Makes me think of what Michelangelo said asked how he got so good at creating his stuff. He said he didn't create anything, he just needed to (essentially) get the other stuff out of the way from the final product. Awesome stuff dude.
Similar story.... A sculptor was asked how he was able to carve such a lifelike horse ...he answerwd....Simple I just removed the parts that dont look like a horse . Lol .
OMG! This is absolutely gorgeous! When someone has this magnitude of talent, it's guaranteed it all comes naturally to him. Didn't have to be taught, just knew what to do and that's amazing! Keep it up and thanks for sharing your beautiful creations with us. Loving it in Louisiana! 💜💜💜💜
This is absolutely gorgeous. Now that I see how much craftsmanship goes into wood working, I will definitely complain a little less about how much it costs. lol
I live in Northern California. People clear those off property and throw it in the wood chipper. Not me. I hear a chain saw and i go looking for the project to see what wood they’re cutting. Never pay for it.
The author does like to from scratch, ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxbnOKZBE4evMO5V2vroHeCjq6d_MV6wJO shaping and trimming wood from large blocks into fine finished products. As another reviewer mentioned, most projects require a lot of high-dollar equipment that most of us don’t have the room or budget for. But, knowing how to do these things, even if we won’t be able to practise the full stack project, is still great.
¡Bravo!
Really great job! Excellent craftsmanship. It would be helpful if you could post the time it took to produce this and how much would it sell for (in US dollars). Thanks.
At first I was hoping he was going to carve this beautiful piece of redwood into the Stanley Cup! It's still a beautiful piece of art! What I hate is watching some of these videos where someone takes a big piece of beautiful wood and makes a coffee cup out of it!!!
He made that look easy of course years of learning his craft, amazing, what is the piece for. I thought it might be the leg of a full-size snooker table, then a massive chess piece, or a center leg for some sort of table. But then the design on the top left me with knowing what it is specifically for.
I have been putting off watching this video for a while needless to say I was pleasantly surprised instead of looking like a sculptured Hunk of bread would it look more like a glazed porcelain vase
Opino Peter Henry Aylwin Del Rio
Indeed there is a difference between the three Sequoia species and red oak. You couldn't be more right. This piece in question is a red color. But it isn't from those Sequoia species usually know as "Redwoods." Some posts (below) say this piece is rare red cedar. I don't know.
Always blows my mind when the gloss goes on and accentuates the deep finish.
Somehow I get the distinct impression this isn't a weekend DIY project. Incredible piece of work.
What do you mean, he finished the whole thing in 26 minutes

Absolutely Gorgeous piece!!! This man is a MASTER woodsmith!!!
Wow, I never knew technology could blend so seamlessly with traditional craftsmanship until I saw these Wood CNC machines in action.
I don't think it's CNC (Computer Numerical Control). Just a trusty wood lathe.
A Beautiful piece of Art.

The crafsman has amazing skills and tool control! That was a work of art both in creation and final piece.
THAT!!!! IS AMAZING!!! What! An amazing piece of woodworking art!! Mind BLOWN 🤯
There is nothing worse than watching hours of work undone in an instant. Fantastic recovery mate, it's a real work of art.

I've bought a couple wood pieces something like this, and you just don't look at the price tag. Time is money and these take a lot of time
You would need a mortgage to buy that piece of wood in the Uk, beautiful work.
Doesn’t UK believes in stealing ?

That’s why we fought a revolution against you. 🇺🇸
@@justin8894oh cool! I always wondered what that was all about
That is very skilled craftsmanship!
You got a lot of wood chips for your pet hamster😊
12:02 The level of detail and intricacy in these carvings is mind-blowing. True masterpieces!

Am I the only one who instantly saw a beautiful prime rib being served at a buffet in Vegas
Another stunning example of your skill, what a beautiful looking object! Well done buddy..

The development of machinery has helped eliminate hazardous and time-consuming tasks for humans.
Finally someone who preps their wood before turning, instead of trying to prolong the video just because.
Absolutely gorgeous. Would love to own this piece. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
God bless you.
That turned out great. Very nice.
This piece is beautiful
The craftsman has very good techniques
Whatever this wood is, it is stunning!
Redwood
Would be nice to see two or four redwood pillars (10'-12' long, 24" diameter) holding up the second floor landing of a elaborate wooden staircase.

He puts the same design on the end of everything he makes
Well done. This is how a log should be presented to the lathe. Very rare to actually see that. You obviously value your health.
You are an artist! Beautiful work, I have subscribed! It was a pleasure watching you!

Very nice ,why'd you drill out the one end, what's it gonna be used for?
The hole is for dried flowers, it's a vase.
