I wonder how many of us have long played a guessing game with which thread color you would choose. It makes me smile every time i make the same choice early in the "game". Thank you for another great tutorial.
Thank you so much for all of the tutorials that you do. You are an excellent teacher. Have you ever tried a convergence quilt? No one seems to give instruction as well as you do. I would love to see you teach this particular technique. Thanks again..
Donna, the colos in these fabrics are so beautiful. Thank you for another video, we miss you so much, you have spoiled us over the years with a tutorial a week.
Definitely believe Donna is best teacher on UA-cam! Also their fabrics are tops in quality. Their mail service is very good. I am definitely a number one fan of Donna and Jordan Fabric.
Thank you for keeping the long arm in the video. Typically that part gets cut - so this is the first time I’ve ever seen an automated long arm in action. Thank you for all the great videos and content:)
Donna, I have been away for awhile, but you have not come up on my feed for years (at least 3)I was so happy to wake up this morning to have you there! You are a true professional! Thank you for all that you have done for the art of quilting and us amateur wanting to become professional as yourself. (That will never happen! ) I do notice that you include many skills that I used as an upholstery seamstress (10 years). I find these skills very helpful in my quilting, enjoy your day and Happy Holudays!
Once again, you show that batiks , while eclectic in their design, can come together easily, and make a soothing quilt to look at. I love the accent color that you chose. 😍
Visualizing a finished product is not my strong suit, so at first, I thought the fabric choices were horrible. But the finished quilt is actually gorgeous, and even the accent you chose turned out to be spot on. 😂 I'm so glad I always watch all the way to the finished quilt. ❤
Wonderful work. I love watching you work. My favorite part is watching the long arm stitch. I go in a local shop to quilt my own quilts which I love to do. But the owner laughs when I go in just to watch the long arm do it’s thing by itself. 🤣🤣🤣
Love the Pop Up pattern. I think it would be perfect in Christmas colors. Matt has such a great eye for matching colors. Love the give away quilt too. Have a great day. I live "over" the mountain (south) from you & hope to one day be able to come & shop at your store & meet you in person. Thanks for always sharing your quilt videos. I was the lucky winner of one of your amazing quilts about 12 yrs ago.
I started watching your channel when I inherited three hand-sewn quilts my great grandmother made. She passed in 1946, so these quilts are probably around 100 years old and in need of repair. But watching your videos has gotten me interested in making my own! Thanks much for the inspiration!
I love watching all of the tutorials, and when it comes time to choose the thread color for the long arm, I root for a particular color. Yes, I AM odd. ;)
Great quilt. I didn’t like the big contrast on the pattern-too stark. But i wasn’t sure on the accent you choose, shouldn’t have doubted you. You are the master.
This is one of my favorite patterns. You have given me the knowledge I needed to try it! Thank you, Donna! I was surprised to see you back on tonight! You made my evening!
I never would have chosen the blue accent fabric but I love how it turned out. The backing fabric brings in the blue from the front. I learn so much from you. Thank you.
The moment you touched the bolt of the blue accent color it was my choice 💙 💙 💙 . The design style is right up my alley. 🎉🎉🎉. Thanks, Donna, for your dedication to quilters everywhere and me in New Mexico. 🎶💐💖
I was doubtful when you picked the accent color, but once the quilt was completed, my doubts were gone! I really like it! Thanks for consistantly great content!
I’m always learning from your thought process as you choose fabrics and choose colors of threads for the quilting.. Thank you so much for sharing that.
Good job showing off all the fabrics in this bundle. Sometimes you go a little fast and we don't get to see the fabrics until you layout the blocks or even when it's on the quilt frame. 💖🌞🌵😷
I love watching your videos. I have made the jewel box quilt. I'm working on the rolling stones and churndash for my grandkids and will be doing the scrappy lattice next. I'm so excited about the scrappy lattice because I have 3 totes full of scraps.
Wow, I would never have chosen this pattern based on the pattern cover. Your chouce of colors and layout made a stunning quilt. Donna, you are amazing! Thank you.
I watch a ton of youtube quilting videos but yours are by FAR my favorite!!! You do beautiful work!! Thank you for sharing your talent!!! Also your camera person does a fantastic job...how you show what you're doing is so helpful.
The quilt turned out wonderful! When you were going through your accent fabric selection, I was leaning toward the darker options for a sharp contrast, but I really love the softness of your final choice. Thanks for the tutorial
I'm new to your tutorials. You explain instructions better than any tutorials I've seen. I'm not sure when your tutorials are new. I am enjoying every tutorials I have watched. Bi am trying to catch up
Thank you for a great tutorial. I have been looking for a pattern for my grandson and I think this might be a contender and quick too! Thank you for your giveaways. That quilt is gorgeous. Log cabins are my favorite pattern and the first quilt pattern I made.
Donna, thank you for this video. I love watching your tutorials your work is always so neat. It took me a few quilts to "learn" that I had to be consistent with seams. Mine never look totally as neat as yours but they are much better than my first quilts.
Your videos are always a treat. I often go back and rewatch them when I need inspiration. I particularly appreciate it when you talk about why you made certain fabric choices, like you did in this video. It has helped me understand how to better select quilt fabric colors that will work together for a pleasing finish.
I watched this video today, eight months after it came out, and realized I watched earlier and actually bought the pattern at that time. LOL. Great discovery! I was recovering from surgery at the time, but I pulled the PDF pattern, and I now have the time and energy to make it. I'm so glad this came up as an option on my UA-cam feed. Thank you for the great tutorials you make.
Beautiful colourway for this quilt Donna Thank you for another great tutorial, and for the chance at the free quilt which is also in a great colour scheme x
I like the particular layout you used, Donna--the *broken windows upward left to right* is in very good taste: it brings a sense of *calm and aspiration* to the elements of the quilt's composition. Very *uplifting.* (Seriously, a great quilt to give to a person suffering anxiety and depression.) I'm going to make this for my local *Domestic Abuse Shelter,* throw size (to be hung on one of the walls).
I love Matts log cabin kits. I am currently making a quilt for my husband. My goal is to get one of these log cabin quilt kits of yours very soon. Thank you for this tutorial. I think everyone should be making their quilts along with your videos. So motivational to work to completion.
I made one very similar quilt for my grandson but had a different name. I used red, black and gray grunge and then black and white and gray and white prints. The red and black made it a very striking quilt.
Love all your tutorials, but I wish you had showed us several more layouts, including the one on the cover of the pattern. I was very doubtful of the color match of your accent. And yet I liked it a lot in the finished quilt. I hope to learn more and more from you, especially about color matching. Not sure if you have done an episode on deciding what you are going to use on the borders, but I would like to see that for a couple of quilts. Thank you for sharing! Bobbi
I so agree. There are many tutors out there, but I find that your style of teaching and how you provide suggestions for flawless finishing is very easy to follow.
I love all your tutorials. They make me want to try every pattern I see. You’re such a down to earth person. To meet you one day is on my bucket list. ❤
I wasn’t sure I’d like the accent color you chose, but it turned out absolutely beautifully ❤ I love the layout you chose as well. Another gorgeous quilt. Thank you for the tutorial.
What a beautiful quilt and a great giveaway! I have seen that quilt pattern before, or something very similar. I'd LOVe to see it with some Asian focus prints, maybe with some Japanese Motifs and perhaps some Geishas! The dark framing the way you did this really reminds me of Japanese architecture! It may just end up on my list of quilts I want to make! The fact that this one is such a quickie makes this pattern even more desirable! Thanks for the video!
When you chose your accent color I wasn't sure I liked it but wow! I love how it looks! What do I know 😂
😂 Same here, Linda! ❤
Another tutorial within a short space of time! I’m so happy. Thanks Donna. You are the best quilt teacher on UA-cam !!
Totally agree
Agreed! 💖
Absolutely 👍
Yes! When I have a new or novice quilter ask for instruction, I always recommend Donna's tutorials!
🙌
Your color choice and pattern is far more eye-pleasing than the original.
Love your softer accent color. You are a marvelous teacher and cheerleader for quilters everywhere.
when you were selecting the "dark" fabric i didn't like it at all... but it sure worked! very pretty and subtle
I wasn't keen on the cover picture but I love your finished quilt -- It's your choice of fabrics that makes the difference.
Donna, the colos in these fabrics are so beautiful. Thank you for another video, we miss you so much, you have spoiled us over the years with a tutorial a week.
Did something happen to her?
I loved the longer time watching the quilting machine do it’s magic!
Definitely believe Donna is best teacher on UA-cam! Also their fabrics are tops in quality. Their mail service is very good. I am definitely a number one fan of Donna and Jordan Fabric.
Donna, you are spoiling us with tutorials, one right after another!
I wasn’t sure I liked this pattern. But then Donna made the quilt and now I do. Beautiful!
Thank you for keeping the long arm in the video. Typically that part gets cut - so this is the first time I’ve ever seen an automated long arm in action. Thank you for all the great videos and content:)

I love your tutorials! Now I just need the space you have. Seriously, God bless you!
I wasn’t Sue I liked your lighter blue fabric in the blocks but when you got it finished it turned out beautiful.
You have such good ‘vision’ when it comes to color, patterns and fabric.💕
I wish I could take her to the fabric store with me!
Beautiful quilt. Thanks for all your tutorials. Thanks also for your happy, smiling face. Your happiness shines through!
When you showed the colors in the beginning, I didn’t like that bluish gray, but it looks beautiful in the finished quilt, thank you
WOW! Your really popping out the videos now! I love it!!
Once again, you show that batiks , while eclectic in their design, can come together easily, and make a soothing quilt to look at. I love the accent color that you chose. 😍

I know, right? It’s just so mesmorizing.
I love seeing you more often! This is such a pretty, soft colored quilt. Very tranquil. Thanks for another wonderful tutorial!
I wasn’t sure about the blue accent, but it totally works. Love it
Wow Donna! I really couldn’t see the blue, but it looks great! I need someone like you to pick out colors! ❤️
Love the Pop Up pattern. I think it would be perfect in Christmas colors. Matt has such a great eye for matching colors. Love the give away quilt too. Have a great day. Thank you Donna for showing us how much fun quilting can be and for being an excellent teacher!
So thrilled with the quilt!! Absolutely gorgeous!!! Keep the videos coming!!!
I really like this spot, in your color choices. I would never have selected it if the pattern photo. Isn't that interesting?!
I love watching all of the tutorials, and when it comes time to choose the thread color for the long arm, I root for a particular color. Yes, I AM odd. ;)
So happy to see you back
Great quilt. I didn’t like the big contrast on the pattern-too stark. But i wasn’t sure on the accent you choose, shouldn’t have doubted you. You are the master.

The soft colors you chose are so beautiful and calming.
I haven’t watched your videos in so long, it seems.
I really missed it. I’m going to have to go back and watch the ones I missed.❤ ❤❤❤❤
I wasn’t sure about the choice of accent color. But that blue works! Great tutorial. Thanks.
The moment you touched the bolt of the blue accent color it was my choice
💙 💙 💙 . The design style is right up my alley. 🎉🎉🎉. Thanks, Donna, for your dedication to quilters everywhere and me in New Mexico. 🎶💐💖
Thank you for such a great tutorial. I had seen that pattern but was intimidated - now I'm not thanks to you!! Have a blessed weekend!
I was doubtful when you picked the accent color, but once the quilt was completed, my doubts were gone! I really like it! Thanks for consistantly great content!
Matt’s log cabin kits sew up perfectly!
So glad you mentioned that the pattern has cutting layout for directional fabrics.
I’m always learning from your thought process as you choose fabrics and choose colors of threads for the quilting.. Thank you so much for sharing that.

Thanks Donna, the quilt is pretty. I could set and watch the long arm run all day but it would probably put me to sleep... Lol
The quilt turned out wonderful! When you were going through your accent fabric selection, I was leaning toward the darker options for a sharp contrast, but I really love the softness of your final choice. Thanks for the tutorial
So happy to see another video. Thank you so much. I really like this.
The kaleidoscope pattern is one of my faves. Would you consider making it again in non holiday fabric?
A very pretty quilt, I can see that on my sofa! Thank you for sharing your inspiration. 💐

Beautiful! And so easy. Thanks for all you do to encourage quilters everywhere.
That is absolutely beautiful! Love the color choices. Thanks for taking us through the process of picking the accent color, was very educational.

Stunning! I tend to use more bold and colourful fabrics as a rule, but I am blown away by the subtlety and charm of this quilt.
Love the colours in this quilt, would be perfect for my house. I learn so much from you Donna, thank you for the tutorial!
Thank you again for a great tutorial. I can picture this in so many colorways already, it will certainly go to the top of my "to do" list.

Another great video! This would be a nice one to have Matt precut for us
I think this is my favorite quilt that you've done for a tutorial. Beautiful!
I’m so happy for regular videos!! Love what you do 🥰
Your tutorials are my favorite to watch! Great choice on the accent fabric.
What a great , quick quilt. Thank you for all your tutorials....so easy to follow.
Your colour choice makes the quilt look beautiful, it would catch my eye much faster than the strong colour on the pattern
Watch you almost every day…. Keep up great work
