I don't know it straight and a t Rod there's not much difference there's not much different difference yeah admit afterwards I guess that would be the easy way out
All due respect, I think you needed to add some heat stabilizer to your plastisol, if you used the Essential Series plastic. It looked like you might have burnt it a bit. Try using Dead On, I have not burnt any plastic since changing over. I love your videos, keep up the great informative & instructional videos! A loyal subscriber. I just also subscribed under my UA-cam channel. But under my name, I've been following for a good while.
Thanks for the support. Yes i totally burnt the plastic. I’ve found that when i try and hurry the heating process i burn the plastisol. When i slow down i don’t.
Plastic for too hot too quickly. I've it starts to gel z only do like 15-20 seconds at a time until it slowly reaches 350. Then shoot. It should keep the plastic a bit more clear. Pthalate free plastisol tends to be a bit more temperature stable in my opinion as well.
Thanks Bro, good idea and I will be using it. If you don't mind. Did you get an answer on how to keep your colors from being dull. Was it a lubricant needed or is it the Mold itself? Good content
The yellow color was from me burning the plastisol a little and the dullness was most likely from the mold. The DoIt essential series molds are cast aluminum and not CNC which is why it’s a little dull. I also did this with ned worms too: ua-cam.com/video/s968T4ouQw0/v-deo.html
Yes That Do-It Essential Series Plastisol Is Crap It Is OK For Dark Colored Baits But If You Are Doing White And Clear Bait If You Heat It Up To Much Or Over and Over It Yellows So i Only Use It For Dark Colors Dead On Plastix Is The Best For White and Clear
Some plastic just yellows as you heat it up and the more times you heat it up. Like your idea with the core shot. Question is the tail section thick enough to have a longer rod go all the way through?
Yeah I’ve played around a little with the plastic and you’re right, but this was some user error though for sure. This mold doesn’t have a thick enough tail for the rod to go all the way through.
pretty cool bro. i have this mold in transit to me and as soon as i get them im gonna try this. thanks for the video. check out my work when i get more bait making videos up!

Beautiful colors! 👌
Thanks
Core shots are tougher than you make it look Matt! Lol👍 nice video!
Thanks! I burned the plastisol on these ones but the process is still the same!
Yeah that was pretty cool I wonder if they make them core shots like t-shaped where it would come out and make shad black dot On each side of the bait
No idea how you’d accomplish that. It would be pretty tough to accomplish that. You could just add that after.
I don't know it straight and a t Rod there's not much difference there's not much different difference yeah admit afterwards I guess that would be the easy way out
The problem is how it would be designed in the mold for all that stuff to come together. I’m sure it’s possible but would take a lot of engineering
where did you get the rods?
Home Depot!
@@MattLunaFishing - THANKS!!!!!!! - I went a head and watched your other video on the CoreShot - great job; great video
Thanks for watching!

They totally are. Between hi-lights glitter colorant etc, you imagination is the only limit!

@@MattLunaFishing Dead on Plastics Plastisol is way better in my opinion.
Good video Matt!
Thank you!
switch to dead on plastic it much friendly
Thanks I’ve heard good things

It’s the mold CNC molds won’t dull your colors but are are more expensive

Thanks man. I messed it up for sure. Reheating too many times and not paying attention to my temps!
@@MattLunaFishing Dead On Plastix if You Reheat 20 30 Seconds at a Time i Reheat Pure Whit Over and Over No Yellowing
Good to know! Thanks
You need heat stabilizer to slow down the heating. And you over it. Get heat gun

What size rods are those
These are 3”
@@MattLunaFishing how big around are they?
Similar to a kietech swing impact fat
Maybe just slightly larger
👍🏼
Thank you! Thanks for watching!
There’s another YTer that does the core shots, Worlds Worst Fishing, he oils the rods. I’m not sure if that’d help you. 🙂🤙🏼
I did oil the rods. Just didn’t show that part. I’ve watched his videos. He has a great channel! Thanks for watching! Appreciate it!

If you used dead on plastic I know it would work but I don’t know why they yelled
Thanks. I think it’s just from over heating the plastic.

Awesome man! Have fun with it. The color schemes are endless!
Spray your molds with 500 degree engine enamel and it will make the bait shinny. I saw it on that guy skimpy
I’ve tried to do that and it didn’t work for me!
@@MattLunaFishing I tried it, the secret is light coating (2 separate coatings). Wait at least 24 hour before you use them once done.
Waste of time and money
