That net saved you a 1,000 dollar ticket...every boat has to have it's own...Fish & Game are watching you
that halibut netting was epic
The weather was epic!!!
"Traveling, road warrior style." Lmao!!! Yessir, get em Mikey 💪 🎣🛶
Haha. My favorite. I love traveling, seeing new places, meeting new people, experiencing new fisheries, learning new styles of fishing, it goes on and on. Life is so amazing. Thanks for all the love and support Sifa!
Love Morro bay. Beautiful state we live in.
100% Dreaworld everywhere I go
Great premiere Mikey, see you on the next one! 🤙🤙
Thanks gearlist! I enjoyed it as well. Hopefully the next one is tonight. Fish report video. The bluefin have moved into Tanner Banks
On da scrimps!!
Dat Candy BaR SCRimpZZ!! Haha. Thanks for watching!
The Super Skiff ! Get em Mikey and safe travels. Have a great day ahead.
Thank You. You as well!
Nice. Back in your element. U lucky to land that halibut with as many times it got out of the net. Learned my lesson long ago, always have a gaff.
Good call. Eyeballing it I knew it was a keeper so I should of just gone straight to the gaff. I definitely got lucky on this one. Tight lines, thanks for watching!
Sweet view coming back in with the broken up clouds and red light on the rock!
That halibut didn’t like your net 1 bit!
Thanks day. What a beautiful day in beautiful waters. That hali just barely fit! Haha!!!
My dad actually designed and built the fillet table at the top of that ramp. It had fresh water as well way back in the late 70’s
Great trip Mikey! Love these travel vids!
Thanks John!! Me too!!!
My son I pier fished a lot this summer. We were pretty successful putting a small piece of squid on the subiki rig.
Still one shoe!!!!! Get em Mikey!!!!!
Haha! Goot the strap on boots now!
That was great Mikey! Love that harbor and some day I hope to take my Solo Skiff there. You got lucky not only with the fishing but that afternoon and sunset was beautiful. I have never been there when it wasn't soaked in. LJ and even North and West was slow like you said, then after coming back to West of the point and from 200'-300', bait appeared and I switched the Sabiki to a P Line Minnow and caught and released 4 Bonitos and 4 11"-13" Greenbacks. One Greenback got two hooks from the treble in his mount, while he had 3 small bait fish still in his mouth. Greed will get you every time. No signs of Yellows or Tuna. Beautiful day at LJ. Tight Lines!
Nice Mark. Tight lines amigo!!
Great trip, the Hali was a challenge to land one handed, Congrats !!!
Thanks Tim!
Amazing sunset. What a way to spend a day.
So blessed!
Best sunsets in the world. I lived in those SLO areas for 20 years.
Great fish, great scenery. It will take all the stress away.
100% Thanks for watching. Life is beautiful!
Super bad ass man.
Thanks Phil!!!
Cool you found the reds.
I love them reds. Especially pulling them from 100ft of waters 300 feet of water. Tightlines uncle Tony!
Hey man! I would love to see how you prepare some of these fish! Give us a catch and cook series!
That hali did not want to play. 💪🤘
Probably could have gaffed it but was already down the net road and figured I would enjoy all the delicious meat possible.
Great Video , proper way to land the halibut .
Thanks Darryn! Just barely fit haha
I don’t know the first thing about fishing but I thoroughly enjoyed your video. I live just around the way from your launch. I might have to take up the sport. 👊
You're awesome! I love it. GO for it. Lots of work but rewarding.
Take me with you next time man!
amazing nature shots bro, epic times
Appreciate it! So beautiful and blessed. One love!!
Just starting to really get into fishing and I love your channel man! You always hook it up with tricks n tips! Have a happy holiday brotha, keep killin fish
Thanks Jordan! Will do. Tight lines my man!
Your content is so entertaining you got no dislikes so I assume everyone agrees
Thank you!! Tight lines!!
This is one of my favorite places to fish I've been there dozens of times hey Mike there's a little port in arroyo grande called port San Luis it's phenomenal rock fishing there it's a little hidden gem they load your boat with a sling right off your trailer for 20bucks try it you won't be disappointed I've rocked out there for over 20,yrs just letting you know it's right before Morro bay
Right on ed! I'm going to give this a shot. Stay tuned!! The adventures continue!!
YO...next time you're in Morro Bay and want the monster lings, hit Diablo Canyons PowerPlant. You'll probably be better off in your vessel putting in at Avila and going around. But yeah😎I was deck hand and VirgsFishn in Morro Bay for years✌🥰
Good job buddy
Thank you!
Nice job!
There he is! Mr El Sueno!!! I'm stoked for Friday!
👍👍👍
Thank you!
Come catch some hali in Santa Cruz with us when season opens bra
On a roll!!! R u going to continue north? Keep the videos coming
Thank you. I love it. I wanted to go further but didn't end up going any more north. Next time I'm hoping Santa Cruz and Monterey. Plenty more on the way!
@@SDFishandSips no worries! I love the video.
Dude you dot deserve that halibut hahahahha
1oz torpedo and tiny sabiki to make bait in the bay,
Let me know when you get to Santa Cruz or Half Moon Bay. If I can get off work or it's the weekend, I'll show you some of my spots.
Will do. I'm hoping to get up there again in the next couple weeks but for sure I'll be up there for the holidays to visit family and fish.
@@SDFishandSips If it works out, we can do a Rockfish/Crab combo from our watercraft at Half Moon Bay! Show your viewers how it's done NorCal Style! ;)
Is this spot to south for salmon.
What rods are you using? I’m still a rookie looking for a good all around starting rod. Any recommendations?
I had phenix M1 inshore rod in this video. Check out the Daiwa proteus rods. They have all different sizes, weights, action, etc. Rods depends on what you will be fishing for. If rockfish make sure to have a lighter tip that will bend when they nibble on the bait.
what's up with the trout net? =)
Haha Tommy. It's either the trout net or the big Salmon net. My in between negotiations shredded by a Gold Beach King Salmon last fall. Just barely fit luckily.
It would be great to do slow pitch jigging
Great call. I'm going to get into slow pitch jigging. Any recommendations for a rod to pair with my trax 300for slow pitch?
@@SDFishandSips tranx 300 work just use 30lbs braid and get the slow pitch rod . I try it out cheap rod then move up now i use phenix titan spj rod pair wigh accurate 500n spj reel work beautiful from rock cod to bluefin
are there Lingcod in San Diego?, seems no one shows vids on it, my Dad went on a boat with his friends after he retired from the Navy in the 90's and fished at the area near the Point Loma coastguard lighthouse with heavy kelp and swore he caught the same fish, California turned that area into an no fishing SMR protection zone marked red on map later on
Lingcod are all the way from Alaska through Baja
They are just more prevalent in shallow water in the northern waters
A little deeper and colder when you get south like that
Hey Richard. I've caught 3 lingcod in San Diego, and 1 was a keeper, right out front mission bay jetty.
Thanks for the info Reed! Tight lines!!
what wheels are those for dolly ?
Wheeleez kayak beach cart. The biggest tire size. I'm going to add to my amazon links. Thanks for the feedback and watching!
Need a bigger net
Haha. Exactly. Thanks for watching!
Mikie hit me up and I will get you a coord for lings at port San Luis
Will do. Thank you Mike!
SD Fish and Sips Mikey Here are three coordinates for port San Luis its an easy run for you 1st N 35 08.229 W 120 45 986 2nd N 35 08 .299 W 120 45 .986 and N35 08 .632 W 120 45 .962
During spawning season you can get 20lb + Lings there last week we pulled out two 40 inchers lots of bigger rock fish and cabazons. I was going to take the boys fishing at La jolla next week for yellowtail any suggestions would be appreciated. By the way your page rocks we enjoy watching it. Mike
