    If you haven't trained at least a solid year in weightlifting then don't even bother with your stupid comments. to put 200kg above your head is a serious achievement in itself, let alone 210, 220, 230 and so on. everyone comes here comparing these guys to klokov and ilya as if they're even supposed to compare... No fucking shit they don't compare. those guys are the very elite level, the best of the best and have been training in the sport since they were children. You don't have to be the very best to be impressive.

    The cal strength team is killing it, well done to Wes for that ridiculous total. I believe he's natty as well, too bad the international competition won't be or he would be world class

    • @erichuang6138

      It's hard to say whether or not he is natty, but no one can deny Wes's insane ability and hard work

  • @GONZOftw2k
    @GONZOftw2k 7 років тому

    I don't know why people hate on this. It's an insane achievement and it's just beautiful how much fun they have and how much of a community they seem to be. First thing people come up with is comparisons. I don't know why that's a thing nowadays. And the cringy part is that people always come up with either Clarence or Klokov. As far as I know Lu Xiaojun snatches 177kg in a competition in the 77kg class.

    • @hayndoog808
      @hayndoog808 7 років тому

      Garret Greiner Ya it is very impressive, however, thats the bad thing with "unofficial" records. Heaviest total an American 105kg weightlifter has lifted ever... ya probably because he ain't 105kg.

    • @davidmckellar9416
      @davidmckellar9416 7 років тому +4

      TheFonz808 He weighed 107.3 that morning which is absolutely perfect weight for him and won't damper his performance at Pan Ams the slightest bit

    • @WesKitts
      @WesKitts 7 років тому +3

      TheFonz808 haha I weigh 107kg right now big guy. I'll hold this weight until day before competing and then an easy water cut. The heaviest I got all year was probably around 110. I try to train around my competing weight so I don't have to acclimate to a big cut or lose any strength as I prepare.

    • @hayndoog808
      @hayndoog808 7 років тому +2

      Wes Kitts 105kg or not that is still very impressive that you can stay within 5kg of your comp weight and still make hella gains going into your comp. I wish I knew your nutrition protocols because I'm the type of guy that would put on almost 10kg of pizza and oreo weight just to put maybe 20kg to my total, then water cut to 105kg, just to lose almost those gains I made. No hate from me only much love bro!

      Bashar Khaddage ugh I hate on every weightlifting vid people compare to Clarence. Clarence is a phenomenal athlete but
      a) it's not necessary to compare him to everyone,
      b) he hates it himself when ppl use him as a comparison
      c) Clarence has more or less confirmed he is on drugs. while it is likely wes is, it's not confirmed and even if he is it's def not on the level of Clarence bc Clarence doesn't have to worry about year round testing (since he doesn't compete)

    • @joedi6585
      @joedi6585 7 років тому +2

      lol anyone who thinks clarence is in any universe "natty" must think there is a chance someone on planet earth can look like ronnie coleman without ever taking steroids. But hey, maybe clarence is from asgard or the planet kyrpton and his delts are just natty as NATTY???

    • @sergiotl7378
      @sergiotl7378 6 років тому

      namn Not that I think Clarence is natty, because he surely isn't, but could you please elaborate on this: "Clarence has more or less confirmed he is on drugs"? I keep hearing that from annonymous people on the internet and whenever I ask them to link the video or source where he says that... well, they stay silent as a tomb or make excuses.

    This is insane, but despite how big he lifts, one can realize how far away these guys are from, for instance, the professional Olympic Chinese lifters such as Lu Xiaong (77Kg) or Tian Tao (85Kg). I'm not disrespecting this guy's lifts whatsoever. :-)
    Just saying this comparison gives you perspective of how strong the professional ones are. They are in a whole different league.

    • @Yusuf1187
      @Yusuf1187 7 років тому +5

    • @daltonj1498
      @daltonj1498 7 років тому +27

      What makes you think this guy isn't? You shouldn't make assumptions to fit your argument....

    • @Yusuf1187
      @Yusuf1187 7 років тому +3

      I wasn't "assuming". I just said probably. It was just my guess since I didn't think these guys were professional athletes, so their motivation or need to use isn't as great.
      Although as I was typing this comment I looked Wes Kitts up and this guy is actually competing at a serious level, is going to the Olympics I guess, and apparently has jerked 521 (but not cleaned). So yeah he's probably on drugs lol. I take it back.

    • @daltonj1498
      @daltonj1498 7 років тому +7

      using the word "probably" is the a word used to assume something... Like me saying "the guy probably cheated on his gf or the guy probably stole that car"... Using words like "maybe" shows no assumption. These guys aren't professional athletes? What constitutes as an athlete? Is a power lifter an athlete? is someone who does strongman an athlete?
