I wear mostly silk and launder it all on the gentle cycle, hang dry woven silk, flat dry silk knits. It rarely needs washing anyway, assuming the wearer is in the vast majority of us who shower and use deodorant every day, unless one gets a spot. (I do launder my silk undies and socks after each wear, of course). But, I don’t have children around, or even a pet at the moment and don’t cook or do heavy cleaning. For my retired lifestyle it’s fine and it suits my hypersensitive skin far better than anything else. Once I started wearing silk, there was no going back - no more skin rashes or itching🙂
I returned my Naella skirt, didn't love the look on me but it's AMAZING on you!! I personally looove the when they spray the clothes , I even bought the perfume so I can spray on myself!! lol I think not everyone would appreciate that though, so it's great that you're sharing that with us! Great video, as always!!
Have you tried the Naelle yet? I know you have quite the Sezane collection! Oh gosh yes highlights how personal fragrance is - personally I wish they didn’t do it but find it I air the item out it’s fine 🫣 but so many other Sezanettes are like you and adore it! 🥰
@@mademoisellejaime haha I know right? The perfume is either love of hate 🙊 I feel it goes away quickly too if we let the clothes get some air! I do have Naelle in navy and cream, but I confess I don’t wear them as much as I should. I wear the matching sweater a lot but usually with pants. Will definitely try to get them out of the house more often this fall/winter!! 😊 have a lovely week, Jamie xx
It find it’s always best to hand wash your Sezane Knits and silks in cold water, very gently, rinse then pop on a towel and roll up and squeeze the excess water out and dry them flat. The Gaspard especially holds a lot of water and if line dried the arms can stretch out and it can get a slightly matted appearance if machine washed. The silks only take a few hours to dry or overnight depending on the item. I find it’s best to put the effort into to hand washing to keep them in tip top condition as they are very expensive. You don’t have to wash them that much anyway and a good steam in between wears keeps them fresh. Also it’s good to wear a slip under the Naelle skirt to stop it clinging where you don’t want it to. It is a gorgeous piece. I bought the Naelle and Sami secondhand in Navy and they look amazing on. I am a busty UK size 16-18 and the XXL fits perfectly on me. 😊
Thank you so much for sharing, this is fantastic info! I use the wool wash setting on my machine which perhaps is still just a bit too much for the polyamide blended knitwear from Sezane (I haven't had issues with the natural fibre pieces). So will try this out instead! xx
I love Sezane, but it’s tough on my wardrobe budget. I just got their beautiful taupe suede skirt, it’s worth it! I loved the matching cropped vest top, too, but I didn’t think I would get enough wear out of it, my 63-year arms are so wrinkled. Of course, I could wear it as a vest with a top underneath it, but I know I would overheat, vests overheat my post-menopausal core within a minute. The two piece set is around $500 US. It’s beautiful, but has an unpleasant goat smell, I’m airing it in another room (it’s goat leather). I will treat it with a protective spray, but these tend to reactivate the leather smell for a while. I try not to get carried away at Sezane, but I love so many of their more tailored pieces and their always top quality.
I find it so hard to resist when their A/W collections come out as the designs are always absolutely stunning. Found myself placing another order just this weekend been, and had to stop myself from going overboard!
I’m so glad that’s helpful! I find it’s more common at the start of the season - as when I shop more mid season most items I get don’t tend to be perfumed x
The Naelle (long version)/Naella (short version) skirts and the Sami jumper come in a color called Natural, they don’t match Sezane’s other pieces in ecru exactly. I got the Naelle and the Sami, they’re beautiful, but I really prefer more open-neck sweaters and Sezane is very thin on these, I couldn’t find one in Natural. Still, the Naelle/Sami set will be a great outfit for me with either a collared silk shirt or silk long-sleeved tee under it in winter. The cotton content will keep it a bit cooler, I hope. I wasn’t fast enough to get the Naelle in navy, so I just ordered a similar wool one from Quince and a matching “polo” neck (V-neck with collar) cashmere jumper, my favorite style. I love matching skirt sets so much, the pieces can be worn so many different ways, including as a “dress”. I’m not a fan of Sezane’s warm, bright color palette for autumn, but there are plenty of neutrals, too. Thanks so much, I love your focus on natural materials and high quality. It’s very much my way, too❤
Oooh that navy set from Quince does sound lovely though! Ah and you're right - I think I referenced it as ecru when it's really "natural". The colour on the site comes off looking different on my monitor than how it appears in person, still very pretty though. And like you, I wish I'd managed to snag the navy set - it looked like a really nice version of navy (as you might agree, they're not all created equal!) x
Hello dear, I do love the tan colour of your Milo and I am considering buying a Claude in the same leather camel colour. My fear is about rain, do you think it would damage in case it was raining? Thank you very much if you can reply and give me an advice.
You know, I never got my Milo wet so it's hard for me to say. I would definitely put a protectant on it just to be on the safe side. The embossed leather is much more durable/doesn't matter if it gets wet x
I’m keeping the Rym shirt and Betty in garnet. I brought a tomboy -too big, Chlo lace - that was too lacy. And a pair of loafers that are too big. You made some great picks!
I love the style of Sézane! 🤩 I have recently bought the Sami sweater and the Naelle skirt in ecru and sized up both of them. The sweater because I prefer a slightly oversized fit and the skirt because it ran a bit small. I liked the Naella skirt on you but it is too short for my liking. 😊
Thank you for reviewing the Noé! There isn’t much out there. I’m thinking of getting this 🖤 Would it warm enough or too much to wear under a thin cashmere sweater? It seems this has an oversize fit which I like. I recently got the Tobias jumper. It was lovely but it felt to scratchy and itchy for me, sadly. It feels warm though and cozy.
So sorry for the delayed response on my end. So, it's incredibly warm! It really depends on your climate as here in Sydney we have mild winters and I would personally wear this in place of a transitional season jacket like a trench coat for example And that is the worst when that happens! I've had this experience a few times - it's why I generally will avoid any of their knitwear pieces that aren't cotton/merino
Totally agree about the fragrance. I found it to be quite strong, almost nauseating. I had to air out my Betty cardigan for several days before I could wear it.
Thank you! On sizing, they have a standard size guide on their website and would always recommend checking your measurements against the sizing they recommend. My waist is around 66cm so a pretty standard size S/AU8/US4 if that helps x
Hi! Great looks! ❤ Do you also have a review on the longer cardigan you show in the beginning and compare with the black bomber? The navy blue one, I believe it’s the Cole?
Hi! That one is called the Noely. I couldn’t find it on the site so imagine at least for now it’s in hibernation as Sezane tend to re release styles. I haven’t done a review on that one but in terms of quality etc it is EXACTLY the same, just longer with a different sleeve style. It’s very very very heavy too
I am just very curious how people get gifts from Sezane? Is it based on the amount of orders or do they only gift to influncers for the sake of videos?
Sorry this is such a late response! So yes occasionally some people get gifts as part of their orders (this is generally when there is a promotion on, and is a smaller item - maybe a makeup pouch, a printed tote bag, or when they launched makeup, a beauty item. The bags were sent to a number of influencers/creators to promote the launch of this new style. I don't know if they've done this kind of promo before, but reminded me a little of the Dior campaign for their bobby bag. I was under no obligation to post however, and wasn't paid/compensated to share it. I hope that helps to clarify?
I really hate the perfume Sezane sprays on their clothes. I have to steam them inside and outside, air them out in front of a fan, spray them with my own fragrance, then steam and air them again. It’s a major hassle. I don’t dislike all fragrances, but the one they use is horrible, old-ladyish. I would really prefer unscented clothes, not everyone likes every fragrance.

Personally am very much looking forward to the day I can freely wear all my silk pieces again without worrying about grubby fingers haha! xx

Great review, haven't yet purchased anything from Sezane but it sure does look tempting. Really appreciate the detail you go into for each piece.
Thank you so much for the feedback - I'm glad to hear that's helpful! x
I will obsess over the Nicia dress and can’t wait to get it, xo
Isn’t it gorgeous?! I feel like a 60s darling in it haha!
Everything looks great on you
Too kind thank you!
Hi! Just loved the Noe Jacket, I might give it a try. All pieces look great on you. Loved the video. Just subscribed.
Thank you!! 😊 Hope you're having a beautiful week!

I’ve been having some luck with Poshmark, picked up some pieces there
You look great in those matching knits! And everything else 😊

Thank you for mentioning perfume! This affects if I want pieces from them.. I have the Claude bag on my wishlist.
