The chord at 0:25 is just G7 not G7b13
Tim Henson is better and doesn't have to use clickbait-y titles.
Morgan_Fucking_Freeman it’s not really clickbait-y also why comment if you’re just going to whine
Morgan_Fucking_Freeman they’re both great guitarists
its my first time seeing a chord mixed with natural harmonics
i think its because he is playing the chords in 12th fret. I mean if an open string hits while playing at high fret, its sound doesnt sounds like normal
Can you explain this for a noob?
@@gamaltk Look closely at 0:14 he played Emadd9 with index finger playing harmonics at 12th fret.
@@OcnarfMusic What are harmonics?
@@nojukuramu I disagree. a lot of add9 and add11 chords etc play the last 2 strings open even at high frets and that open sound is just amazing. A lot of John Mayer stuff use these chords. Adding the harmonic was a great variation though
some of theese chords might be a name for X Æ A-12's brother
C-5/E♭ ?

Meanwhile my favourite beautiful chord :
E, Em, A, Am, D, Dm, G
i love Dm, Am, Em, G, it sounds dope to me, kinda sad but vibey in times like these
My favourite progression is A G C F
dont forget C to Cm (and in any other key) too 💀
idk why i heard smoke on the water even tho the chords dont fit
pfffffffffff you're such a beginner, meanwhile I, a professional, I like Am7 (x02010)
This sounds like *‘I miss you’* but you’re *‘moving on’* !!

Bruh I’m so used to reading chords sideways that I was confused seeing it vertical 💀
I was hoping someone would comment on this. The way its laid out seems really odd and counter intuitive to me but what do I know
With the fret #s going across I feel the strings should be flipped to match the view of standing in front of the guitarist.
or
if you visualize it with the guitar in your lap and having the fretboard more faced towards you it would seem the current fret numbers should go in a descending order.
Again, I can't even read music so I'm not one to make judgments just seems odd maybe I dont get it
When playing you actually see the frets left to right ascending (assuming you’re right-handed) It’s the first time I’ve seen it oriented like this though, it’s actually easier for me to process than flipping it vertically lol mad I never knew about this sooner.
They’re not just vertical; they’re backwards. I’ve been playing for 55 years and never seen them represented this insane way.
It took me a second to realize they were sideways. It was really confusing at first.
IKRR
Ichika: "14 fret"
Me: classic guitar
My teacher said that it's not problem. You just put your thumb under the grief, so you'll have a possibility to play those high frets
lol
@Berat Karaman I have one
@Berat Karaman ismine bakmamıştım mvö çıkınca şaşırdım
Classic? just use any guitar with a cutaway
I fully expected "To Be Continued" and a sick bass line to show up at the end there
David Barnes same. Lol
Took me 15 seconds to realise that i was reading the tab in the wrong orientation
Siddharth im still not really sure how to
Same same 😏
Yeah that really perplexed me for a little bit I swear I've never seen chord diagrams like that ahaha
SAME
@@FredInTheCoffee It's vertically laid out, with the lowest string being the lowest horizontal line, and walking up to the high E string. You'll see it with the numbers on the bottom.
So for E minor add 9th, you're barring all strings on the fret between the 12th and 13th for the harmonic touch. Low E is a harmonic, next string down (A) is a fret to the right, next string down is the D string being played on the fretboard two frets up from the note on the A string. Barre continues from the rest of the notation for the harmonics.
Think of it like the note roll of Guitar Hero/Rock Band, or the layout of the tab roll with Rocksmith. All the notes are rolling at the stationary guitar from the angle that you see when you look down at the fretboard below you. The lowest string is closest to you.
7th chords are basically the only thing I know how to use when """improvising""" lol

I'm currently writing a mini song with this chord progression and imma dedicate it to ichika for enlightening me with new beautiful chords and it will be my way of saying thank you for teaching me the ways of how he plays chords
Your comment was made 1 year ago, sooo, did you finished the mini song? Did you got good results?
0:27 reminds me re3 save's theme
The G7b13 chord was just G7, there was no 13 in it. If you did this chord, you would get a G7b13:
x-10-12-10-12-11, with a barre on 10.

Thank you.
This man knows what’s up, 7s are the best.
Vaibhav R 9s are great too

Thank you for showing the chord structure on the charts while playing them. That was amazing!!!!!
that really is beautiful.
ok so no one is going to comment about the orientation of the chords?
I was looking for this comment lol...I was confused at first too
I know dude
The Japanese read from right to left.
It confused me for a second too, but it actually makes so much sense! they're orientated the way you look at your fretboard
THANK YOU. This actually spun my head round trying to adjust. Took me a few seconds to recognise. Thought I'd gotten some form of dyslexia overnight or something haha
These chords are so satisfying
Thaaank yoouuu these chords are amazing !
Normally all I do is noodle when I touch my guitar. I decided to stop being hardheaded and watch your videos. It was extremely helpful. I learned that planning the chord progression can make all of the difference and change the feel of the music; especially how you cadence it. I love your use of open chords, it peppers on a lot of flavor onto the music. I recently started watching Kerry2Smooth videos as well. I studied a little bit of music theory when I was 19 at community college. The theory helps- but it definitely helps more to learn from artists at work 🤟🤟🤟

so basically you know its a beautiful chord when it sounds like an Anime is about to start
So says every other neckbeard. They just sound like chords to have a go at. Probably because I dont know what an anime soundtrack sounds like. Because I dont watch it, because I get laid.
Meanwhile me: never play chord with 'number' & barely touch the fret higher than 5th.
Can relate that. Because I'm learning in acoustic guitar
Sounds like the rhythm guitarist of a Metallica cover band hahaha. (No offense, Metallica is actually my favorite band. I hope you go far in your journey to guitar mastery! Best wishes
