- In this video I visit Morro Bay for the 3rd time. This time I actually caught something using a Carolina rig with a small hook and lug worms as bait. I caught three new species, a JackSmelt, a Pile Perch and a baby rockfish that I will later identify.

This is the old T-Pier at the northern end of the Embarcadero. Back in the 60's when I was maybe 10, my grandfather who lived in Pismo Beach brought me and my siblings here to fish and crab. Awesome. The rock crabs were huge, plentiful, and we easily filled a gunnysack with a dozen or so. I remember a guy sitting in a dingy a hundred yards from the T-Pier, in the middle of the channel. He stood up and began fighting something massive. I thought he might capsize, but after struggling for at least 15 minutes, he landed what appeared to be a Pacific Halibut, at least 36' long. Occasionally Orcas slip into the harbor. Dynamic, beautiful, idyllic.
Love it VIP!!! ❤

Going to hit that spot today watching some vids for advice. Thanks man keep ripping lips!
That’s the north pier right?, btw, shrimp works so much better than lug worms :)
