    It would be nice if more youtube fitness channels were this entertaining and had
    legit information

    • @Hisoka107
      @Hisoka107 9 років тому +1

      +Matt Kurtzhals many of those popular youtube channels over promise and under deliver. People with solid advice and background like Markbell and Layne Norton have less subs and views than they should be.

    • @Hisoka107
      @Hisoka107 9 років тому

      +will hedgepeth you breezed past what I said and invented your own story.this has nothing to do with attention span either. I was also making a reference towards all tbe people who are missing out on this info when they believe what those larger channels try to offer. if you believe that only two channels will suffice to fill your training knowledge then your knowledge will be limited.

    • @Hisoka107
      @Hisoka107 9 років тому

      +will hedgepeth my bad for that. my gmail notifies me that I have a response to my social media. I should have checked it out before responding. I don't know why they notify when its not directly addressed. shit sinks l, so lets hope that all those higher channels that are purposely misleading people for money sink as well. the like mark, Layne, juggernaught and louie Simmons will still be around.

    It's surprising how uncoordinated some these guys were with different exercises. Some of them gave the appearance that they had never touched a weight before. Not because of how much they were lifting, just the way they were moving. I would have thought that by college, all football players would have been involved in routine strength training for years, and be very familiar with the movement patterns for the most popular exercises. It makes me wonder what the hell their high school and college coaches have been doing.

    Hey Mark,
    I'm new to powerlifting, I'm not a new to lifting heavy but to the sport. I have set out to do a competition this year. I've been watch many of your videos to refine my three lifts. In this video you mentioned using a belt, I've used them in my past but every since I started doing more powerlifting based workouts I've some what shunned using them. So my question is should I start implementing it?

    as much as i like Mark Bell i dont agree in his "advice" for those guys on how to train for bench (not to go heavy...only for fun etc). He doesn't consider facts of functional strength. the 1rm of the Main lifts correlate direkt to general strenght in explosive sports like football. as the 1rm of the squat correlates straight to the distance of standing forward jump, i am sure so does the 1rm bench give benefit to other movements in football.

    • @hyunjoonwee8528
      @hyunjoonwee8528 9 років тому +2

      What he meant is don't go all out all the time. He meant go heavy but not for the compromise of form and speed. If u think about it an explosive clean triple at 80% is more benificial than a grinding triple at 95% especially when explosive training is important for football. Basically he meant don't go so heavy that it fucks up ur other more important exercises or drills for football

    • @BobiEd779
      @BobiEd779 9 років тому +1

      +Hyunjoon Wee i agree with your comment and I apologize for my first post, misunderstanding marks statement on that point. After watching it again i got it. actually he is just saying (in other words) that maxing out to 100% ist not important to fb athletes other than it is for powerlifters (they will still gainz max strength). nevertheless this video is less about periodization as more about form and proper technique. marks form on bench is exceptional. I try to copy as much as i can.

    • @Sal_McCoy
      @Sal_McCoy 9 років тому +1

      +BobiEd779 The problem is that most people see the 1RM and competition videos and get the idea that powerlifters only lift heavy. Mark is just reminding us that most training consists of moderate weights (70% - 85%).
