I was randomly recommended this video but it's pretty relevant for me. I'm a traveller myself and you and I have a very similar setup. I use my 2022 Legion 5i with the 3060 140w/16GB DDR5/i7 12700H and I have an S22+ as well. Whenever I go abroad I just take my beastly laptop along with the stand, mouse, studio headphones and soundcard. My trusty phone is also always with me. I travel lite with a single backpack, and it's a pretty comfy feeling being able to take all you need in a backpack with you. ✌️

I have the same laptop and stand and if you do productive work using onboard keyboard then it is not comfortable at all. External keyboard is a must if you work for long hours.

Awesome! I'm still using a 2020 Legion 5 gen 5 AMD (Ryzen 7 4800H). I use mine as a Linux workstation, and when I turn off the dedicated GPU, I get around 8 hours of battery life. It's plenty fast for what I do, and is still a pleasure to use. It's quite strong (I've lost count of the number of times I've dropped it), the screen is great, and I can type a hundred miles an hour on Legion keyboard. I'm hoping I get another 3 or so good years out of this machine.

I'd highly highly highly recommend you stop that keyboard position right now. No matter how much you kid yourself thinking that that is a natural and comfortable position for your wrists. If you really need the "I'm free to move wherever I want" hype, find some space on your backpack or utility belt for a portable keyboard.
u went the complete opposite direction and i guess its the perfect use of it i mean i dont go travelling around much but once at home i stay pretty much for an eternity im happy with my laptop and monitor setup , prolly cuz i dont need portability anyways but if ever im going on the same path as urs definitely this vid is gonna be a big help

love this video man, keep it up!! If you're looking for an upgrade for your camera I suggest the Sony 6000 series like the A6400 or A6600 and an old A6500 if you're on a budget. You can look at the new Sony ZV-E1 that got revealed this week. These are small compact mirrorless cameras that offer a lot for how small it is, I use an A6400 myself and it is a workhorse for my work. I hope this can't wait for a future update setup!
This is the point I have reach today. I was all about maximizing screen real estate only to realize that I wasn't using it effectively and in fact never helped my productivity. So I have it sitting in my closet. As far as what you carry in your bag I have the same with one nuance, a keyboard hehe. Two other things that can help: Gaming keypad, a half keyboard that has all the keys you need in game (A4 tech has a 15€ one that I've been using for a decade.) Suction cooling fan, for laptops that heat up a lot. Opolar has one of the best around, and you can get 15 to 20C cooler.

Don’t know if someone has said this but the reason why the Viper Ultimate dock isn’t charging anymore is because you have some dust and dirt under the mouse. Do some gentle cleaning on under the mouse and the dock with Q-tips and they should work as before.

I also have the legion 5 pro 2021 (Ryzen 7 5800H, RTX 3070 version) but I have trouble bringing it with me. gaming unplugged sucks, it lasts only an hour and not to mention the weight! its like carrying bricks lol. but it really shines when its plugged in. hey man I used a velcro tape to attach it at the back and remove it easily. Be careful though because it can ruin your laptop's coating when you decide to remove the tape one day in case you want to sell it

How did you put your SSD at the back of the laptop? Is it magnetic? I have a Crucial X10 Pro and I would also like to connect it with the back of my laptop. Do you know any magnetic case or something similar?
hey man I used a velcro tape to attach it at the back and remove it easily. Be careful though because it can ruin your laptop's coating when you decide to remove the tape one day in case you want to sell it
