Back in the early 2000s my first car out of high school was a 99 eclipse gst and the only mod I had was an hsk bov, good memories.
How sick did you feel after Fast and Furious came out and you were driving an eclipse

the best BOV was the greddy type s - i believe that was what was on the eclipse in the F&F (correct me if i'm wrong)

Thanks for the video. Is it safe to install SSQV4 HKS blow off valve on a stock 2002 Subaru Wrx? I’ve read the stock bypass valve is recirculating, but need to do more research on that. Lmk what you think. Thank you

It doesn’t require a tune for it? I’ve read some people say it needs a tune or else you can damage the engine.

I have a used ‘21 STi that came with an HKS BOV. I’ve never had any issues with idling or running rich/lean, did the previous owner tune for this or is there no need to tune for this BOV? Thank you
It is HIGHLY recommended. Same concept as not swapping brake pads, ya it might work for a while, but when it doesn't, you're screwed

For a GR yaris / GR Corolla, are they reccomended for recirculated or 100% goes to atmosphere ?
Honestly, they're kinda too new to tell. I would suggest just keeping whatever stock feed is and just upgrading!
I own wxt sti 2011 complete stock and i want to change the blow off valve do i need same remap after changing the valve

2020 Honda Civic Si.
HKS SQV IV on 10-16-23 recirculating. and next day, Error code: P145D, P04F0. after installment. Any advice? Yes I did purchase from authorized dealer.
I'm not exactly sure why but the 2020 10th gens are super picky, I have a 2019 Si and I've had a bypass valve spacer for about 2 months now with no issues. Before I got it tuned it ran a little rich and would pop sometimes but now it runs perfect. So you may be able to tune it out through K-tuner just tell your tuner

The spring is not sold, but a diaphragm is. Usually the spring can just be reused. But if you are needing one, you can email us at sales@vividracing.com!
HKS BOV doesn’t run a spring. It’s a pull style with a diaphragm style BOV.

Ive ben hearing ppl talk about not using wastegates on a twin turbo v8 but running 2 blow off valves one on each turbo inlet pipe … gimmee your input on that idea

I wouldn’t say running no BOV is as detrimental as you explained. Most if not all D1GP cars don’t run a BOV, along with a lot of Formula D turbo cars. MAF cars shouldn’t run VTA or run no BOV.
MAF cars that VTA are fine as long as the MAF is piped after the BOV

A turbo spinning one way at 100000rpm isnt gonna spin backwards 😂 itll damage a journal bearing turbo over time especially at high rpm. Ballbearing will last forever.
Pretty much everyone who owns a 1jz remove their bov because they leak so everyone just doses around constantly. Mine hasnt had one for 100000ks
What I got out of this comment is that your 1jz has a leaky BOV and you should upgrade to this HKS one
