Comp Orange are always faster.. lol .. I seen his when I was getting mines serviced.. nice looking car .. we should all link up one day and ride out somewhere.
Do you live in clarksville TN Bro? Nice shelby gt 350, I think I've seen that car around here. Also, I seen that 5.0 at jenkins and wynne... it's a nice car for certain!
When a dealership sells you a used car they have no idea of there's a tune on it, but when you take your car in for service they tell you in 5 minutes that the repair is not covered due to your having a tune.
Actually there's a United States federal law (15 U.S.C. § 2301 et seq.) called The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act (P.L. 93-637) which states that if your modification(s) are NOT the direct cause the problem, then your car will be covered under warranty. Problem is most people don't know about the Act so they get screwed over. Perfect example, I went in for warranty work on my 2016 GT when my heated/cooled seats quit working and had oil leaking from the oil pressure sensor. At the time I had a CAI, tune, and E85 so I did some research and found out about the above Act..... They did cover everything under my 3 yr./ 36k mile warranty
@@Laviathan50 you right but the further problem is footing the money for a lawyer up front when the dealer still wont do it.... That's very true and it was designed for that...for instance I run an Edelbrock supercharger on my gen 3 so. I went to Ford had out of pocket inspected even bore scope and got a paper trail literally the mileage to shop that that installed it so no finger pointing if my engine fails there between Edelbrock and Ford and same Edelbrock covers engine trans diff and axles but if the screen goes out there still Ford...you can imagine what kind of grief I'm gonna get pulling in there stage 2 800hp needing anything done but so far it seems I got a good one but I am prepared for a battle using exactly the moss act..... The fact a dealership would even try imho makes em scummy
my 2016 GT has 11,000km (6800 Miles) on it .. got it April of 2018 with 5200km (3200 Miles) ... love the car so much, when I purchased it the car had an airaid air intake, shorty headers, borla exhaust, and a tune with a paper from a dyno shop showing 498hp ... also has everything Shelby, shifter, steering wheel, emblems
By far the best designed muscle car ever made...I'm not a fan of the late 70's through all of the 80's, but other than that, it cannot be touched! Carol Shelby was a master and this design was his masterpiece....in my humble opinion.
I had a 1982 5.0 GT rated at around 200 HP and for that time period, that was "high performance", and it certainly was much better than the 1974-1978 V8 Mustang II models, which had pathetic HP ratings due to all the emission controls and gas mileage standards they had back then. When Ford started putting fuel injection in the 5.0 Mustangs around 1986, they gained about 30 to 40 in HP output.
I agree with you about Carroll Shelby being the master of performance design. Also, he and Lee Iacocca are probably turning over in their graves now when they hear about the new 2021 4-door electric SUV "Mustang" Ford is planning, which I think will be a big flop. I don't care if they produced a new 4-door electric SUV, just don't put the Mustang name on it.
Absolutely beautiful S550 performance pack. I’ve been looking hard for a 15-17 and it’s crazy how hard it is to find a well maintained cared for 5.0 where I live. He’s got a nice one! Congrats!!!

I bought it with 700 miles on the odometer originally back in July 2017. I went on many road trips and daily drove it. Was one of the funnest cars to drive and own!
BBMustang514 , I hear you these S550’s are ridiculous. I’ve seriously never loved a car so much and at one point I had a Z32 TT 300ZX. Which in its own right is a stupid fun car.
You don't understand? I've put about 4k miles on my truck in the past 5 years. Why? Because I don't just randomly cruise for no reason anymore. Got sick of being stopped. And I grew up. I'm not 23 anymore.
i just got a '16 GT premium about a month ago with 70k miles in oxford white. first thing i did was have a Roush cat-back installed. next upgrade will be the ford performance power pack 2. my first real sports car and i freekin love it. the exhaust is perfect. not too loud, but louder than stock.
I just purchased the exact same 2016 S550 (minus the decals) about a month ago with 30,000 miles on it, and I'm loving everything about it. I put eibach lowering springs and corsa exhaust on it, and I am super happy.

I bought a 2015 Mustang GT In May 2018 Its been over a year now and I completely agree with you. If you spend 25-30k on a used stang and add on a 5k-7k supercharger, that will leave the German cars in the rear view. The Mustang Is all about value for the buck I don't want to spend money on a BMW or a Mercedes, Just to say I have one, like most people today do. I just want my mustang, Its easy to maintain, fairly cheap, easy to mod, and the list goes on. Plus their built in the USA. And this is coming from a Canadian!
I just got my 14 Track Pack a month ago and it came with 19 inch SVE staggered wheels on Nitto 555s, MGW short throw shifter, Roush axelback, and Diode Dynamics side markers, all with 29k on the odometer. I'm glad it was tastefully modded.
Had a 2016 GT manual with some backfiring happening sometimes during shifting. It was bank 4 issue as it soon went into limp mode and I drove it to the Ford dealership lol. Long story short, I traded it in for a 21 GT, happy ever since lol. Beautiful car!
Really nice car! I love the Comp Orange as well. As for the tires, I did notice a 2018 date code when you zoomed in so those are probably the second set.
When I was 18 i was a lot Porter for Mazda. I used to take the rx8s and meet friends to drag race. I beat a lt1 Camaro on time. The detialers down the street flagged it off. Standard procedure.
Mantis West lol I go and test drive cars all the time and I’ve never been told I couldn’t rip one around. I always ask if can open it up and sales guys are all about it
I wondered the same things about my car 16 GT when i bought it lol. It has mbrp long tubes with no cat and airraid intake. I was thinking of getting a lund tuner kit but i assumed the car already has a tune because of the longtubes?
the mods look nice. The gloss black hood vents especially. I have those on my grabber blue '17 GT and it gives more accent to the hood and keys to the other black body & wheel components. I had the same concerns about hidden tunes when I bought mine used from a dealer. Mine also has the Roush CAI w/ the restrictor. I asked a respected shop in Richardson TX about any hidden tunes and he said if the CEL is not on, don't worry about it, he would just be taking my money for nothing for him to check it out. I told him I am a little concerned about gas mileage as I can barely eek out 19-20 mpg. Once again, he said don't worry about it as mpg ratings are measured in a controlled environment. I'm thinking the 3.73 rear end and 9"/10" tires contribute to lesser mpg. I guess it's not worth worrying about.
Nice car your spot on with the extra cost for heated an cold seats An ford charging 1600 for recaros should be a wash I would think. Looks like a solid car.
Does it have an aftermarket performance mass air flow sensor? If it does there should be a tune on the car. If it does but doesn't have a tune, or was reverted back to the stock factory settings it will cause the check engine light to come on.
I chose a 2014 GT Premium because of the body style looking more like a Mustang...jealous of that nav screen though!!! Ive never bought Pirelli's, but a Ford mechanic said he wasnt a fan of them. They seem to come on all the new Mustangs.
Comp Orange only looks red on screen. I barely see comp orange in person, but when i do, it actually looks orange. It is not a popular color where i'm from.
I have one of these👍🏻 2017 Mustang GT w/ performance Package in Magnetic grey, but not the premium. Got it used with only 900 miles on it, it came from NY State so it sadly has the holes in the front bumper cover for the front license plate. I baby it most of the time and only have 21,000 miles on it now.
Winglet is definitely NOT cheesey simply because it’s a legit piece from the 15-17 Roush cars and it actually screws in. And looks factory and makes the rocker look that much more aggressive similar to the added pieces on the new gt500’s rocker panel in the front. Those are added on. Just adds style points in the end with out completely changing the side rocker panels/splitters and going full rice mode.
Zander13 yeah I just ordered a set. I personally feel side splitters like what RTR makes are nice but if you notice they always start to sag. No matter what. And I don’t wanna change the panel to after market side skirts. I think that cheapens the car. This is the perfect “upgrade” to the look. That’s very discreet but when noticed people like it.
Very nice gt. Don't know if I missed it but how much was the sell or buy? I recently bought a 2015 mustang gt premium with 50 thousand miles for 28,500 cash including tax, title and lic. I had to scrape, save, and skip the Mcd's for a while to collect enough money. I work at a conv. store which practically pays squat. I'm guessing on that gt you sold I'm going with 33 to 35 g's. Thanks for the video.
Haven’t had a sports car since I sold my 13 5.0 for my duramax. That exhaust sounds so good. I’m going to have to get something else. Leaning toward new vette but nothing sounds as good as a stang.
Nice, I have the same spec car but in Guard Green. You have the premium performance pack with the 401A tech package. You can tell by the fish scale dash trim and the blind spot assist. You got lucky because they're not very common, even more so because it's comp orange. Hold onto it as long as you can
This may be a stupid question but, even if the previous owner had tune the car with a hand tuner and kept it, couldn't he still buy a new hand tuner save the tune on to the memory of the new tuner that's in the car now, then put whatever tune he likes into the car? And if you ever wanted to go back to what the car came with you could just program that tune back to the car............no? Anyways great video
A new tune will typically overwrite whatever the old tune did so you shouldn’t have to worry about if it has a previous tune if you are planning on a new one.
Man this is a sweet Stang . You really got a nice one . Who ever had it before put some nice touches to it . I wouldn't even look twice at a 350R 2019 or 20 with as good as yours looks & sounds . 1 thing , get that code checked thoroughly . It could be something simple like a bad coil pack , but it could also be a fouled spark plug due to contaminates in the cylinder ie , engine . Also when checking that have your engine oil check AND CHANGED ! But 1st and last , ENJOY THE RIDE !
Thats a gorgeous mustang especially for being used i bought a used 2014 5.0 that was heavily modified from out of state and it was a headache and it spent 3 months in the shop and $2000 later to get it to pass state inspection and i ended up trading it in a year and a half after i bought it. I will always look for stock or close to stock if i buy a used mustang again
Beautiful car. Awesome to buy a car and discover all these goodies. Cross traffic alert??? I didn't have that in my '18. I really miss that (Had it in my '17 STI.). I didn't know it was an option in Mustangs. Car sounds luscious.
Want to know how to place all pieces in Blokus? I'm your guy, at least for the foreseeable future. Also I loooooovvvvveeee Mustangs but I can't afford me a Coyote-powered BEAST, so Spring 2020 I will be looking around for a 99-04 GT (stick shifty balls of course)
Get that car over to VMP and let Justin install a Gen 3 Blower set up and be done with it. Get a 93 tune and an E85 tune and your good to go. Puts it in the high 740s RWHP on 93 pump gas close to 800RW on E85 and your done with it. Very safe tunes at those HPrs.Once you go FI you would never look back.
I had a real bad experience with VMP. I paid them for an email tune and then they told me I couldn't get the tune unless I bought THEIR fuel injectors. So I cancelled my order and after 2 weeks they still didn't refund me. I had to open a case with Paypal to get my refund! Be careful with those guys.
@@tomkjr1 Wow i installed my own injectors and they had no problem with it. They also gave me a free tune update and a data log. That's not like Justin to hold someone's money. Call over there and ask to speak with him. Something is not right.
Nice ride dude. If you still have factory warranty run that AC hard....they tend to go bad ... the evaporator. Mine went out at 8500 miles with 6 months left on the warranty, also a 2016 GT.
Its so beautiful.... but I gotta see/drive/know the background/talk to who buying it from no matter what. Its a big purchase so I gotta get as much info as possible.
@@jdea1817 means it gets driven on weekends, and nice sunny days. get an economy car for work, supermarket, and other menial things. when you take the mustang out, you will enjoy it more, and have more fun, and it will stay in pristine shape far longer.
Dodge dealer didn’t know that they were selling me a 2015 Mustang GT PP manual. Sometimes you love that the dealers just want to sell it to get it off the lot.
Guys I have the same car (‘16 S550 GT PP) and had pretty much the same code - cylinder 2 misfire. Just got my car back from the dealership...apparently Ford released a TSB (technical service bulletin) on a manufacturer defect for the intake manifold. The baffles butterfly and interrupt the airflow, it needed to be replaced. Not a huge deal but just FYI if it comes back on!
Super sweet looking hot rod!’ How much was it?? A lot nicer than your other buddies GT undiscovered buy the first video I seen of yours but I’m sure this one was a lot higher$ but man this one is hella nice!
As the dealer said it doesn't know if the car has had a tune (BS), I put this to you. The car had a tune with the Roush cold air intake sleave removed, but in order to sell the car with warranty, the previous owner was required to provide the intake sleave, which was inserted, then the dealer (or someone) retuned the car to stock tune.
I had a 2004 Competition Orange GT convertible. 40th anniversary model. 5 speed. Black top, black leather interior, Mach 460 sound system. I miss that car. But I love my 2019 GT Premium PP1 6 speed in Velocity blue.
sounds so awesome! those coyote engines a no joke. carrying on the 5.0 tradition. hey Zander13 you will like my hemi orange 2009 SRT 8 challenger. i do love the hemi orange. oif 1/2013-2014 15 months.
I bought a modded 2018 GT and that sent me down a long rabbit hole... while its got headers, cams, etc. I didn't know it had cams and re-tuned it, and then it ran like shit and threw camshaft sensor codes, started changing out sensors, took the valve cover off, to find out it had cams, but by then it was too late. I already screwed something up and now its at the dealership having their techs stand over it scratching their heads.... $32K down the drain.... I went from it throwing a P0369 code occasionally to it simply not detecting the crankshaft sensor, because I put a new one in and it won't let me do a crank relearn on it. If you buy a car and its tuned and has mods, just leave it be, or you'll end up with a hunk of metal you can't enjoy....
I liked It but I find It funny they went from pony car's to coyote's lol I'm just glad they fixed the posi rear end cause the 89 90's models use to spin one tire like a dog dragging It's butt but this Is coming from a camaro guy so...
I have a 2018 mustang gt with a Roush CAI, Roush x-pipe, Roush axle back and dealer installed Roush pcm calibration (tune). The car has ~5600 miles on it. My ltft bank 1 is ~11.7% at idle and around 5% during regular city driving. My ltft bank 2 is at ~7.8 % at idle and around 5% in normal city driving. My 02 voltage is around .65-.75v. I currently have no codes because they’ve been cleared but at wot and around 6500-7000 rpm my cel comes on with a p0300 code. My mode 6 on my scanner shows misfire counts as well (1-2 counts ) randomly across cylinders 2-7. My maf reads 390-500 g/s at idle as well. Car was checked multiple times even with the cel on and i have been told the car is fine and that nothing is wrong....coil packs are fine, spark is fine, Maf was cleaned and functioning fine.... what is going on??? STFT is generally -3.5-3.0 too btw. Help ZANDERR!!
Hey @zander13 I also bought a 2016 mustang gt about a week ago , when I got the car I also had the engine light flashing on me as well and it was also the misfire , took it to ford and got the spark plugs changed and throttle body, barely got it back 2 days ago and had the check engine light flash on me again with the code being multiple random misfires

@@seanpaul8584 100% trust and believe lots of cars were raced. We got a used hell cat that got raced many times prior to sale.
My ass is so big I think I smushed my air channels I don't feel them anymore
Very nice car. The engine looks clean AF, good mods all around.
They seem to come on all the new Mustangs.
yeah, like the new stangs better myself
It looks more red than orange in the video, but either way it is really nice. Congratulations on the "new" car.
Comp Orange only looks red on screen. I barely see comp orange in person, but when i do, it actually looks orange. It is not a popular color where i'm from.
Howard Lazoff I’m gonna insert “race red” every time he says comp orange lol
Comp orange is a nice head turner 👍
I really like it
Zander13 yeah I just ordered a set.
That Mustang is beautiful! Love the hood struts, and the engine details.
Haven’t had a sports car since I sold my 13 5.0 for my duramax. That exhaust sounds so good. I’m going to have to get something else. Leaning toward new vette but nothing sounds as good as a stang.
a C8 does,you wont be disappointed.
Nice, I have the same spec car but in Guard Green. You have the premium performance pack with the 401A tech package. You can tell by the fish scale dash trim and the blind spot assist. You got lucky because they're not very common, even more so because it's comp orange. Hold onto it as long as you can
Nice car man and good upgrades if he got a good price for it then he came out winning with those expensive mods. Nice !
That colour pops real nice 👌🏾👍🏾
I don't know what to believe anymore with dealerships being able to know if a car has been tuned or not
Right he could take it back tomorrow and they be like nope been tuned......
I think they can see the key on cycles or some such
Zander you're such a mustang expert. You would know more than most ford employees. I wish you lived in my neighborhood. Melbourne Australia. Lol.😁
I went to go buy a new gt last month, the ford employees knew nothing about the car.
Does anyone know what the deck lid change was? He said flat black and I hate the plastic on mine.
it was smooth. the stock one will have holes in it if the GT emblem is removed. This car had a whole different one
That's a good looking mustang congrats to your buddy
He got a good one for sure 💪
Wow your friend has a nice coyote! Didn’t know they comp orange! Have to say this my second fav color!
Not a garbage tire at all but it’s not a tire for drag racing it’s a great summer tire but when the road is cold lookout
What did you do to the exhaust to make it sound so good? Did you add something or you bought it that way?
Need an update on this car. Find out info from previous owner? any new upgrades?
he sold it
Looks like a great buy.
My son has one 2018 pp1 dam nice cars but the orange wow love it
Thats a gorgeous mustang especially for being used i bought a used 2014 5.0 that was heavily modified from out of state and it was a headache and it spent 3 months in the shop and $2000 later to get it to pass state inspection and i ended up trading it in a year and a half after i bought it. I will always look for stock or close to stock if i buy a used mustang again
Never buy someone elses wife lol
Nice looking stang!!!!! Oh, and a sweet sound too!!!
Beautiful car. Awesome to buy a car and discover all these goodies. Cross traffic alert??? I didn't have that in my '18. I really miss that (Had it in my '17 STI.). I didn't know it was an option in Mustangs. Car sounds luscious.
If your buddy has any questions feel free to hit me up Zander. Also Brand new tires and clutch... not cheap!
Most important:
***93 Oct tune***
Why did you leave the sleeve in the air intake if it's tuned?
Damn brand new clutch with 25k? I assume it’s an upgraded one.
@@MormonMustang_ honestly didn't know it was sleeved like that...
@@DivineKaze oem ford clutch kit with pressure plate, pilot bearing and hydraulic throwout assembly.
@ I take pride in taking care of my rides!
DAAAYYYMMM THAT SOUND GOOOOOOD
Want to know how to place all pieces in Blokus? I'm your guy, at least for the foreseeable future.
Also I loooooovvvvveeee Mustangs but I can't afford me a Coyote-powered BEAST, so Spring 2020 I will be looking around for a 99-04 GT (stick shifty balls of course)
Awesome ride! Looks amazing. Any idea what rear spoiler is it? Considering getting one for my 2015 S550. This looks amazing...
Mine is a 2016 California special convertible. I love the 16
1:48 man going on an intense bike ride
Its so beautiful.... but I gotta see/drive/know the background/talk to who buying it from no matter what. Its a big purchase so I gotta get as much info as possible.
Mine's a 2015 Mustang GT competition orange with 22000 miles on it :)
Means you aren't enjoying the shit out of it
@@jdea1817 means it gets driven on weekends, and nice sunny days. get an economy car for work, supermarket, and other menial things. when you take the mustang out, you will enjoy it more, and have more fun, and it will stay in pristine shape far longer.
@zander13 .....Why turn off hill start assist?
Super sweet looking hot rod!’ How much was it?? A lot nicer than your other buddies GT undiscovered buy the first video I seen of yours but I’m sure this one was a lot higher$ but man this one is hella nice!
As the dealer said it doesn't know if the car has had a tune (BS), I put this to you. The car had a tune with the Roush cold air intake sleave removed, but in order to sell the car with warranty, the previous owner was required to provide the intake sleave, which was inserted, then the dealer (or someone) retuned the car to stock tune.
You're making a hell of a lot of assumptions.
I like the red engine covers
All you have to do to see if it is tuned is check the rev limiter. I’ve never seen a tuner for s550s not raise the limiter.
I had a 2004 Competition Orange GT convertible. 40th anniversary model. 5 speed. Black top, black leather interior, Mach 460 sound system. I miss that car. But I love my 2019 GT Premium PP1 6 speed in Velocity blue.
I like all the different cars in the channel. Good job
sounds so awesome! those coyote engines a no joke. carrying on the 5.0 tradition. hey Zander13 you will like my hemi orange 2009 SRT 8 challenger. i do love the hemi orange. oif 1/2013-2014 15 months.
💪💪💪
Not Too Familiar W/ FORD Misfire Codes,But When My Lexus Pulls It Up,Usually a BAD COIL PACK or Bad Plug,If It Re Appears.
That’s a cool car. Great video experience looks fun.
I had a comp orange 2015. That looks red to me.
Zander. Do you think the S197 will be in demand like the 🦊 mustang in years to come?
Oh yes
This car is 🔥🔥🔥. I have one like this as my cellphone screensaver lol
🔥🔥🔥
Hey @zander13 I also bought a 2016 mustang gt about a week ago , when I got the car I also had the engine light flashing on me as well and it was also the misfire , took it to ford and got the spark plugs changed and throttle body, barely got it back 2 days ago and had the check engine light flash on me again with the code being multiple random misfires
It's a beautiful car and it runs great but I'm still partial to my '84 thunderchicken lol.
