      Steph - do you know the second verse? :
      I can hear the tinkling waterfall
      Far among the hills
      Bluebirds sing each so merrily
      To his mate in rapture trills
      They seem to say "Your June is lonesome too"
      Longing fills her eyes
      She is waiting for you patiently
      Where the pine tree sighs
      In the...............

    • @gunterangel
      @gunterangel Рік тому

      Only the first "serious" half of the song, when he's singing in duet with Ollie, that's actually Stan's voice.
      And that singing was really done live and on set without any pre-recording !
      When Stan suddenly switches into the bass register, he is only mimicking while the singing is actually provided by Chill Wills, who also can be heard and seen in the dance scene, where he is doing the yodeling during the number with the Avalon Boys.
      When Stan switches in the soprano register, that's actually Rosina Lawrence singing, who played Mary Roberts, the good girl and heiress of the mine in the movie.

    The comedy kings at work this time singing there was no end to their talents.
    Theres only one Laurel and Hardy I can watch them over and over again they never fail to make me laugh.
