Similar design at our church but the only difference is we have small round tables instead of pews or chairs. We have two armed plain clothes greeters at the door and several other armed church safety team members in all four corners of the sanctuary. We greet all new visitors and introduce ourselves by name and have another member escort them to our "cafe" for a free coffee and bagel to enjoy at the table. We have a general distress/incident word to yell that lets all members know to get down immediately. We practice shooting and also pray together as a team. All doors are locked and manned after service has started and any latecomers are greeted and discreetly scrutinized.
Thank you for this video. We had a training workshop at church. What this video highlights is something that we tend to forget - how quickly the whole scenario played out! Very good tips and reminders - as a defender you are responsible for every round that leaves the muzzle.
I do church security. I never carry anything less than my 19 and a spare mag. Both mags have plus 2 base plate, and I have one in the pipe. So altogether, 35 rounds. Not to mention my 38 spec revolver, which holds 5 more rounds.
Nicely done, I'll admit my eye was drawn by Mr. Obvious Trenchcoat Guy. Nobody ever really expects such a thing to happen. Mr. Umbrella just needs a top hat and a fancy cigarette and he'll be all set. (That's a Batman joke.)
Clearly every church should have a valid security plan in place with hopefully more than one person to engage the threat. Hopefully they practice on a regular basis, hopefully they communicate while securing. I hope a lot of people get an opportunity to view the video and take some valuable knowledge away from it that may save someone you know someday. Same goes for schools or location's where people gather. Calling for more gun laws will not address the evil in man. You can not believe since a law was passed their is no need to worry, evil with intent will strike and will not care what laws they may be breaking. Good job USCCA - very happy I am a member of a proactive organization.
We love having you in our family, John! We are hoping this reaching as many people who are interested in coming up with a plan to protect their House of Worship. Will you be attending the Live Training Broadcast?
My daughter asked me a about a month back or so why I was carrying in church (I hate that it's come to doing this). Situations like this... Our sanctuary is no longer as safe as once was...and God gives you a brain along with your faith to do what is needed to save lives. Always sitting in a corner, at an angle for best view and quick access to one of a few exits.
I’m pretty sure there’s people in my church that carry as well. We have a few police officers that attend our church and though they are off duty then, they are usually armed. Especially now days. Hate to say it but I hope they are armed. As much as I don’t want to see anyone killed, bad people or not, it’s important to keep people safe especially kids and families.
I love how they threw in matrix guy to kinda test people's mind that the ones that kill can be just as average as you and not a guy in a trench coat...I actually went to church with guys that looked like him and covered in tattoos and they were really good people.
You have got that right, DownSouth Ninja. It is very hard to watch. We do try to make it as real as possible so that you all can get the best training as possible out of this!
Great training scenario! I will definitely be sharing this with my "safety/security team". Looking forward to watching more like this and I have signed up for the training on Monday.
It's interesting to see how quickly and chaotic events like this can get. It's also interesting to see each person's reaction. I too would like to know how many shots made hits and to whom. Thanks for the video! I plan to share these with my other church friends.

Were those vest's measuring hits? I'm curious about the effectiveness of the defender. How many other folks were hit? Thanks for the video, but hit info would be interesting.
The vests do measure hits and the person wearing them do receive a small pain penalty so they know they were hit, SinglePotMike. Make sure to watch our Live Training Broadcast to watch the whole scenario play out!
The training is not very good when the security guy says he wants to sit in the front row. He should be in the last row in the back so he can see the shooter and he is behind the shooter instead of standing in front and having to turn around.

I'm not security, but I'm security minded. I picked a similar spot to this security guy for much thr same reason. Glad to hear my judgment validated. I hope I never need to put it to use.
I am security at church. I watch your videos all the time. My most important move if someone enters with a gun is go toward them and get closer for the shot on target. Thanks for all your training videos. Going to firearms instructor training in February.
There is always one frightening thought; with so many guys having their guns out and shooting, mistakes can be made about who the bad guy is and getting shot by "friendly fire."
I have to say that this was a very realistic scenario. Your church layout is eerily similar to our own. I can immediately see where my own prejudices played into my personal analysis of the scenario. I immediately centered my attention on the fellow with the heavy coat. When I should have also noted the umbrella on a sunny day. This scenario clearly demonstrates a critical need for similarly intense training for any team that volunteers for such a sacrificial endeavor as protecting the flock from evildoers. God bless you and please continue with this good work.
Umbrellas on a sunny day aren't even out of the ordinary though. People like shade when it's beaming. No real way anyone could have picked that dude out, especially with trench coat on the opposite side of the room from him.
I hope you do, Lowtan18! There are so many programs out there for this type of training! We also offer a great book called, "Countering the Mass Shooter" that I think everyone should read! :) You can check that out by following this link: www.usconcealedcarry.com/product/countering-the-mass-shooter-threat-book/
Leroy, we wanted to put together something that was touching a big issue and help provide the foundation for Houses of Worship to protect their flock. Will you be attending the Live Training on November 12th?
As a retired police officer and deadly force instructor, I wish we would identify assailants as "active Killers" instead of this misnomer of "Active Shooters". I have learned that teaching "Active Shooter" instead of "Active Killer" tends to focus people on the illegal use of firearms only. And they are not taught that killing comes in many forms such as bladed weapons, fire, chemicals combined with other tools like duct tape, chains and locks, buckets or cans, etc. And as an instructor, I see that "Tom" engages with his sidearm like most of us when under duress (even if its only training duress), we shoot while looking over the gun instead of through the back of the handgun. Another example of why the failure of teaching the fight is dangerous. Instead, instructors teaching shooting, not fighting which creates a false sense of skills. Nice video. I learned a lot in a book titled, "Beyond the Muzzle: The Firearms instructors and Shooters Development Guide". A simple search should find it. Wow!
It's very eye opening how many round he was able to unload so quickly. I volunteer with Security at my local Church and want to thank you for all this useful information.
Leonardokite Me too. I had goose bumps...and moist eyes. Our church is probably one of the hardest targets around. A phenomenal security team and a very gun-friendly congregation.
@@longranger5226 Thanks for being more honest than me. You kind of read between the lines of what I said. Yes, I had goosebumps and moist eyes also.….Okay very very moist ;-) It definitely Struck a Chord with me.
It’s actually a closely protected secret how many people in our congregation or actually caring guns. The only people that know, are the head of security, and then the pastors and elders.I actually asked at one point how many we have, but nobody wanted to say. That actually makes me feel safer, rather than more at risk.
Interesting and encouraging to see the congregation participation. Trying to overcome the can't happen here mindset is a huge problem. "We don't want to alarm or worry anybody"
bowman321123, especially when some of the congregation did not know where the exits were. This is a very eye-opening scenario. Will you be tuning in for the Live Training?
Gonna try, I recall working with my church at the time and trying to get them to realize that being lucky each day with transients coming in and aimlessly wandering through the building was not a good policy.

I love the decoy in the giant trench coat. That obviously drew my attention first. Dude with the umbrella didn't set off any alarms. I learned from the video for sure.
We will go over that in the whole Live Training event on November 12th at 6:00 pm, Julian! Here is the link to enter: www.usconcealedcarry.com/offers?tID=5bd9d97736e5a
Wow, very realistic training, excellent advice provided. I am glad some people are starting to take this threat seriously. Security team, aim your shots to get combat effective hits, spray and pray will not stop the threat. Have two full spare mags on your belt in a purpose built mag pouch ready to roll. Your reloads should take you out of the fight for about 0.5 seconds, no more. Good job.
Yes sir. 🙏 and preparation. Yeah we definitely have more than one armed person in our services, trained to deal with this. That pulpit not giving much cover 😔
I hope part of the training is instilling the OODA loop. Observe, Orient, Decide, Act. E.g. Gunshot goes off, look in the direction of the gunshot, decide to either take cover if in an exposed position or to draw if in a offensible position, perform the action related to the decision. Repeat until the threat is neutralized. I don't have any military experience, but playing realistic military tank video games has taught me that the OODA loops will allow you to survive the encounter, or to deal as much damage as possible in a situation where survival is impossible so the others can finish the threat.
It is a very scary world we live in today, Chris! That is why we need to be as prepared as possible! Are you going to be attending the Live Training event?
Nice video. The first time I ever faced a real gun was in a Force on Force training. I backed up as quickly as I could, even though I knew that it only had Sim rounds. While I hope never to face a gun that has real bullets coming out, I pray that I will be able to help stop the assailant.
It is very interesting to what your initial reactions are when put in a scenario like that, Doctor Quackenbush! It does sound like some good training you got to participate in. Will you be attending the Live Training Event?
Even though I knew it was a fake shooting it was tense to watch it unfold. How many hits did protector make on aggressor? Always take at least two extra mags in accessible mag pouches. Two guns with exchangeable mags not a bad idea. If possible use more than a 9mm. Use 40 S&W or 357 Sig or 45 ACP. If more than one guardian try to all have same pistol so you can use each other's mags. Practice converging lines of fire when room is empty. Re run shoot house shootout scenarios... at least ten times in the place to be secured. Practice clearing the whole building in case shooter leaves main hall.
Great series! Though, if the rifle was as loud as a real AR15, the good guys in this scenario would have made different decisions due to the FIBS factor.
compliance is no assurance for safety. YET, with people in the auditorium and guns being fired the risk of lethal harm is great. I saw lawsuits oozing out the door and windows: wrongful death; great bodily harm; etc. Security should have been at the entrance ready to react and defend.
So in that specific scenario I saw only two options: 1) Announce gun and then play as part of the innocent just trying to find cover then draw and shoot as soon as he; looks away, points his gun elsewhere, attempts to reload or is distracted. 2) Announce gun and then kneel behind the chairs to conceal most of my body (giving the shooter less of a target to see) and attempting to shoot him down before too many rounds are fired. The only problem with that is the potential for someone to jump up in the way; though with the announcement of a gun and shooting taking place, I assume most people would be down low increasing this option to be the potentially better one. The "flaw" in both, is one he gets to shoot many rounds before I stop him and the other he is a certain distance away with potential people in between making hitting him hard; but at least I will most likely have drawn his fire and/or caused that shooter (because most don't expect someone to shoot back) to drop out of fear of getting hit. In option 2 if the shooter drops out of fear of getting hit, then the best option would be to continue shooting (slowly) to keep him down while moving in closer to make the rounds connect. Given, this is all in hind site and not in the moment; so who knows what I would actually do, I like to think with the practice I attempt that I would be at least partially prepared to act as fast as possible.
@@USCCAOfficial No unfortunately not, but I am going to watch it when I get an opportunity for education purposes. And thanks, I have not actually had nearly as much training as I would like to have had. But being in cyber security and risk management as my job. Assessing risk and making a determination based on that is part of the job. So I think on these things a whole lot and have developed a small hobby out of looking at my surrounding options in case an active shooter were to do one of 3 to 5 things depending on where I am at. But training based on those risks and security measures, honestly I have had little training; but I have gone over with my family what to do in case of a shooter at home and lots of thought processes on what and how I would do in the moment. I am however part of our church security team. During each service one person is an active security and passive security. And we have gone over several times what the active and passive security member would/will do if an active shooter where to attack. So i have that much training, along with some draw and fire practicing; but am always looking for more training and practice for me and my family. We would love to go thru these training exercises and scenarios for education purposes more often.

When I go to a church I like to meet with security to let them know me. I want them to know that I am a sheep dog, and I am there for them to help support them.
I have one issue with your training. . .I am working with a church security team and in my estimation there would be absolutely NO umbrellas allowed into the sanctuary. Granted there would be other methods for some "wacko" to bring weapons into the scene but bringing extraneous items would be one way to stop some of what could happen. As far as . . . I don't understand, I can't believe and oh my what is happening are true to the word. Chaos is something to always look for be vigilant, be observant. Bottom line any type of awareness training can't hurt, other than the umbrellas GOOD VIDEO. Fault me if I'm wrong I CAN take criticism. Learning is always valuable.
It sure is, Tom!! I am glad your church is taking precautions to stop threats before they even enter the building! Thank you for the kind words and feedback and you are correct being aware and getting training is what's most important!! :)
I agree. Our church has umbrella stands in our small vestibule, although it isn't enforced. Probably should be, though. You don't need your drippy umbrella at your pew.
Valuable training opportunity, very realistic…Nice job Kevin! Your security officer needs to work on improving the grip on his pistol. Also needs to learn to do reloads higher up in his work space. This would allow him to keep his eyes on the threat while reloading his weapon. Very important to never lose visual contact with the threat, if at all possible, once it has been established. It’s become apparent to me over the years that many police officers from around the country would benefit greatly from more weapons training. But as many departments are under extreme budget constraints, the officers must take it upon themselves to seek it out. Train would also teach your security personnel to get of the “X” while doing his reload. If not shooting, he should have been moving towards cover or possibly closing distance to the threat
Fantastic video series. You are SPOT ON about having "greeters" AKA 'screeners' in the parking lot. They also need communication back to the ushers/security team in case there's an emergency and the doors need to be shut (and secured). Stop the problem before it gets to the large group of helpless people inside the building. But- my first thought about the positions of the 3-man team was CROSSFIRE. Looks like a big chance of friendly fire. Would it be better to have the 3 start out loser together on the same side of the room, and then spread out from there and move and shoot as needed? It seems a shame it's come to this, but it's far better to be proactive and have this information out there and available to everyone. And for that I thank you.
That is definitely something to consider, Against the Modern World, we are responsible for every round that goes down range. The idea of having a spread out team is to help build layered security. By having them positioned this way, the security officer that is closest to the threat can engage while the others can either help cover the distance to assist or direct the congregation on where to go.
@@USCCAOfficial I understand the concept, I just think it might be better to have everyone start near each other and then spread out from there. Similar to flooding a room/running the walls. Just my 2 cents. Thanks again for the videos!
We do appreciate your input on this, Against the Modern World! Whatever works best for your team, is what is good! Thank you for your support and kind words! :)
@@USCCAOfficial Y'all are good folks and I genuinely appreciate what you're doing. I was just offering a bit of (hopefully) constructive criticism. No offense intended or take. :) BTW- I've been incorporating (and promoting) more first aid gear, and trauma and training in my activities. Some basic training along with some tourniquets and a bunch of gauze could probably save a lot of live. ("Skinny Medic" here on YT has a lot of easy to understand, down to earth videos from an experienced EMT) Best wishes to you and yours.
If you are defending you have to push closing distance and putting rounds on target. Noone wants to charge an ar but you giving ground on a rifle doesnt help u and only ensures your handgun accuracy is dropping by the foot
Happy to hear it, Kevin! We believe layered security helps defense against multiple different scenarios, Will you be attending our Live Training event?
Be aware as well. What was the weather? Was it raining ? Was it warm . A large umbrella on a sunny day and a trench coat when it is hot, are signals they could be concealing weapons, probably long guns
Next time throw a surprise party in the mix a 2nd armed good guy that might try to engage the shooter to throw off the team. See if they accidentally engage the wrong person
Every church in America needs to know this we must be prepared we hope it never happens but our times have changed and we must be ready this is only the beginning it will get worse according to the Bible
I have a question. Why does the security guy at the front move across and position himself near the only exit at the front? It seems to me that anyone who is shooting at the gunman will draw his fire. By positioning himself close to the only exit, the security guy, it seems, would draw fire toward the innocents heading for that exit. It seems like he should have moved the other way, to draw fire away from those who were trying to escape. Maybe I'm wrong.
What was the equipment used for this scenario? We have a church response team and would like to make investments to get equipment to practice. Please help. Thank you!
Imagine if God forbid the same scenario happens in a Mosque, no one will survive because Muslims don't sit on chairs nor do they think of their safety! May God protect every worshiper. Amen
Lots of people had umbrellas in church. They all but one person had their umbrellas tied closed shut. I would be most suspicious of the one who did not have his tied closed shut and it was loose fitting. Also, I am afraid of getting accidently mistaken for a bad guy and getting shot while I am just simply defending myself (and others) from the bad guy. The Bible says that in the last days perilous times would come. Things are getting so bad that nobody can feel safe out in public.
Love watching this video. Job well done. I think in my humble opinion is that we need to size the weapon for the situation. The church looks large and being only one protection officer on duty the firearms I would have elected to use that day would be either a AR pistol with butt plate so I can engage with better stability. If the AR pistol wasn’t an option I would switch to a 5 inch pistol either the XD 9 tactical or the Glock 17. These two pistols are heavier to allow for better stability as I close into the shooter. The 5 inch barrel will deliver a more stabilized bullet for a longer distance shot. Another thing to consider are quick sights or red dots so that both eyes can remain open allowing you to see more and of course a zero in red dot will give you a higher chance to stop the shooter. A head shot maybe warranted if the shooter has body armor. I also notice the protection officer stored his ammo in his pocket. This delayed reload time. We know why you are their so carry magazine pouches that allows for you to reload. I assume the protection officer didn’t have body armor on which may have caused him to retreat and cover vs closing the distance. Sadly in personal protection you want the shooter to focus on you to protect others. This is why I say wear level 3+ light weight AR steel. By getting the shooters attention you allow others to continue to live.
Michael, typically the conversations we are having with church security teams is that their congregations are uncomfortable with the idea of seeing the firearms even if it was on the security officer. In this scenario, we wanted to let the officer use something very similar to what he carries on a daily basis so he gets the most out of this training.
USCCA I understand this is why as protection officer should be wearing a sports jacket to allow for multiple magazine pouches and concealment of an ar pistol. I get that they are uncomfortable but being shot or killed is no joy. The protection officer doesn’t have to look like the police in daily duty gear. Many manufacturers design such weapons to be carried concealed on oneself. The body armor I use is designed for me to wear a suit or sport jacket. We know a 3 inch barrel is design for more up close. The 4 inch is just a basic contender for that shot as one closing in on the shooter while the 5 inch is a better option. I understand what your all are doing and I support it; just sharing!

Question for anyone if you see this . I’m newer to going to church and I do have a concealed carry permit but I never have brought my pistol in out of respect as weird as that sounds . But I worry if there was a shooter I wouldn’t be able to do a thing . Should I carry and just not say anything , or would it be better to ask the pastor privately if it’s ok to carry ? I’m younger (27) and only been going for a couple months so I don’t want to really have that conversation lol
To change from distancing to advancing is really calling hell marry and hoping the outcome works in your favor, had that been a reel rifle that umbrella would have not been a factor. Did anybody notice the umbrella not shred up as he was shooting.
It is a very scary world we live in, Alan. We are doing our best to give those who want to protect there House of Worship a way to come up with a plan of action and show them how it looks when put to the test.
I’m shocked church security teams did not learn more from the west freeway church incident. They lost two people despite preparation and awareness, yet showed how critical preparedness is to minimize damage. (1) they trained as a team and had a team in place (2) they have communications and used intelligence, having identified the threat by the time he entered and sharing that info across team. (3) having identified shooter as a potential threat they preposition to have eyes on and be within shooting range. Could have been a bit better if they’d had a strong young man immediately adjacent with ability to tackle when shooter started to pull out his shotgun - but it looked like congregation is primarily elderly. (4) jack put a single round into perps head, having to be super careful of intervening innocents. Where their defense shown was in depth of preparation. Had Jack not been there, not been in position, or simply missed, there were numerous other defenders closing range with pistols drawn.
What simulation ammo are you utilizing in these scenarios? Are these available for private purchase to use for training scenarios? Also, how can someone get involved in one of your scenarios to put their skills to the test?
These are done using the "StressVest" you can check it out here: stressvest.com/ The ammo is UTM or Ultimate Training Munitions, and it is coming out of a custom handgun that doesn't shoot projectiles, and instead actives a laser system, which is how hits are registered on a vest. You can also see the ammo here: utmworldwide.com/
What’s your view on the use of laser sights, specifically bright green lasers that are more visible than red during such a response? Since it happens so fast is it effective in the chaos or does it just make a target out of you for the bad guy?
That would be a tough question, 331drummer. Typically in a high-stress situation like this, you automatically focus in on the threat. Do you train with your laser?
Yes on paper targets but I always wonder about a real world defensive scenario and whether it would be helpful or a distraction of focus or perhaps even a give away of location especially in the dark
@@331drummer, that is definitely something to consider. You have to be careful with lasers because they do fail or run out of battery. I would suggest if you are going to carry a laser, also making sure you are training with your factory sights.
I would suggest going to a local IDPA match or similar pistol competition to test yourself and have a lot of fun doing it. Try a stage with your laser then try a stage without. See what works better for you. Searching for your dot rather than just aiming and shooting actually reduces your time to hit. If you can't hit without the laser you need more practice. Certain low light situations where you can't see your sights well might lend itself to having a laser but that is the only scenario which I can think of that might be a benefit and tell me you need better sights. I only use a laser as a training aid for newer shooters to show them how they are pulling their pistol off target before the trigger break so they can try to get better trigger control as they try to maintain that dot level during the whole trigger pull.
There are a few things wrong with this scenario. If you have a shooter come in a room Ike this, church or otherwise, everyone is not going to get down. There is always a percentage that have to see what is happening. They are the idiots that will be shot first. In our congregation of 250 there is no identified security team. But I know of at least 6 people besides me that carry.
Hey if the people in the training didn't know what exactly was going to happen do you think it would make it more intense and more realistic like if you gave the people the general people in the room four or five different scenarios of what could happen but tell them you don't know which one of them it's going to be I don't know you think psychologically maybe that would help
Touched by a 12gauge, the only people in this scenario that have any formal direction is the Police Officer. The audience only knows that something is going to happen but no one knows who the 'bad guy' is except the bad guy.

Great scenario. I'm surprised no one mentioned the guy in the trench coat. Obviously an attempt to mislead whom the attack would come from. I would like to see how this scenario plays out with armed members of the church involved in addition to the safety team member. Quick question. If there are armed members in the church, and the church already has a safety team in place, do you recommend the armed member making themselves known to the safety team?
Derek, I would recommend speaking with your security team to maybe join and if you do not prefer to join the team, I would strongly recommend letting them know that you do carry to church so that you are not mistakenly assumed as being a bad guy if you did need to present your firearm in a situation.

We had a training workshop at church. What this video highlights is something that we tend to forget - how quickly the whole scenario played out! Very good tips and reminders - as a defender you are responsible for every round that leaves the muzzle.
This is why shot placement and ammo capacity is important.
Nie reference, Ramon! It was interesting to see how many people had an eye on the gentleman with the trench coat!
I was like "oooop oop watch dusty mcduster over there...no..wait...unbrella guy on a sunny day! Check him!"
Absolutely! We must not jump to conclusions by the appearance of someone. Thank you for that comment DownSouth Ninja!
That was a good little curveball, DownSouth Ninja. Did you notice even the security officer was eyeing him up when he walked in?
USCCA yeah he sure did..it was almost hard to watch because of how real the situation seemed even though you knew it was fake.
We look forward to seeing you there, DJ!
It's interesting to see how quickly and chaotic events like this can get. It's also interesting to see each person's reaction. I too would like to know how many shots made hits and to whom. Thanks for the video! I plan to share these with my other church friends.

It would definitely make it difficult, Erika!
Incredible info. Thank you so much 🙏
Man this makes my heart race. Thankfully there's about 3 or 4 of us that carry at my church

Well this is sort of, Strange..
Thank you for your kind words, Jack! Will you be tuning in to the Live Training Training to watch the whole scenario play out?
Umbrellas on a sunny day aren't even out of the ordinary though. People like shade when it's beaming. No real way anyone could have picked that dude out, especially with trench coat on the opposite side of the room from him.

Yeah none of that” run, hide, hit him with the office stapler” crap
3:18 u telling me the guy from fallout new vegas was not carring a mini nuke?

Excellent! That actually got me upset!!
It is a very eye-opening scenario, Leonardokite!

Thank You for your videos, I am sharing them with my security team at church.
Thank you for sharing, Ronnie! Do not forget to register for the Live Event!
Good job.
Thank you for sharing, DJ! Will you be watching the whole live event?
Thumbs up Kevin

Always take at least two extra mags in accessible mag pouches.
Two guns with exchangeable mags not a bad idea.
If possible use more than a 9mm. Use 40 S&W or 357 Sig or 45 ACP.
If more than one guardian try to all have same pistol so you can use each other's mags.
Practice converging lines of fire when room is empty.
Re run shoot house shootout scenarios... at least ten times in the place to be secured.
Practice clearing the whole building in case shooter leaves main hall.

Happy to hear it, Pigpaul! :)
So in that specific scenario I saw only two options:
1) Announce gun and then play as part of the innocent just trying to find cover then draw and shoot as soon as he; looks away, points his gun elsewhere, attempts to reload or is distracted.
It sounds like you have gotten quite a bit of training, Charles!
Did you tune in to the live training event?
@@USCCAOfficial
No unfortunately not, but I am going to watch it when I get an opportunity for education purposes.

There's one thumbs down on this video. It'd be interesting to know why that person didn't like it.
You don't need your drippy umbrella at your pew.
very nice scenario , perfect simulation , but i think , obviously that it don't gonna happen , because no one is prepared to this
Valuable training opportunity, very realistic…Nice job Kevin!

We definitely think it is a good idea to have some sort of first aid or trauma training!
If you are defending you have to push closing distance and putting rounds on target. Noone wants to charge an ar but you giving ground on a rifle doesnt help u and only ensures your handgun accuracy is dropping by the foot

I'm so confused where they not blanks? We had our training a couple months ago and they were blanks.
Be aware as well. What was the weather? Was it raining ? Was it warm . A large umbrella on a sunny day and a trench coat when it is hot, are signals they could be concealing weapons, probably long guns
The bad guy was real cool
Laguna Woods shooting just happened. But this video makes an assumption churches have armed security guards, it's simply impossible.
How many others were hit?
Next time throw a surprise party in the mix a 2nd armed good guy that might try to engage the shooter to throw off the team. See if they accidentally engage the wrong person
That is definitely something to consider, Ronald. Will you be watching the whole Live event?
Yes
Every church in America needs to know this we must be prepared we hope it never happens but our times have changed and we must be ready this is only the beginning it will get worse according to the Bible
Thank you for watching, Marion! Do you know if your church has an established security team?
I have a question. Why does the security guy at the front move across and position himself near the only exit at the front? It seems to me that anyone who is shooting at the gunman will draw his fire. By positioning himself close to the only exit, the security guy, it seems, would draw fire toward the innocents heading for that exit. It seems like he should have moved the other way, to draw fire away from those who were trying to escape. Maybe I'm wrong.
So what happened to all those shots the security fired???
What was the equipment used for this scenario? We have a church response team and would like to make investments to get equipment to practice. Please help. Thank you!
Do you use air soft in the proving ground

To change from distancing to advancing is really calling hell marry and hoping the outcome works in your favor, had that been a reel rifle that umbrella would have not been a factor. Did anybody notice the umbrella not shred up as he was shooting.
so sad that there is even a video on this subject!
It is a very scary world we live in, Alan. We are doing our best to give those who want to protect there House of Worship a way to come up with a plan of action and show them how it looks when put to the test.
But very needed
Always have a weapon you are well trained on with you.
What are some of the ways you like to train, cdLady54 Marengo?
horrible grip by the cop
What simulation ammo are you utilizing in these scenarios? Are these available for private purchase to use for training scenarios? Also, how can someone get involved in one of your scenarios to put their skills to the test?
These are done using the "StressVest" you can check it out here:
stressvest.com/
The ammo is UTM or Ultimate Training Munitions, and it is coming out of a custom handgun that doesn't shoot projectiles, and instead actives a laser system, which is how hits are registered on a vest.
You can also see the ammo here:

That is some great advice, D Elias! Thank you for sharing! :)
umbrella rifle lol
Security needs to work on his marksmanship
@@USCCAOfficial I didn't catch that part that's awesome got it
@@Touched_by_a_12_gauge We were trying to keep the scenario as realistic as possible. We run this scenario and change up the variables a few times. You should attend our Live Training event to watch the whole scenario play out and hear what Kevin and Ron discuss! www.usconcealedcarry.com/offers?tID=5bd9d97736e5a
Metal detectors are the key.
Something’s wrong with the world….
Anyone else click the video because of the errors in the thumbnail? “Shooter open fires”, iron sights not flipped up, butt stock in the arm pit....
I would still not want to be on the receiving end, Dan!
