I just picked up my black 16 GTCS and the review is pretty spot on... especially it's ability to make you smile when romping on that 5.0!

No matter the Mustang, you have to mod it aftermarket (unless you're buying a GT350 for example) to bring the car around especially in the handling department. In order to stop the car from nosediving when it brakes or plowing in turns a GT or a GT/CS will still require being lowered (1-1/2 inch drop), the front and rear sway bars swapped out for larger ones, a strut tower brace (both front AND back) and a K member brace under the car. Furthermore, the stock tires- ANY stock tires on a Mustang are garbage for more than casual, pedestrian driving because they're all season tires. Releasing the Mustang's full potential and solving its general sloppiness requires at least Ultra High Performance Summer tires (this is beyond anything that a "track pack" would do as those almost never involve lowering the car nor that degree of bracing). These changes turn it into a entirely different vehicle- and make it truly world class. And that's just in the handling department- for power the cars need to be tuned by an aftermarket tuning company following at the VERY LEAST a Cold Air Intake kit and removal of the stock exhaust, replacing it with preferably an X pipe with at a minimum, high flow cats and pairing those with axle back mufflers of your choice. Depending on the engine choice you can add up to 75 horsepower just by doing this (generally the 4.6 was more power wringable than the 5.0 is)- my 2006 GT was bumped from 315 to 385 with these and a few other minor mods for 5 HP here and 10 HP there.
I'm getting 21.5 mpg in my 2015 GT with a manual trans, and that's not pussy footing it around.
I get 11 in stop and go congestion in a PP. Computer lies and says 14.1. I guess your results will vary lol...
+Charles Harper since mine is broken in, I'm getting 22.8 mpg but I don't live in an area that has alot of traffic.

You can't see the hood vents while you're driving and you call it a gimmick? Here's some advice: keep your eye's on the road in front of you and not on the hood. You can't see the wheels when you drive either right?..Are they a gimmick? Otherwise enjoyed your review.
+Glardok It's because the vents have light up turn signal indicators in them. They are a heritage item from the 1967-68 Mustangs, which you could see from behind the wheel. The point of the reviewer was that they created these to appeal to people who would appreciate the element from a historical perspective. The problem is, you can't see them from behind the wheel - therefore a gimmick. Boob bait for the bubbas.

probobly, but most of the time people drive during the day so you wont see them

Thanks for focusing on the CS package, it really helps determine what makes the CS special compared to the regular Mustang GT. These ARE future classics and they will be great investments. Also, as for Sync...Microsoft. All I have to say, i'm into IT/Networking and Microsoft is a joke. It made me cry when my favorite car company(because my favorite car is the both the Mustang and the old SHO lol) used my enemy in my field of study. Should've used Linux...

Got a 16 CS/GT in Magnetic, kind of metallic dark gray. You talk exhaust sound, got after market Hooker...sets alarms off. Even had a guy on a Harley pull up along side and complement the growl
I grew up around these cars. I'm 40 years old and currently driving a focus. I'm keeping my current loan as long as possible (to get rid of negative equity) so I can get a mustang gt. I'm just going for a base trim but man o man I can't wait

mike myers that depends on your budget. if you can afford the gt definetly go for it. the econoost is the way to go if the price/running cost of gt are to much. there is also insurance cost, maintanence, and tires arent cheap either

its nice car with the gtcs but it really needs the side scoops like my 68 gtcs 390 gt 4 speed,,the turn signal hood are a neat option but its missing center stripe and the damn SCOOPS!! to make it look even better!!!
Good job touching on the seats - hated them in my ST and hate them in the GT. Factory seats (believe it or not) are more comfortable. Also Sync3, yay, no longer want to drive myself into a wall every time I get into the car.
I have a 2016 gt and I love my hood vent turn signals it's a nice little detail and only 2016 year has them 👍

i like the stripes on the hood and the bottom of the door are better because it looks cleaner than in the middle of the car and i also like the offset tri stripe pony emblem, it gives it a meaner look to me

For sure I'll be seeing this pony Cali Edition more often here in LA. It would really stand out from it's segment (not including the Shelby, the Hellcat nor the Camaro Z/28, cause all those are in the next level).

Your wrong about the turn signals. I can see the driver side easily. And of course your not going to see the passenger side unless your Lurch with your head completely above the windshield. All these reviews are such jokes. If someone likes the car just test drive it yourself and make up your own mind!
+Luca Meschino The host could not see the driver side, that is why he said it. If you are less than 5 feet, 8-9" tall and/or your seat is adjusted to low the bow in the hood prevents you from seeing the light.

Funny as it sounds: I am going to buy a 2016 (vs. 2015, 2017+) BECAUSE of the lighted turn signal hood vents. I had a 1968 and the hood vents were one of my favorite little details.
If you're in traffic next to a soccer mom in a SUV she can see your turn signals...if you're driving why do you need to see the hood turn signals...

Stopped video at ignorant not thought out hood turn signals comment...I would not want to be in traffic with a idiot looking at the lights blinking on his hood instead of SAFELY driving the car.
I know its the heritage and everything but when he showed his 2004 or whatever mustang i almost vomited. Those were so fuckin hiddeous. Burping as i type this holding it down.
