfect toffee skin, tiny waist you could wrap your hands around, full breasts, full behind, beautiful legs, not tall, not short. I called her Eve as she genuinely looked like everyone’s definition of beauty, like a blend of Marilyn Monroe and Liz Taylor into one perfect little human. A lot of people thought I was crazy for saying it because I have blue eyes and because I Nordic that apparently our beauty trumps overall human beauty. Having rare features is not beauty. When I’d ask why the woman I mentioned is not beautiful, the argument was always that she didn’t have light eyes and it made me throw up a little. To me a beautiful woman is a beautiful woman point blank, coloring barring. An unattractive white woman that’s blonde and blue eyed is not more beautiful than a gorgeous brown eyed, brown haired woman. I would ten times take the brunette over an unattractive fair eyed woman as I care more about beauty than coloring.
All you need is a tiny waist, big boobs, big hips, full lips, perfect toffee skin, full behind, beautiful legs, perfect height. Is that so much to ask? LOL jesus
I believe that besides to the social obsession with blue eyes, eye color can enhance or disguise the presence or absence of objectively attractive eyes traits such as pupil size and limbal ring thickness, so there are attractive eyes of all colors, but I suppose that the most attractive among the attractive ones will be those that are beautiful and of a light color that enhances their beauty. Great video, I don't understand the popular association of light eyes equals attractiveness, regardless of anything else

You've probably talked about this before, but you mentioned scarcity and rarity being one of the leading factors in attractiveness. Brown simply can't be the most attractive color simply because it is the most common eye color. People are drawn to scarcity and rarity, which is why i believe green eyes are the most attractive. Obviously, it's not a rule of thumb but it certainly is a distinctive feature that makes a person stand out in a crowd where 90% have brown eyes.b
he whipped out the numbers, believe him, having ginger hair is rarer but universally agreed as less attractive then the most common hair colours, do not forget that humans find averageness attractive.😘
Yeah, except people are also attracted to what's common and familiar to them, which is why brown eyes were rated pretty high regardless of gender, even though the research suggests men have a preference for lighter features, brown eyes was the 2nd highest most liked, and for women it was rated first, with very low porcentage of dislikes as well. Brown eyes may not be the most striking or rare, but they're the most well-rounded overall.
@@kamil3969 for women id argue ginger hair is considered universally attractive. Not so much with men though, that's a good point. However, ginger men are often "scarce" in a place like east/southeast Asia and tend to do well there because its "exotic" and unique. Ginger men probably wouldn't do very well in a predominantly white area in comparison because its common enough to have a consensus formed around it, in this example not being the most attractive. Familiarity and averageness is always a drawing factor, i agree with you there. Like I said though, its not a rule of thumb that something exotic is by definition better. However it does make you stand out and a lot of people are into what they're not often exposed to in their nurture.
Having rarer traits isn’t always attractive. Green and blue eyes are more easily damaged by light. They also show a small gentic pool because green and blue eyes are recessive.

great video as always...i think the misnomer that eye colour is as attractive as face shape etc when its not, comes from many things discussed in your bid BUT also from the striking-ness/vibrancy of colour. For example, i have sometimes received complements about having blue eyes not because of having blue eyes is deemed as more beautiful necessarily, but from the contrast to my black hair and dark eye lashes and eyebrows. Another example is some people prefer having a tan because it gives them a bit of colour and therefore also increases the vibrancy of the face. Make up and different colour eyeshadows can do this too.
Thanks for making this vid! Something off topic but still interesting to me - close to the 4 minute mark you refer to women as females a couple times while men as men. wow - I didn't know there was association between blue eyes and beauty .. learning that now. To be super honest for me clear eyes seemed to be creepy - like I'm scared on the intensity of green eyes or blue eyes when they look at me during a normal conversation - makes me feel super uncomfortable; but now I'm thinking maybe that's due to some hidden gender preference, as if probably if I were a man I'll feel more naturally attracted to clear eyes.. interesting.
As a woman with light blue eyes, my eye color is what I get compliments on the most, and it’s something I really appreciate. Although there are always those people who can get really weird about my eye color, I overall tend to feel like it’s the most “harmless” aspect to be complimented on. I would say that blue and green eye colors are considered beneficial to the facial beauty if there’s a contrast to the skin color and to the facial features. For example, if we take identical twins with the darker skin tone and make one of them have blue or green eyes that person will be viewed and considered as more attractive even in European countries. In this situation what defines beauty is the contrast. I have seen people who were not even pretty in the face but had beautiful eye colors and I started to view them as attractive.
Exactly what I was thinking! It's literally the same with people liking blonds so much and why you find so many blonds out there even though only 2% of the world's entire population is naturally blond. It's a brighter color and captivates people's attention way more than the color brown (not saying brown is ugly, we can't deny blond is more eye catching). It's also associated with youth. It's rarity makes you unique and people love to feel special and unique
This doesn’t hold up to scrutiny. In parts of the world where most people have blue eyes, they are still the most sought after. And if your rarity hypothesis were correct, people would think grey eyes would be the most attractive but instead they are considered the least attractive within the light eye color trifecta (blue, green, grey)
eye color is kind of like style where it can be a small multiplier and take someone from an 8 to a 8.5 (or a 4 to a 4.2) if someone has a preference for that color. with that said people with darker eyes tend to have darker skin and tend to be more resiliant against sun exposure and sun aging.
Eye colour doesn't matter, it's how it contrasts and/or blends with your face. For example, blonde hair, pale skin and blue eyes are only seen as an attractive mix because they are all light colours that blend very well together. I've got pale skin for a black person and I've always gotten loads of compliments on my incredibly dark, almost black eyes because of how they pop against my skin tone.

@@Moesie exactly, people only notice features like eye colour or hair colour if it blends with the rest of you and if you are already attractive. At the end of the day, colour usually doesn't matter, it's more about the shape of the face and how well the colours mix.
Are they overhyped? Yes. Do they offer anything in terms of surviveability? No. Are people obsessed with them? Well apparently. Wish you talked more about the societal aspects of it. If you ask any western women on the street what she likes then chances that she will say blue are quite high. Higher than brown. This can mean 2 things: Either women dont know what they want which is probably the case and or society softwired women to like blue eyes. Either way. The hype around them alone makes them desireable
How is facial structure relevant for survivability in the wild in the 21st century? I get when people dislike actual deformities when you can't use your tongue or breathe properly for example (huge topic - because breathing function is very different in a lot humans), but I don't get it form a functional-aesthetic viewpoint when people dislike extra buccal fat or weaker jawline growth.

It just seems to me that if you change most people with brown eyes to green or blue, regardless of their facial harmony, it will make them appear better looking. This seems to work even better on tanned or dark skin as the colours then really pop, as you can see from the eye colour changes in this video.

light color vs dark color have their strengths. light color the iris looks smaller so more "piercing / agressive look" vs dark colors that the iris "looks" larger. the size of the color part influences a lot. so someone with a lot of white (sanpaku) and with light color looks more "aggressive" because the white looks larger, eyes smaller from a distance. I have seen some east asian beauty trends to uses color and ring lenses to make it larger, and younger looking. makes a huge difference for someone with smaller eyes. the aesthetic advantage of light color eyes is to and greater difference in hue from skin and hair color and more values information. darker eyes, look more "kinder" due low contrast with the iris and the reflection appears better , more contrast, so looking shinier. but a person with darker hair and skin with light color eyes and a person with light color skin and hair with dark eyes have the biggest contrast so making their eyes more catching for eye contect.

skin undertones mainly, look up the color season theory if you feel like it! Some colors will bring out shadows or make then softer on you, so depending on how your skin interacts with your clothes you can look more tired, or bring out your eyes and lips, it's pretty cool
It’s color compatibility. Have you heard of Color Theory? There are some colors which look good on certain skin undertones. For example cool skin looks great on lighter colors. Whereas tanner skin looks great on warmer colors but no colder colors.

Am I the only one that prefers green eyes? A lot of my family members have green/Hazel eyes on my father's side. There are some on my mother's side as well, but not as many. I love big brown almond shaped eyes as well, and blue eyes are lovely, but if I had to choose a color different than my own, I like light brown eyes or green eyes. Edit: I forgot that my niece had grey eyes as a baby, but they turned Hazel as she grew older. When my relatives got older, those with brown eyes started developing noticeable blue rings around their eyes (that looked pretty, unlike the big ring in the video) due to glaucoma.
idc what anyone says, i prefer my dark eyes, they contrast really well with my skintone and make me look cartoonish and "cute". ive worn colored contacts before and they made me look colder and less "cute". in general when it comes to attractiveness its 100% eye shape > color, some people look better with light eyes, others with dark
Coming from east asian country we legit have poems on pretty blue eyes... I growing up wanting a pair and i hate my boring black eyes its like so not interesting
Although I agree colors are not as important as shapes, I will say those with both aesthetic shapes and contrasting colors will draw more attention than just the former. Also, when it comes to eyes, it usually comes down to iris size for attractiveness.
wait is blue really consider the most attractive eye color, because for me it's definitely brown, and the darker it is the better, but that might be the grass is greener thing because my eyes go from green blue and grey depending on the lighting, and I don't really see much in those colors in comparison to the shades of brown or very deep green
2:18 Since blue eyes (light eyes in general) occur in places as diverse as Afghanistan, India, North Africa, etc. if nothing else they signal genetic diversity in those places, and genetic diversity has benefits for reproduction and immune health. It's the same reason people are excited by someone who can speak a foreign language, all else equal...or even just a foreigner visiting a place gets novelty attractiveness points, all else equal.
My guess is that the perceived higher value of blue eyes comes from their relative scarcity in the world population, not from any aesthetic appeal. Similar to women with blond hair. It's found in one macro-ethnic strain whereas dark hair (brown or black) is found in multiple macro-ethnic strains including brown hair in caucasians. But that's just my lay man's hypothesis.
People do tend to compliment me on my eye color, when what they may actually be seeing/noticing is the overall shape of my eyes, or indeed the sclera like you talked about
What about color saturation/depth, the intensity of the limbal ring, and contrasts (dark hair/skin + light eyes or dark eyes + fair skin)? Those traits seem more in important than the color per se...
The statement you made about eye color not having physical advantages is a shaky theory at best. It has been proven that having brown eyes gives less strain from bright lights / sunlight. There is a theory that lighter (blue) eyes can take in more light, making for better quality night vision.

@@darciee.7337 exacrly they keep forgetti g that the eye shape sclera eye brows thickness matters
On a small scale, this may be why many people often call people of more melanated ethnic backgrounds “so exotic” when they have light eyes. I have Indian and some Middle Eastern far back in my heritage, but my admixture is mostly European. Most people correctly assume I’m mostly Eastern European or Irish, yet I’ve still been called “exotic” when I let my hair be dark, and exponentially more when I have a tan. I'm from Southern Africa and I could say the same about skin color, people think if you are light skinned then you're automatically attractive and popular. Often you'll see some people comment on celebrity pictures;
" if they were dark-skinned they'd be ugly, it's lucky that they're light skinned."
- that in itself is a weird comment, but many people, men and women, believe it to be so and are taking creams and medicine to lighten their skin for a chace to be beautiful. It's such a jarring transformation too, some end up wirh light skin with black hyper-pigmentation or with translucent like skinned with green veins. Still they continue because they single out this one trait as what will make hem beautiful, not their face proportions but their skin color.
Colorism is a disease.
I got a lot of dark hyperpigmentation and never used those creams! It was prolly cuz I used to play a lot as a kid and not apply any lotions or sunscreens back then 😂

@@defyyourlogic487 I wasn’t talking about the US, the majority of the world is not white sir, if you haven’t noticed .
Also, they get sensitive to lights very easily because of the lack of melanin.
then i think ur just pretty, my eyes are very similar to yours and i do not get compliments on them.

I have very green eyes and I like my color tbh. I have an okay eye shape too (large and horizontally wide). However, I’ve been told by a friend that my eye color makes me look like the devil and that my eyes are freakishly big 😅😅, but that was from someone who had never seen eyes like mine.

I’ve also noticed that barely anyone can actually remember someone’s eye colour, I find myself having to ask family or friends what colour their eyes are.
High contrast is what people are really attracted to. Usually the easiest way to have contrast is just have light eyes and dark hair.

I do personally find very light blue eyes unattractive in both men and women, but that’s very personal
I personally think that attractive and avarage people are even more attractive when they have an eye/hair colour I find pretty, but with people I don't find attractive colours don't change anything.

I have a friend with blue eyes and pretty good eye shape. I tried explaining to her that the reason her eyes are beautiful has more to do with the shape and less with the color. She kept insisting the the reason her eyes are pretty is because of the color.

great video as always...i think the misnomer that eye colour is as attractive as face shape etc when its not, comes from many things discussed in your bid BUT also from the striking-ness/vibrancy of colour.
I've never personally found them beautiful

I think it’s because of rarity, Light colored eyes is rare, that’s why it’s more appreciated.

I actually always hated my forehead because it's as wide as my cheekbones lol a more "egg shaped" face looks more delicate and pretty in my eyes.
light color vs dark color have their strengths. light color the iris looks smaller so more "piercing / agressive look" vs dark colors that the iris "looks" larger. the size of the color part influences a lot. so someone with a lot of white (sanpaku) and with light color looks more "aggressive" because the white looks larger, eyes smaller from a distance.
