You were the only one who told me Damon were amazing! I should have tried sooner. I was a bit traumatized by Sezane’s pants so I didn’t even want to give it a chance lol I think the grey color is an excellent neutral, it would be beautiful with other shades of grey, white, black, blues, greens, pinks..I actually can’t think of a color that wouldn’t go with it. ☺️ It’s a bit bulkier than other Damons probably, because of the lining. I’ll be styling them soon with more tops xx

I can’t wear any synthetics. Polyamide (nylon) isn’t necessary, quality wool would do beautifully to strengthen the alpaca fibers. The real reason brands use synthetics is to lower their costs.
I love the idea of wearing wool, and as a New Zealander we produce wonderful merino, but I’ve become so sensitive to wool since perimenopause i can’t stand even the finest merino next to my skin. And I’ve never been able to wear alpaca or mohair. Cotton or cotton synthetic blends are my choice, all cotton preferably of course 😊.

I don't know about Mohair, but Alpaca can definitely be used without any other fibers mixed in. I have two pieces that are 100% Alpaca, they don't lose their shape at all. The only downside to pure Alpaca is that it is very expensive.
Did you try logging on for the 2nd drop they had for the US customers? Think it was 8am or 9am. That helped me get some of the pieces I missed on the 1st drop.
I logged in again in the morning as soon as I woke up (which is not that early 😂), but the same stuff was unavailable/in a another basket. They did this during the archives in June (a second drop at 8am), which was really nice and I scored a lot of pieces. I didn’t realize they did that again on Sunday or that this would be an ongoing thing 🤔 that’s great! We can sleep through the night from now on? 😂 Thank you for letting me know!!

Yes, I also think Sezane could do their knitwear only in natural fibers, like 100% wool, Alpaca, Cachemira. But they almost always include polyamide in the composition unfortunetely.
I got the garnet Betty as well. Mine was the same size as my navy/ecru striped one. However, my sage Betty is slightly smaller, like how you mentioned here. Idk why but i am thinking it is just mine. I still love it though. I do feel like the garnet color is too red for me. I was expecting it to have more of a raspberry color, similar to the Lyna knit. I havent decided yet if i am keeping. How does the Garnet betty look with black? I have a rosewood one, but its not fully my color (Im a very cool undertone). The garnet looks perfect, but wonder how it will look with my predominantly black - white - blue wardrobe.
I think it looks amazing! Probably one of the best colors with it, in my opinion. Yes the rosewood has a lot of brown in it, so if you have cool undertone, Garnet is probably a better choice. It looks beautiful with grey, black, white, some shades of pink..as for blue, if you’re bold and love colors, I think it would be lovely with navy or darker shade of blue! :)

I hope you love Damon!! I was SO curious to try the cropped Martin, I actually ordered them yesterday. What didn’t you like about it? Regular Martin was slightly loose on my waist (the size below was a bit tight on hips). They were also too long. Damon was perfect everywhere! The Betty in garnet is stunning, I think this color would look great on most skin tones. It doesn’t feel too warm or cool, it is vibrant but a deeper tone. Do you wear mostly pastels? That’s my dream haha

I have some rosacea in my cheeks so it makes me nervous to wear red close to my face! However I do wonder if I could get away with that garnet color because it does have a drop of blue in it that takes it into a nice berry direction, if that makes sense.

Damon was on my wishlist for so long too, but most pants I tried from Sézane were not a great fit right away (because of my waist x hips ratio). I was SO happy when they fit AND looked flattering!! Yes you should definitely give it a try! :) I heard that the other colors are wonderful too and, if you’re in Florida, definitely get the lightweight ones ☺️
I always used to hear that French sizes are different from other European sizes, and that you should always size up. I made an order, and I'm between two sizes and took the bigger one. Every single piece was too big. I don't understand anymore where the rumour came from 😅
Haha that’s confusing right? I think it really depends on the brand! Most Sezane knits for example run large, I have to get XS sometimes and I’m a true S for tops/knits. The only items I normally size up are pants because I have 102cm hips. Sézane normally has a size recommendation next to the item, so you can follow that :) otherwise come to my channel and I probably have reviewed that already 🤣 or will review in the near future! I wonder why, my Basile and Betty don't look as satureted and deep 😢 they are still pretty, but I hoped for a deeper red. By the way, do you experience the Basile as itchy? I got the Basil and Otis, and they are quite itchy to me , and was wondering which fabric am I sensetive to/am I over sensetive?
The next size would be giant on my waist and I really don’t want to tailor it. The size I got feels very comfortable and I’m sure once it’s worn a couple of times, it will loosen up like other wool pants.
I though it was only me seeing that ;) - yes those pants seep a little too small. All other items look great on you, including the set (skirt plus sweater) - so I would not hesitate to keep it! Actually seeing the skirt from the set and the trousers, it seems to me that skirt is flattering your silhouette more. I am also struggling with Sezane trousers, also having larger hips - its soooo rare to get something that fits well…
That’s a great question - I should have added that to the video! I just compared Sorena and Naella (both in size M) and they have exactly the same measurements (waist, hips and length)!
Mila. the pants look a little tight. They look like the pockets are pulling and a little bit across the front. While I love lined pants, normally wool would stretch some and these pants would fit better after a couple of wears. But with a lining, these won't stretch to fit much. I have to say, the colors are gorgeous.
Thank you Susan! I might try the next size. They felt so good when I put on I didn’t even think about it. They closed easily and I can sit down without feeling restrained. I thought it would stretch a bit as I wear but maybe it’s best to go a size up. I feel with lining it might look too bulky, so having second thoughts on the Damon in wool. Maybe I’ll just get the other ones (white/black)
Re Betty, I’m with you. Each time I thought I found my most favourite colour….then here we go….they brought out a new colour that replaces my favourite 😅😂! I’m thinking to get the new Garnet but I really shouldn’t as I already have them in 5 different colours 😅

It’s not écru but definitely beige/yellow… the website made it look like a bright ecru ! Mila you are such an influencer!! 😍 I received the gray Damon pants yesterday and they are the PERFECT just above the floor length on 5' 1" me. Wore them to work today and got so many compliments! I may become a Damon addict too. Then I received the garnet Betty today, which I ordered even though I commented on this video that I didn't think I could wear that color. Well it's amazing! It's like a glass of red wine, love it! 🍷 I wonder what will tempt me on Sunday... but I really have to stop for awhile! 😂
You look fantastic in burgundy - and it’s such a difficult color for many people, including me. The only burgundy item I will be buying soon are upcoming Paula babies - so keeping the burgundy as far from my face as possible 😂.

♥️ the colors are beautiful! Berry definitely looks more saturated than Basile. The part I speak shows brighter than it is in real life, but it really depends on the lighting. In general it looks more like the vertical videos where I’m styling the clothes! I’m glad it was helpful ☺️
I really enjoy your videos. They r very relaxing. Both sweaters are beautiful. I have been eyeing the basile sweater but I can’t stand any itch and for that price point it should be perfect. Betty is beautiful color but it’s almost too structured and cropped. If only it was a bit more affordable. I have a 3 year old so there are messes all the time. It would have to be something special to wear it.

I saw a few photos on Instagram/ Facebook groups and it looks identical to the website. The length won’t be good for me so I’ll probably not order, but if I see in store I’ll definitely try on and share! It’s a bit long and it will hit me at the largest area of my hips. The material everyone said looks and feels great

I also completed my collection with Sage, Ecru/navy stripes, and Rosewood Betty (all at once!) few weeks ago. Now I own 5 like you 😂 Hope they will not realease other attractive colors as I feel it would be too much for me… They released new Cole jacket which has slightly similiar vibe to Betty, but more long and relaxed fit like Will jacket. What do you think about this jacket? It seems like a versatile piece as well. Oh, and the video focusing on styling Betty is an amazing idea that I think many would find useful.
I have the same waist and hip measurements as you! I may need to try those Damon trousers. I have not had any luck with Sezane pants so far. This gives me hope.
😂 I feel your pain! I’m not lucky with their pants either, basically only Loulou trousers, Matthew, Dan and Chuck. Damon was a good surprise, if we have similar measurements you should definitely try it! Some people commented here saying they look right on me, I feel very comfortable in them but might try size 6 for a looser fit. Just letting you know as I don’t know what your preference is! :)

I have them in black and ecru. I highly recommend you try them in other fabric to see how they fit. The sizing is very tricky. The navy one seems run small, but black and white ones are true to size, but you've never known how they fit until you try both sizes.

How does the Garnet betty look with black? I have a rosewood one, but its not fully my color (Im a very cool undertone). The garnet looks perfect, but wonder how it will look with my predominantly black - white - blue wardrobe.
I think it looks amazing! Probably one of the best colors with it, in my opinion. Yes the rosewood has a lot of brown in it, so if you have cool undertone, Garnet is probably a better choice. It looks beautiful with grey, black, white, some shades of pink..as for blue, if you’re bold and love colors, I think it would be lovely with navy or darker shade of blue! :)

I hope you love Damon!! I was SO curious to try the cropped Martin, I actually ordered them yesterday. What didn’t you like about it? Regular Martin was slightly loose on my waist (the size below was a bit tight on hips). They were also too long. Damon was perfect everywhere! The Betty in garnet is stunning, I think this color would look great on most skin tones. It doesn’t feel too warm or cool, it is vibrant but a deeper tone. Do you wear mostly pastels? That’s my dream haha
@@milainnewyork the Martin I tried was a bit too clingy on me and showed panty line, wasn't flattering 😬 So I ordered a couple sizes in the gray Damon and we'll see if the 100% wool looks better.
I have some rosacea in my cheeks so it makes me nervous to wear red close to my face! However I do wonder if I could get away with that garnet color because it does have a drop of blue in it that takes it into a nice berry direction, if that makes sense.

Damon was on my wishlist for so long too, but most pants I tried from Sézane were not a great fit right away (because of my waist x hips ratio). I was SO happy when they fit AND looked flattering!!

I always used to hear that French sizes are different from other European sizes, and that you should always size up. I made an order, and I'm between two sizes and took the bigger one. Every single piece was too big. I don't understand anymore where the rumour came from 😅
Haha that’s confusing right? I think it really depends on the brand! Most Sezane knits for example run large, I have to get XS sometimes and I’m a true S for tops/knits. The only items I normally size up are pants because I have 102cm hips. Sézane normally has a size recommendation next to the item, so you can follow that :) otherwise come to my channel and I probably have reviewed that already 🤣 or will review in the near future! Oh right! I forgot you were in the US too. I’m so excited to get my package and every day I look at the website trying the figure out what else I want to order, it’s so hard to decide. I want to go to the pop up in Boston but I haven’t made it there yet. I’m not sure how much stock they have there but I figured I would be able to try some things on that I have been curious about since sizing is a bit of a guess each time if I’m ordering something new. I wonder why, my Basile and Betty don't look as satureted and deep 😢 they are still pretty, but I hoped for a deeper red.

I think the Damon pants are too small for you. It's showing across your hips. Perhaps a size up would do better. Other pieces look great!
The next size would be giant on my waist and I really don’t want to tailor it. The size I got feels very comfortable and I’m sure once it’s worn a couple of times, it will loosen up like other wool pants.
@@milainnewyork unfortunately, when a garment has a lining, the Top wool layer wont streach. 🙂

I have Fiorentino pants in wool and kind of loosen after a couple of wears she is right
I though it was only me seeing that ;) - yes those pants seep a little too small. All other items look great on you, including the set (skirt plus sweater) - so I would not hesitate to keep it! Actually seeing the skirt from the set and the trousers, it seems to me that skirt is flattering your silhouette more. I am also struggling with Sezane trousers, also having larger hips - its soooo rare to get something that fits well…
Could you compare the length of the Naella skirt with the Sorena skirt? Are they the same length?
That’s a great question - I should have added that to the video! I just compared Sorena and Naella (both in size M) and they have exactly the same measurements (waist, hips and length)!
Mila. the pants look a little tight. They look like the pockets are pulling and a little bit across the front. While I love lined pants, normally wool would stretch some and these pants would fit better after a couple of wears. But with a lining, these won't stretch to fit much. I have to say, the colors are gorgeous.
Thank you Susan! I might try the next size. They felt so good when I put on I didn’t even think about it. They closed easily and I can sit down without feeling restrained. I thought it would stretch a bit as I wear but maybe it’s best to go a size up. I feel with lining it might look too bulky, so having second thoughts on the Damon in wool. Maybe I’ll just get the other ones (white/black)
Re Betty, I’m with you. Each time I thought I found my most favourite colour….then here we go….they brought out a new colour that replaces my favourite 😅😂! I’m thinking to get the new Garnet but I really shouldn’t as I already have them in 5 different colours 😅

I just received my package ! I loved the red Betty as much as you did 😍 however I managed to get the YUMI blouse and… I’m disappointed! It’s not écru but definitely beige/yellow… the website made it look like a bright ecru ! And if you have chest like I do, it’s not flattering as all because it is very straight and doesn’t move with the body. That’s too bad ☹️ Love your video ! 😘

You look fantastic in burgundy - and it’s such a difficult color for many people, including me. The only burgundy item I will be buying soon are upcoming Paula babies - so keeping the burgundy as far from my face as possible 😂.
Omg thank you for posting this. I was specifically interested in seeing how the garnet color looked on the Basile and Betty cardigan and you never know how some colors look like irl when it comes to sezanes stylized photos. So helpful seriously.
♥️ the colors are beautiful! Berry definitely looks more saturated than Basile. The part I speak shows brighter than it is in real life, but it really depends on the lighting. In general it looks more like the vertical videos where I’m styling the clothes! I’m glad it was helpful ☺️
I really enjoy your videos. They r very relaxing. Both sweaters are beautiful. I have been eyeing the basile sweater but I can’t stand any itch and for that price point it should be perfect. Betty is beautiful color but it’s almost too structured and cropped. If only it was a bit more affordable. I have a 3 year old so there are messes all the time. It would have to be something special to wear it.

I saw a few photos on Instagram/ Facebook groups and it looks identical to the website. The length won’t be good for me so I’ll probably not order, but if I see in store I’ll definitely try on and share! It’s a bit long and it will hit me at the largest area of my hips. The material everyone said looks and feels great

They released new Cole jacket which has slightly similiar vibe to Betty, but more long and relaxed fit like Will jacket. What do you think about this jacket? It seems like a versatile piece as well.
Oh, and the video focusing on styling Betty is an amazing idea that I think many would find useful.
I have the same waist and hip measurements as you! I may need to try those Damon trousers. I have not had any luck with Sezane pants so far. This gives me hope.
😂 I feel your pain! I’m not lucky with their pants either, basically only Loulou trousers, Matthew, Dan and Chuck. Damon was a good surprise, if we have similar measurements you should definitely try it! Some people commented here saying they look right on me, I feel very comfortable in them but might try size 6 for a looser fit. Just letting you know as I don’t know what your preference is! :)

I have them in black and ecru. I highly recommend you try them in other fabric to see how they fit. The sizing is very tricky. The navy one seems run small, but black and white ones are true to size, but you've never known how they fit until you try both sizes.
I love the new garnet color! It's so beautiful. I have the Achille in black and it's one of my favorites, so I might be tempted by the Basile. I am absolutely buying the Betty in the new color.
