Remember 6.0 will be the FULL Finale of the Season 1 storyline. There is no waiting until 6.3 to see the finale. 6.0 is the finale so expect the storyline to be much longer than past expansions since it will also cover MSQ that would normally be in X.1 to X.3. 6.1 will be the beginning of the new Season 2 storyline.

You know, the darkest and saddest possibility since it's basically ending this storyline, is that perhaps all of them end-up dying EXCEPT for Alphineaud, who then becomes the sole chronicler of the history and deeds of his comrades. Given the seriousness of the events, I wouldn't discount the likelihood.
For the one in the twitch chat, who asked what title Emet Selch had : Emet Selch is basically the title yes but what you meant is something different. So Emet Selch, Lahabrea etc are so called Espers or Scions, not to be mistaken for our Scions (which in hindsight is probably a wink of Yoship) . They have many titles depending if you're talking about their Light or Dark Form. In this case Emet Selch is the Light forms title. Scion of the Darkness is Zalera the death Seraph Scion of the light is Emet Selch, Angel of truth Zodiac sign is Gemini, the twins And his element is Death It's reaaally interesting to see the others actually :) I can only recommend to read the lore behind them. Fun fact : Fandaniel for example is called The Protector. And if we look at Emet and how he fit into the whole death theme I think we can assume that Fandaniel isn't as blank as people belief him to be
It almost sounds like the FF4 boss theme because its a motif from the battle theme from FF1 which is sprinkled throughout the franchise and throughout 14's tracks, you can even slightly hear it in the ShB theme when the lyrics get to the "one brings shadow, one brings the light" part but it's like spaced out almost. Soken is really good at slipping it in to number of 14 songs. I could just be hearing things tho XD
This trailer is a massive Alphinaud death flag. However he is Yoshi-P,'s favorite and is the closest we have to a fixed protagonist whose looks aren't player dependant. No way in hell is he dying. Everyone else might die, including the WoL, but I think the twins are safe.

here is a penny for your thoughts its a known final fantasy classic staple that they kill your entire party off in alot of FF stories so yes it is possible they will do the same in Endwalker BUT the party always returns from death's door before the final encounter xD so its foreshadowing but also a fake death alarm lmao

And in Final Fantasy 7 Remake (who is behaves a lot like a sequel than a reboot, like an alternate timeline) we dont know what will happen with Aerith, she may die but be brought back again. Bottom line is they could do all sort of things (for example everyone dies at mid point and we do a time jump) and just do a timeline reversal.

In chat someone said Fandaniel was Zeromus. I say he is Golbez. He was tempered before the summoning of Zodiark by whatever caused the original End Days, and so Zodiark itself was flawed from the moment of its creation. We will cure him, likely defeat Zodiark and Hydaelyn, and then we will summon a new "Zodiark" with Alphinaud as its core, since he is the most idealistic of the troupe much like Elidibus once was. And it will break us all.
All the Ascians have the Esper Titles from Final Fantasy 12. There were also Judge Magister uniforms shown in this trailer as well. But yeah its quite possible they are going to bring Golbez back in some form along with Fu So Ya. Maybe it will be in Deltascape , maybe they 'll insert them into the story in some way (like Ba'Gamnan), maybe in multiple ways. I feel Golbez is too important of a FF villain to change (just like Kefka, Chaos, ExDeath, Cloud of Darkness) so if they insert him into the story i suspect they will look heavily into his Lunarian status (maybe they'll even insert Final Fantasy 4: The After Years).
Consider this: In the JP dub his voice says something entirely different from what he says in english. My JP level is mediocre, but I gathered something like this from listening to it (very rough translation below): "ああ、ゾヂアーク, 割れはの作りし神よ、どうか、色々聞き届給え！そして、私達を返しておくれ!" "Oh Zodiark, the god we created / the broken god (ambiguous meaning there), please listen to me! And give us back everything!" So yeah, theories can go crazy.
As far as the final lines in the trailer, I think it has to do with Alphinaud thanking the Scions for having his back before they confront his father about what's going on, considering those doors are from Sharlayan. If we are to take what Yoshi P said seriously about doing his best to leave out major spoilers, then it stands to reason why he would choose those last lines to end it, considering how out of context they are, and the fact that most people will automatically assume that this spells the end for Alphinaud.
I think this line will be in front of the final dungeon, when the group is about to enter but not sure if they'll all survive. That's a line said in the face of death, not in the face of confronting your father.

I also think Y'shtola is safe because they've faked out her death 3 times already (ARR, Stormblood and Shadowbringers) and it's gotten old narritavely, unless they've decided Y'shtola fake outs are going to be a running gag. She's essentially the mascot for FF14 so I doubt they'd ever get rid of her.
I feel like they are trying to lead us to believe Alphinaud is going to die with the death flags but really it's going to be one of the other scions instead

Word of the Mother has told us in an urianger way that Hydaelyn yeeted him out into the moon after drop kicking him into pieces. That was all the way back in 3.x before we met the then warriors of darkness
think of it this way, the convocation gave the planet at the time of the final days a will of its own so that it would suppress all the bad things happening that was what Zodiark was then hydaelyn was created to be his equal by those who believed the world should belong to those yet to be born and not those who came before. so when the two wills of the star clashed hydaelyn triumphed an shattered Zodiark which unfortunately busted up the universe of FFXIV and divided it into shards or separate dimensions of the world itself. the broken remains of zodiark were then casted off to the moon and sealed away tightly and securely so Zodiark would not continue to demand sacrifices of the people nor temper them as he did to the convocation. but hydaelyn miscalculated his reach as he spared and shielded two out of the thirteen convocation members that being Lahabrea and Emet-selch its these two who then reunite their lost brethren and raise them up to their former stations thru the memory crystals they all once bared. it was then that Lahabrea invoked the summoning of "Elidibus" to act as a balance to the tempering effect of zodiark so they could carry out the "rejoinnings" to make the shattered Zodiark whole again and thus could they use him to revive their lost home and their lost loved ones so they believed.. but Emet-selch wasn't wholly unboard with the idea and instead he tried to cope with his loss by trying to understand the sundered people and maybe reach some kind of common grounds like his lost friend Azem would have done.

There are points in the previous story where you do play as them. Briefly, and for battles, but you can play as them.
I don't like how Alphi wasn't in that ending shot, so for some morbid reason I don't feel like you're entirely wrong there.
