FJ Cruiser Car Camper Build (on a budget!) | Camping Trip Goes Wrong

We have been doing some work to the FJ, after 7 months off grid and being driven daily, it needed some love. Since our truck is out of commission, we decided to build the FJ to camp in on as little money as possible. It turned out good, but unfortunately we didn’t get to utilize the fruit of my labor!
I also started a podcast! Solitude and Singletrack is now live on many streaming partners, but since it is so fresh, it may take some time to publish to all the major places you get your podcasts. For sure it is live on Spotify and iHeart!
We are still shopping for a cargo trailer!

Definitely need to invest in a carbon monoxide detector. We had a similar situation in a crappy tent. We use ours in our van and tent whenever we go camping. The bus we are building will also have one. Great Video!

That is a great idea. We have never had that issue in a tent before(and we were dedicated tent campers years ago) so that wasn't even a thought! So scary! We definitely have one in the trailer, but may invest in another for the car next time we go camping.
