Gibson Guitars is proud to announce our virtual concert series in partnership with Women Who Rock benefiting Magee-Womens Research Institute, featuring this amazing lineup of #WomenWhoRock.
Celisse is a singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist performer and solo artist in her own right. Her deep and varied career has seen her on stage at Saturday NightLive with LIZZO to performances with MELISSA ETHERIDGE, KESHA, JOSS STONE, PHISH-TREY ANASTASIO, MACY GRAY, MARIAH CAREYand more. The NYC-based artist has been an integral cast member and performer on Broadway’s Wicked to Bridget Everett’s Rock Bottom and the recent revival of Godspell at Circle. On TV, CELISSE has appeared on PBS’s The Electric Company, 30 Rock, Rescue Me, The Big C, White Collar and more. Celisse joined Jon Baptiste for his NPR Tiny Desk concert and released her new single “Freedom” which raised funds for “The Movement 4 Black Lives” and “Campaign Zero” this past June
Through the power of music this October for #BreastCancerAwarenessMonth, we can make a difference in the lives of women around the world, by raising funds and awareness for life-saving women's health research at Magee-Womens Research Institute, the nation's largest research institute dedicated solely to women's health.
Donations generated from the Gibson Guitars’ Foundation Gibson Gives and Women Who Rock campaign during the month of October benefiting Magee-Womens Research Institute will be matched by UPMC and UPMC Health Plan up to $25,000.

Celisse is on fire here as always. Ultimate soul and dynamics, perfect push/pull and feel. What a musician!!!! But what i loved most here was seeing how much she was digging the bass and the connection she had with the bass player.

I don't care what you think, this lady kicks butt, outstanding. Half the time she stares of into the distance or closes her eyes and just plays, very few can do that.
Greatvoice, great timing, great attack, honestly great everything. ;-)

I first found out about Celisse on the Tone Mob podcast. I thought she sounded cool as hell and was pleased to find out that her music was just as cool. I was so glad to see her in this Gibson video and I have to say that SG is sexy as hell. Definitely throws off some Sister Rosetta Tharpe vibes. Keep kicking ass, Celisse!

@REDDOGG 24 ive been with mine close to 20 years myself but i really never thought about cancer getting her tell now she really is everything to me i see that more now than ever thanks for the comment.
@REDDOGG 24 I hope you never get a scare like that again I had a time they said I had brain cancer turned out to be a cyst in my naisle cavity my wife was what kept me together I was ready to give up turned out I dident even had one doctor put it on paper. I owe everything to her but tell now I really haven't thought about her getting brest cancer I really didn't know it was that common.

The problem with a lot of modern blues rock is it feels too processed, clean and lacking nuance. It’s a medium that’s dominated by ‘guitar show’ virtuosos who treat the pentatonic scale like a cheap suit, busting out their inner EVH (r.i.p) yearnings, or smearing it with the complete works of music theory A-Z. I often feel those often outstanding, astonishing players, jump back on the blues train because they couldn’t make it pay in their own secretly desired medium. Ultimately, what’s missing is soul. Here’s a player who still gets it. Nuance and Soul by the bucket load!!! 🙏🎸

Gibson, make standard line Eric Clapton signature guitars. I'm talking Beano Burst, fool SG, Firebird, but not custom shop. Nobody can pay $8000 dollars for a single pickup guitar. It can't be that hard. Fender did the dragon tele. It's your move and you could blow fender out of the fucking water with a signature fool SG. Hit me up if you legitimately consider it. I have a Fool copy myself and can't bear all the images on Google with just awful paint jobs and completely wrong colors.
