Beautiful singer and so underrated
One of the greatest vocalists to come out of Australia...a true legend.
Great memorabilia 🍂
I'm sitting London January 2022, born in Perth. Haven't heard this song since early 70s Fcuking awesome.
Thank God that I grew up in the sixties in Australia we are truly the lucky country!!!!! The rest of the world missed the talent boat and we had the best ride!
EVER
Ditto
Yes it was amazing. ❤
The most underrated singer in the history of popular Australian music!
Everything Russell sings, he blows it out of the park!! Johnny Farmyard has nothing on this guy!
So many underrated talent in this country, deserve to be treated better than they have.
Saw him live last night at the Brisbane Convention centre with an orchestra, absolutely fabulous he's still got it! Love his Blues stuff as well.
The songs of my Aussie childhood... is Russell Morris.. so talented, so underrated... xxx
Russell is so special ❤
I'm a Kiwi in my early 70s, love his music, especially Rachel's Coming Home and Sweet sweet love. Fabulous!!
it deserved to be global hit my in view, Russell
Many of that time did but yes this was so beautiful
What a voice. I could listen to him all day. I was lucky enough to see him in person singing at a club a few times. ❤
Love love love him. One of the most brilliant Aus artists of our time, and so underrated. xxxxx
BRILLIANT SO TALENTED
I grew up with and have heard all these songs but I had no idea his name was Russell Morris. Yet I know every major Australian artist of the last 50 years. Why is that? and what a discovery!
Saw him perform this (amongst others) at a private funtion in 2019.
His still has an incredible voice, and is so humble and approachable. One of Australia's greatest talents ever.
❤ so underrated ❤❤
I luve watching the music from the late 60's and early 70's , Australia was such a fantastic place to grow up back then .
The best and sweetest love song ever written...
Stunning melody...
And how on earth did he hold THAT note. OMG!
Adore!
Where are you from may i ask? NN ?
@@Lex-Hawthorn New Zealand..
I am 80 & I know the words to this song, Russell Morris was just one of our fabulous singers around in the 60's too bad the kids of today missed a great decade, Rock on Aussies.
You are brilliant thanks for your talent 💖💖💖
Under rated ,he sits on saddys and raindrops shoulders forever.
Probably Australia's best singer of all time, yet he was never given the recognition he so deserved.
I think he has the recognition, but he didn't seek the limelight. It always struck me that the music was more important than the fame.
Jon English also had a fab voice and there were others, like the singer from Air Supply, even though I was never a massive fan
couldn't have said it better myself my friend.I am so fortunate to be going to see Russell the week after next, can't wait.
I agree totally.
They never are mate.
Just love Russel Morris... one of those underrated Aussie legends 💕
Just heard him live yesterday. Amazing to this day, sounds just as good.
Can’t count the times I’ve watched this … extraordinary talent…
Wings Of An Eagle. The best Song Ever
Still fabulous! Thank you so much Russell for all the happiness you have spread for soooo long! xxx
I was 10 years old, never realized how privileged I was being around musicians who could sing like this. Thanks for the upload.
Yes…… yes and yes 👏
I agree 😊
A Haaaaaaaaaaaaaa we are a similar age and i had SUCH A CRUSH on him when i was 18 onwards. Gifted song writer and performer :-)
This song was waaaay ahead of it's time.
The one and only Russell Morris everlasting classic Aussie music x
An Amazing Voice.😊❤
Saw him live at a sold out Hamer Hall last year and he is still fabulous!
Anyone else seen the recent Russel
Video. His voice is even sweeter now in his 60s
He might be a little older than that as I'm 66 turned 13 in 1971. But it doesn't matter.😊
Sensational artist, great music throughout his career and I never tire hearing his songs uo til this day. 1971 and I lived through the best decade of Aussie music.
in my top ten all time
I grew up hearing his songs and they have become part of my history 💞
I heard this song back home then in the 70's. Didn't know he's an Aussie. Amazing unique voice!!!
What talent!!!
Love this song.
Probably the first singer and music that my teenage self fell in love with. Russell Morris ❤️ Beautiful, beautiful voice.
Wow, really cool.
You have to see Russell live .. He is awesome. For me it's like he makes the world stand still when he performs. He takes over the room. Awesome.
Anywhere and everywhere he is!
I've seen Russell on 3 occasions and its been a pleasure and a honour
At the end of the day you can't beat class
Comes highly recommended too go and see Russell Morris live
Cheers from Ollie from Franghanistan , Victoria
I agree - was actually surprised. Not only did he make the room stand still, but everyone had a rockin' good time 🎶
@@chrisolsen1918 Greetings, fellow earthling, from a fellow Franghanistaner - though I got out of there a long time ago (was lucky!)
i have done sound for him a few times now. He gets better each time - currently with Jacky Barnes and Harry Brus - it's an awesome show.
Like a number of Australian singer/writers, totally underrated
So so true
Super talented muso!
Sweet sweet sweet love oh I love it ❤❤❤🤣🙏🖐
A MOST VALUABLE ARTIST,, I LOVE
BEAUTIFUL MUSIC LIKE THIS.💙🎶
One of the Aussie Immortals of that 60s to 70s era... but Russell's songs weren't just pop songs to be forgotten. He is responsible for several of the most epic tracks of their time. Deserved worldwide recognition and got some but deserved so much more.
Such a talent. When he sings, he leaves nothing in reserve. Totally committed and how that shows!! Right up there with Shorrock and Stevie W. For me, no other Australian singers come close to these aces.....
He will get a kick out of this comment. I'm his kid sistar. He IS FABULOUS. CJ x
How come John F was never HELD TO ACCOUNT???
HOLY SHIT!!!
That song has been in my head and heart since I was a boy of 11. Russell Morris, you bloody Legend.

I was a girl of 13 and...
yep!!
It is incredible how much Russell's magical voice appealed to little kids back then.
I remember a little two yr old toddler whose eyes would open wide when she heard him singing on the TV She would rush in yelling
" Wussell Mowiss ! " over and over then sit down right in front of the screen with a rapt smile, swaying with tears rolling down her face like a teenage groupie. It's like his clear, beautiful notes bring on some kind of natural spiritual connection that even young innocents can feel.
i was also 11
I adored him! Beautiful voice and personality ❤️
This song is one of my most favourite songs
I used to go and see Russell at the Doncaster Inn Hotel, Victoria. This was one of the go-to venues in the 80s to see bands like INXS, Little River band, Brian Cadd, Cold Chisel, Men at Work, and more. Had I known how iconic all these bands would become, I would have gone Thurs - Sunday. Russell was amazing live!
Me also. AH ha ha Caroline x
good days
One the world's greatest. We were too young to appreciate Russell 😊
Awesome Russell Morris - one of Australia's best entertainers!!!
I’ve been a huge Russell Morris fan since the very early days. He was a wonderful singer/ songwriter then and he still knocks me out 50 years later. Thank you Russell, keep up the great work 😎
me too! Had me a Russell Morris tshirt back in the day - always loved him. I've seen him several times, he never disappoints
I was 19 when it was released, and training and preparing to go overseas on a ''working'' holiday. Left Australia 2 months later. I remember the period well.
Best Australian song ever
Legend.
And definitely underrated compared to "Farnzy"!
Love this song.
Great Grandpa used to sing it to his missus.
An incredible voice and voice. First heard this when i was 6 in 1971. Love it just as much today. Timeless music that unfortunately most of the world has never heard of.
I was nine and the music and the radio were the entertainment in our house. This song and many many others have stayed with me since the early 70s.
Me too, I was seven. Never forget those wonderful days and the great music blaring out of mum’s radio.
He is a Fantastic Singer i've loved his music for many years
So gorgeous, beautiful voice. My older sister and her friends played this song over and over and had the biggest crush on Russell. His voice still makes the hair on my neck stand up.
same ! i had the biggest crush on him and I still love his voice

One of the best songs I've ever heard and the music of this era outdoes anything of this (present 2020) time!
Steven Thomson are they still churning it out? I think it's dead and gone

Just a beautiful song! Well ahead of its time IMO. What an amazing voice Russell has. Been listening to and loving this song for around 45 years now, thanks to my beautiful, late parents, who made sure I listened to great music for as long as I can remember ❤️❤️
