My doctor was killed taking down a church shooter. Brave man. He went hands on while unarmed. His quick actions saved the lives of others but not his own.
Friend of mine was killed in one of the first church shootings. Guy walked in late, my friend the pastor knew him. Pastor said, "hello _________" and the guy whipped out a pistol and shot him on the spot before anyone realized what was going on. Some of the elders disarmed the shooter pretty quick, though, despite there not being such a thing as a "security team" at the time.
So sorry about your lose God bless him . This is really horrible now have attacks in Christian churches in Christian countries . In Canada prime Minister Justin Trudaeu wants to bring in 500,000 Palestinians from Gaza . God help us all

There's this Evangelist here in Texas that recently had a firearm pulled on him right before service and the Evangelist delivered him from what he was going through while staring down the barrel of the gun!!! How great & powerful the word of God is cause that's all he needed!
@@garytodd5605 yea, I'm pretty sure police are taught to react differently to hostage situations and active shooters since you have the time to try and deescalate a situation where people's lives aren't immediately at risk, this'll be a similar case
As a church usher myself I can't stress enough how important it is to make sure you have ushers that are armed, but also that church members themselves are carrying, to be a force multiplier. It's good to promote a pro weapons mentality in church because actually the Bible encourages Christians to be armed. It is important that church is a social environment of fellowship. Church members should know who is a regular and who is a guest. Don't just head for the parking lot after the service, stick around and make friends with your fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. And most importantly, the ushers and soul winning team leaders should introduce themselves to the guests and preach them the gospel to get them saved before they leave the service.
No doubt. I think ushers should be armed, because All Free People should be armed. I think the Bible is clear about being armed and the use of justified force. It surprised me that so many people (Christians and non-Christians) believe that the Bible teaches pacifism... but nothing could be farther from the Truth. Pacifism is as evil and as dangerous as cowardice. It only leads to more violence and tyranny. If there was one thing the Founding Fathers hated more than violence, it was pacifism. (Everyone's a pacifist until there's an immediate threat to themselves or their family members, but then they find themselves unarmed and end up being helpless victims). To be armed is a Human Right (and a religious Right). It requires no permission or approval. If a man is unarmed, it is not because of some "law" or because some lawmakers said so, but Only because he disarms himself. It is only by his own Free Will. If a man would call his Right to bear arms a Right, but then begs permission to exercise that Right (permit) and/or he refrains from exercising the Right, because some "law" says so... then that man is a coward and a hypocrite. If you are not armed, Arm Yourself. If are a Free person and you Know it to be a Right, then Act Like It.
@@deucedeuce1572I completely agree and yet if you get caught violating one the man's many onerous and very infringing laws, regulations, permits, background checks, etc., regarding guns, ammo, etc., there will be a heavy legal price to pay.
@@thesuperioraffection4502 That's actually not even remotely as true as it's been these last several decades. With several of the recent supreme court rulings, the states really can't do much against a person carrying a firearm for self defense (who has not committed a crime with it). In recent supreme court rulings (all in the last year or so), we got... It is a RIGHT to bear arms, rifle, handgun, inside the home, outside the home (including and especially concealed). With it being a Right, we also have the Right to buy, sell or build our own firearms without any government intervention or permission. ...No FFL, no background checks, no permit, no restrictions (like the CA handgun roster for example or magazine restrictions). and also with it being a Right, serial numbers on firearms are not required and any law against unserialized guns or even guns with "obliterated serial numbers" are unconstitutional... because guns do not require serial numbers (because Rights do not require serial numbers). Then they also ruled that states cannot define what a "firearm" is. For example, NY state tried to say that guns manufactured before 1896 are firearms, but congress already passed the law that they are not. Therefore, NY's law is void. You can buy any pre-1896 handgun (many of which fire cartridges and smokeless powder) and have it delivered right to your door. (like all cap and ball handguns/rifles and muzzle loaders and black power guns). Then they ruled against banning people who have used or use marijuana from buying firearms and they have to remove that from the 4473 (and maybe will have to remove the question about all drugs). ...and then I heard the other day that they ruled that banning felons from buying/possessing firearms is also unconstitutional, so the federal government will have to stop banning felons from buying firearms and the states will not be able to pass their own laws (as far as I know). Once a person has served his time and is a Free person, his Right to bear arms is restored (as all his Rights should be). Forgive the rant. A lot of things have happened recently. Besides all that though, regardless of any possible consequences, we are to have Faith and we are to do what we KNOW is right. Just as they cannot ban us from being Christians (or if they did we would have to disobey), they cannot ban us from exercising our Right to bear arms. Many Christians have been tortured and killed for being Christians, yet the risk of that happening has not stopped them. ...and I can only imagine if the Founding Fathers were so cowardly that they refrained from founding this great nation, because there might be "heavy" consequences. There's always consequences when it comes to fighting evil/tyranny.
@@thesuperioraffection4502 Yeah. He's getting away with it, even though it was a law when he committed the crime... but I think it's an unjust "law". Would be hypocritical for me to know it's an unjust "law", but to then wish for him to be convicted/punished for it. It just shouldn't exist. "He that would make his own liberty secure, must guard even his enemy from oppression; for if he violates this duty, he establishes a precedent that will reach to himself."-Thomas Paine (I'm sure we all hate to see people charged with crimes though... but then see politicians and a special class of people get away with the same crimes. That's not right... and I hope it serves to get other people out of trouble in the future.)
Notice how when it's a drill EVERYONE has their head on a swivel anticipating something is about to happen? Well in real life people have no clue about their surroundings. Situational awareness is out the window. Everyone needs to pay attention at what is going on around them AT ALL TIMES.
I found the suggestion that the congregation was taught to drop and get out of the line of sight, allowing the security team to do their job. I just sent your video to my husband who’s on our church security team and I thank you very much for this video.
Everybody in this situation knew this was not a real shootout. In the event of a real shootout panic would set in and people would be running everywhere after they got over the initial shock
@@longgone9869Precisely why the entire congregation be well versed and trained for a response, without tipping your entire response plan to potential threats. Exposure to these scenarios conditions against panic when the real incident happens.
The bigger the crowd the worse the scenario however a church must train . Anyone that doesn't hit the floor after the shooting starts will be dead or wounded that's a fact so members must train themselves to take appropriate action getting your family down for cover and hopefully the security team are well equipped and trained, no matter what it's going to be a bad day 🙏
Okay does your husband actually have so-called training not just little UA-cam tutorial??? Of course you're going to say yes but does he actually in the rest your team or just a bunch of Yahoo want to be men with guns call themselves "SECURITY"
The one thing I noticed is that there is one lone security guy and wearing a shirt labeled security. In my mind, it's making him a target that a bad guy would target and kill first and if no one else in the congregation is armed the gunman is allowed to continue unopposed and then it becomes a slaughter from there on.
I certainly understand your point. Well taken and understood. Being a grey man is best in order to not be a target. My personal opinion… •If a Security shirt is worn, then there definitely needs to be multiple security personnel on the premises. Yes, you show yourself as a target with that “Security” label on your back, but you also need fellow good-guy/gal carriers to identify you as well. And if you take the job as a carrying security guard, well then you know the possible scenarios you could be involved in. If visitors to a church have a CCW and are properly trained, then they will most likely (and consistently) have situational awareness and will be look to identify security personnel anywhere and everywhere they go. On the flip side of the Security shirt, I would say that at the very least a Security name tag should still be worn. Regular visitors to the church will get to know who is and isn’t security personnel and as I mentioned before, good-guy/gal carriers will most likely look to identify who security is and a Security name tag helps. (Sorry for the long winded response).
As an active church security team member the last thing I want is to have someone intending to do harm be able to identify me by a shirt. All of our security team looks like a simple visitor to the church. One thing the local LEOs have suggested is that we have something like a badge on a Chan that we can pull out from inside our shirts to identify us to whatever PD responds if we do have an incident. Another suggestion is to possibly have one or two females in the congregation. What better secret weapon than a weapons competent woman ready to act?
@@healthywealthywise The security here have it on a keychain, necklace, or like an old school pocket watch to show police. A lot of times a unmarked car will sit in the lot to keep watch, though we also have police off duty with their family there too who always carry. Our community also knows everyone else so when a stranger comes in people notice, usually a friend of someone but when it is a person alone people keep an eye on them.
There are people who have lived through severe abuse. They are hyper sensitive to the villain. They pick up on behavior of people. They are good early warning types.
Except there were about a dozen other people carrying umbrellas in the sanctuary. Anyone who carried one into our church would get a second look, for sure.
@@Vercingetorix504it would be nice to dream but have to live in reality. A co-worker told me you can run from poop hitting the fan and hope the room smells better later or you can face the poop and learn to deal it with.
Things about learning from scenarios is yes you can learn a lot but you have to keep practicing and learning and it become second nature to actually be good at it.
Thank you so much for doing this. This is some thing that I think a lot of churches don’t really understand can actually happen. Not that we want any of this to happen, of course but it’s always important to be prepared so that those in our congregation can stay safe. I hope mini church security teams will be able to benefit from this.
As a teacher, every school board member needs to participate in similar scenarios. They can figure out how to survive with no weapons. I think it would teach a great lesson on casualties and the need to arm staff members.

We’re a small Church with usually about 100 folks turning up every Sunday. I’m in charge of the Security Team with my training. We allow any Active Member to CCW if that’s their preference, but we have them sign a form that they may be and give permission, however there are 4 of us, not including Pastor who carry’s as well, that form the team. We each have individual responsibilities for a certain area. We don’t wear anything more than soft concealable armor at most. I just look a little fatter than I am. I train them 2-4x a year depending on weather on the range and for sure 4x a year on a mat. They’re the only three that I train to disarm someone as they all have at least some martial arts training. We have 2x a year where the entire Church over 18 can come to an open mat session and invariably the first question I get asked is to train a disarm. No. If you don’t have some experience you’ll get in the way and/or get get yourself killed. If you have some experience I’ll arrange a private session to evaluate. I’m the quickest/most athletic and we have our Bible School and Nursery in the basement. So that’s my primary job. It’s understood that any threat anywhere is all of our jobs but I can “ride the rail” and be down there in under 5 seconds from my seat, and we all have assigned seats based on our primary responsibilities. We joke, a little that there’ll be no “31 people shot” headlines about our Church. However there may be “1 person shot 31 times”. We’re all country boys that can shoot and I’m the smallest even though the most trained in martial arts. Those big boys wear me out in 4 hours mat time, 😂. Even as a fifth degree, man practicing with guys that are all 240-270 will torch you. Especially since after a couple years they all know enough BJJ to wear me out. They all practice some on their own too so it’s not like I’m some great instructor. I mainly want to know their skill level. Well they’re all big and strong and carry guns. Works for me. Pastor asks us to volunteer to guard any sketchy places for women’s studies and events. No problem. He trains with us too, just shooting though, however he’s getting in shape some and wants to take part in mat sessions this year. God Bless all!
I feel super blessed and safe at my church. We have a couple members who are officers and carry, and we just hired an off duty officer in uniform and with a cruiser parked out front
This was awesome! I'm part of my church security team and will pass this along to them. We always have at least two if not as many as five security in the building during service.
Cover and concealment are two different things. Cover will stop rounds. Concealment obstructs visibility. There is a lot of concealment in a church but cover is limited. This kind of training is a must. There should be a security team and there should be trained members who act as backup and know how to follow orders from the security team.
I remember when we had a man punch our pastor at the alter. (Search Victory pastor gets punched). He has since passed away, but after that attack we had a deputy on sight from then on and now a full department that trains these scenarios. I was the worship pastor for another church and I usually played keys behind the pastor through the message. I was typically on stage from countdown to dismissal. I had a view of everything so our off duty officer trained me and some others in active shooter scenarios. If I saw something I would immediately yell into my hot mic “GET DOWN, GUN IN THE NORTH (or south) DOOR!” That would alert the entire security team where to go. At the same time I had a cover point to retreat to and draw if needed. I had the advantage of elevation and a clear shot over heads as well. We didn’t play.
In our small church (65 or so) we have several that conceal carry and are posted at entry points for the building and places with optimal line of sight. We also have cameras in the building and outside with someone monitoring them. I, as the Pastor also carry a firearm in the pulpit (I figure I have the best view in the house).
“He had a rifle so I thought I’d get some distance.” Great decision making there. He has a rifle capable of both power and accuracy over 300m, you have a pistol that most people can’t shoot accurately beyond 30m and you want to create distance…. You literally helped the shooter out. This church must be in California.
@@eeddsdsd977 uhh, no, YOU can’t hit anything outside of 15m like that. I could do it easily, it’s called point shooting. Trust me when I tell you I’m not the only one capable of this by any stretch of orwells imagination. But nice try dude. Did you take your meds today?
This is what training and practice are for. Those of us who carry to protect others as well as ourselves, should be constantly training and practicing, learning the best tactical ways to deal with threats. That is our JOB and RESPONSIBILITY. it will be up to US to act, therefore we must!!!
My family has been going to a new church for the past year now and she recently got a job working there, and this church is pretty massive they have about I'd say 1,000 people over the weekend. And when she was hired she met 6 people who were concealed carrying for this very reason, while she is not allowed to identify these people, it is nice knowing they're taking the steps to prevent something like this.
I'm so thankful for our security team which is headed up by a 'former' member of the U.S. military. One of the team comes in before every service begins and walks around the building checking for anything set up outside - in and around landscaping, etc. He and another man check all the rooms (especially if they are dark) and do a thorough walk-through. Unfortunately, in the state our church is in, it is illegal to carry a gun onto church grounds. Our security team members have each made a personal decision in that area to ensure the safety of our members. We have communication systems in place between the security team, the pastor, and the individual classrooms. More than 50 members of our church have been trained in CPR and using an AED with several of us planning to dive deeper in trama response soon. Our medical team is headed by an experienced nurse in our church.
Speaking from experience, it may be part of the problem that he just cannot get the volunteers to help cover more of the sanctuary. I am leading a team in a church close in size (guesstimate from the sanctuary setting) and I only have 5 people counting myself to cover every service going on. You can’t be at every service. We shoot for 2 scheduled on at a time right now and if anyone else from the team is attending that specific service it’s a bonus.
_"One guy just can't do it alone."_ Thank you! Yes, exactly! Please tell that to my idiot boss at my 3rd shift job. Heck, if anything goes off there, I'm gone! Exit Stage Left, immediately! Though where I work, and WHEN I work, I'm protecting property. So, no shame in beating feet out of there.
You should have security sitting all the way in the back. That way any bad guy will have to turn around to face security and security will or should have the advantage
Security should have a security room, that has ballistic resistant walls and doors, with a roll down steel door made of ballistic steel plates that has ports for rifle and pisto barrel. The thought of a church having to have what is essentially a pill box is disturbing. Not being from the U.S. I don't think there is a firearms problem, as I am 100% pro gun, but there is a violence and mental issue problem. That's what needs to be addressed. Praying for the wonderful American people.
@@f1point2 Christians never have and never will define right and wrong based on what Jesus would do. That's a very sunday school level understanding of things. We are not limited in action to only things Jesus would have done, nor are we prohibited from doing things he never would have done. Jesus would have never eaten pork, is that wrong too? Also, who are you to say Jesus would never do that? Jesus explicitly tells his followers that they will one day need their swords. The greek term used there is a particular type of sword that would have served as a personal defense weapon. There are other words for different types of sword (same is true in English ) and not all swords have the same purpose. They were not told to take up the weapon of a soldier (though this does not mean they weren't permitted to), they were told to take up personal defense weapons in the most literal sense possible. Look, I never expect anyone, Christian or otherwise, to get Christian theology right all the time. I do however expect people, Christian or otherwise, to know what they are talking about before they act like some kind of authority on the religion. Just because your bumper sticker theology says something does not make it true, nor does it make it something you should pretend is actually part of the Christian faith.
If I may add one point that is often over looked by churches today, no matter the denomination. We don't actively minister to our first responders. Sure some may have a "special service" once in a while and for most officers or firemen that's the last they hear from a local church. You have a great asset who are trained and well equipped but there at home or at somewhere else outside of the church walls because no one went to them.
Talk to whoever is in charge of your church security team and suggest some type of badge on a chain, like some detectives wear, to pull out in the event of an incident.
@@funnyfarmdad9997 At the present, I'm only visiting various churches since my previous church decided to remove the Pastor and so 80%+ of the congregation left, myself included. I’m sort of surprised they didn’t talk about shot selection in the first scenario. It was a chaotic scenario, and the spray-n-pray approach doesn’t work in a room full of civilians. Went through two magazines and didn’t even hit the shooter.
We have a few guys who watch the doors that are armed. But I've also gone over this scenario multiple times in my head during the sermon. So we're good.
Just something else to point out about the shooter with the umbrella…if you notice the weather outside, it’s sunny. So for him to be carrying an umbrella on a sunny day would’ve definitely raised suspicions for me
Usher/guard shoots right handed with his left eye. Took me about a thousand rounds to make the switch to shooting left handed, because I also am left eye dominant. So glad I did. I actually can shoot ambidextrously now. Completely comfortable with either way. It is awesome for shooting from vertical cover which may force me to either side.
I'm a 67-year-old woman and I've been carrying a 9mm for several years. I don't think anyone knows that I carry a gun. I know how to shoot and I'm pretty good with my aim. I certainly agree that he needed to close the distance. I would have added an explanation to that. When you open the distance because he has the rifle and you have a handgun, you are actually giving the edge to him. You have put yourself in a position where it is harder to hit your target, while he still has the advantage of the long gun.
I am a member of our church security team and we take active shooter training from an expert for an hour every Saturday morning. We have 3 members of security on duty for every church event (posted in the parking lot and grounds, building lobby, and sanctuary) and in contact by radio (just as you said in the comments to scenario #1), as well as an individual watching security cameras - with the intent of addressing a potential threat at the earliest point possible (ideally outside), especially with suspicious behavior or clothing like trench coats, etc. I thought scenario # 2 was well executed with quick action. I did notice that the security guy was carrying open, which allowed him a quick draw in that scenario, but I am assuming most church security carries concealed, which may require hands-on if you're that close and don't have time to draw from concealment (which also shows the benefit of self-defense training for security personnel). The videos are great, but in my opinion the ideal is to dry fire train frequently and consistently with tactical methods (especially gun manipulations like clearing jams and mag changes) in as many scenarios as possible, followed up by periodic live fire at a range using the same tactics.
My church always has a security person in the lobby and most likely a couple more in the sanctuary during service. The first set of doors directly from the lobby get closed and are locked during service and the side doors that enter from the hallway are unlocked. Having someone in the lobby can keep an eye out for anyone suspicous.
We have a security team at our church along with cameras inside and outside the church.. We lock all doors usually about 6 minutes after service starts and if someone comes in late we can see them pulling up on camera and let them in.. I want go into details on how we operate though.. Wish we could get some training like this even though most of us are military it never hurts to keep up the training..And we have many armed as well.
Why do you train security to sit up front? Security sitting towards back can reposition towards potential threat from behind if needed and is not in the shooters view or line of sight. Security can engage shooter from behind or approach someone walking towards front of church from side or behind them.
On one hand, I am glad to see this content to help other church security teams - and congregations. But on the other, what a sad state of affairs this country has devolved to.
As someone who started and ran a successful church security team, one thing to keep in mind. Just because someone is a police officer doesn't mean they're a good shot or highly trained. I assume the system they used recorded shots? He unloaded 2 mags on 1st guy and he didn't go down. He also squints or closes his right eye when shooting. He may be right hand left dominant?
This is excellent training for anyone who works church security and for the other members! After watching a few of these training scenarios in the past and seeing one of the "real" scenarios (when the guy shot up a Muslim church while wearing a GoPro) I always wonder how different the training would be if there were more people in the auditorium. Getting shots on target is much more crucial when the auditorium is close to capacity.
It was quite distressing that the security person unloaded an entire magazine and didn’t hit his target. Reloaded and continued to miss. Security training in accuracy at the range should be critical. Stop the threat as quickly as possible.
We have a small congregation. I am the security. Military vet, retired firefighter and former federal firearms dealer. Well trained and practiced. I taught our pastor a certain hand movement if he sees something not right behind us. That signal will get me moving and ready.
Saw the video my opinion on a video from security for the church. If there is security in the church and you have a lot of members, so security should be always aware of the members that entered the building and who are the members and who are visitors, and before entering the church, any visitors coming in to visit, they should check their bags. And whatever they're carrying before entering the church. Number two, if all the members are ready in the church to start the service. And somebody's running late. There should be always a security officer at the door knowing the member of the church to let him in, but the door of the church will be always locked in secure. Knowing that they have cameras in the church. They could be aware who's going to come into the church and if security. Find something suspicious, then you call the main police department where you live to come. And check out the people that want to come into the church that you don't know who they are, and what is theirn tensions. That's my opinion on this video. God bless you all and be safe
Not everyone is capable to resist. When the agressor did relaod that was the opportunity to hit him hard with a tackle or toss a chair at him. As well that woman could be an accomplice purposefully causing a distraction. This is wonderful training. The congregation did well and the gentleman was smart to runout with his baby. Escape is your best option if possible, don't remain static.
Nehemiah 4:9 "And we prayed to our God and set a guard as a protection against them day and night." Rabbi Dumont: thank you all for reminding us just how quickly it not only hits the fan, but the fan can be dead. We've had two incidents in our shul, in the last year, one 3 weeks ago. No injuries, subject removed. But even as former military and LE swat, getting caught with your pants down is not an option.
Screening should take place in the parking lot, second screen at the door. Subject should have been stopped before entering the church. Close as fast as possible on the threat regardless of weapon type.
I am trained and don't need a permit here in Montana. My only concern is that one day I might not be carrying for some reason and this type of event will happen. I continue to remind myself that anything can happen at any time. This is not church related, but a few weeks ago at a store nearby a man parked in the handicapped space (I don't know the details on that) and another man took objection to it. They got into an argument and the one who objected rammed his metal basket into the man's vehicle. Then he punched him. The man in the vehicle pulled a pistol and shot him. Wounding him. The shooter's picture was in the paper wearing an orange jump suit at the county jail. He was charged with assault and has a hearing in a few months. I know you can buy insurance to cover legal bills if you are charged, and I think anyone carrying should look into it.
This happened at a church in west Fort Worth, Texas a few years ago. An armed man entered the back of the sanctuary, walked forward along the left side of the pews and passing an armed worshiper. This many pulled out a gun and took out the intruder in no time.
First thing security doesn't get to sit Second security doesn't sit or stand at front of church unless you have enough at back of church security must always be thinking tactical This applies to any public event
I attend church regularly and the apparent lack of security has always baffled me. I say lack as maybe there is plain clothed. Let's say there is plenty of plain clothed security. It still baffles me that they haven't engaged with the congregation about their involvement. Either how to act or where to go. For those congregants they are armed, it would make sense to involve them.
I’d say it is a fine balance of including other armed partitioners and divulging your entire response capability. In my congregation, everybody knew who the armed cops are/were and left things to us.
That’s probably the most swearing that church has heard. But as a Director of Operations for my church, we are looking at what we need to do in this situation.
Not only do we have off duty police that attend, our security team as well as countless church goers are CCing. If someone comes into our church with bad intentions, they are unlikely to leave unscathed.
Let’s just check that they all understand line of sight safety and practice their take down accordingly. All you need are multiple people firing from multiple directions to cause significant injury.
Absolutely, which is why we have regular security meetings to go over active shooter scenarios. It's a must, otherwise things could go sideways in a hurry.@@Garden366

At my church, we have been instructed to hit the floor during an incident. We have probably 4-5 active and retired law enforcement individuals strategically seated around the congregation. At least one of themis connected by radio with the outside security team ... one or two law enforcement members at the front entrance and two volunteers at the entrance to the parking lot. I used to go to Phoenix First Assembly of God that was then Pastored by Tommy Barnett. There were a couple of times mostly during productions where a man tried to drive his vehicle through the main sanctuary doors. I was friends with a husband and wife who carried concealed. He was an usher and she sat towards the front. Back then Ushers were at the end of thesections. Then Ushers were moved to points near the front of the platform where it was hopeful that they would intercept someone. To my knowledge no ones except my friends husband was ushering while armed. The church found out that this couple carried concealed, and they were quietly forced out. There were uniformed but off duty cops present, but after the offering was taken the cops left with the Ushers to escort the money to the church safe. I don't know what the policy is now, but back then they were encouraged to gently prevent people from making an attempt.

@@deucedeuce1572 Didn't Hunter get pinched for lying about drug use on the gun purchase form?
@@thesuperioraffection4502 Yeah. He's getting away with it, even though it was a law when he committed the crime... but I think it's an unjust "law". Would be hypocritical for me to know it's an unjust "law", but to then wish for him to be convicted/punished for it. It just shouldn't exist.
"He that would make his own liberty secure, must guard even his enemy from oppression; for if he violates this duty, he establishes a precedent that will reach to himself."-Thomas Paine

Notice how when it's a drill EVERYONE has their head on a swivel anticipating something is about to happen? Well in real life people have no clue about their surroundings. Situational awareness is out the window. Everyone needs to pay attention at what is going on around them AT ALL TIMES.
Martial arts training taught me that. Also how quickly it fades if you don’t train
Anyone that doesn't hit the floor after the shooting starts will be dead or wounded that's a fact so members must train themselves to take appropriate action getting your family down for cover and hopefully the security team are well equipped and trained, no matter what it's going to be a bad day 🙏
What happens if there are multiple bad guys with guns? Seeing this more and more
Okay does your husband actually have so-called training not just little UA-cam tutorial??? Of course you're going to say yes but does he actually in the rest your team or just a bunch of Yahoo want to be men with guns call themselves "SECURITY"
The one thing I noticed is that there is one lone security guy and wearing a shirt labeled security. In my mind, it's making him a target that a bad guy would target and kill first and if no one else in the congregation is armed the gunman is allowed to continue unopposed and then it becomes a slaughter from there on.
I think that’s a training artifact. I doubt he actually wears a security shirt on Sunday
I certainly understand your point. Well taken and understood. Being a grey man is best in order to not be a target. My personal opinion…
•If a Security shirt is worn, then there definitely needs to be multiple security personnel on the premises.

That was very good, it showed us a lot about what goes on in a church situation when you get the threat
That is wonderful training!!! Keep them informed, keep them prepared. Love it.
God Bless all!
very informative and educational. most people do need more training, but these videos can help people understand why and what to look for.

If I saw something I would immediately yell into my hot mic “GET DOWN, GUN IN THE NORTH (or south) DOOR!”
That would alert the entire security team where to go. At the same time I had a cover point to retreat to and draw if needed. I had the advantage of elevation and a clear shot over heads as well.
We didn’t play.
I never thought of this and this is great. And will show this to my pastor. Thank you.
Thanks so much, USCCA, for putting this live training scenario together. Very helpful!
This was great to watch and need more churches to get involved!
"we shoot for 2 scheduled..." I see what you did there...

Excellent video! Thank you for this content.

Wow!! Outstanding drills or scenarios. The 1st one the security guy got so many shots off you would think he would had taken down the shooter.
@@scottmackey4182 like Wyatt Earp said, it's better to take your time and hit the target than be fast, miss and die...or something like that.
Yes! Wow. Thanks.
Nehemiah 4:9 "And we prayed to our God and set a guard as a protection against them day and night." Grateful to be a part of a church that takes security seriously and trains on a regular basis. 1 Peter 5:8 "Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour."
Rabbi Dumont: thank you all for reminding us just how quickly it not only hits the fan, but the fan can be dead. We've had two incidents in our shul, in the last year, one 3 weeks ago. No injuries, subject removed. But even as former military and LE swat, getting caught with your pants down is not an option.
During the beginning of the exercise, I’m wonder who’s the shooter.
Then in comes a guy dressed like the punisher 😂
Sad world we live in. That we have to think that we could be shot at school or churches.
In a small church where we have two to three of us who carry, where are the best locations for us to sit in the sanctuary?
I’m thinking at least one or two in the back of the church ; to observe the entire congregation ?
Have the local Sharrif come for a visit and give advice.
That trench coat is wicked!
I want one. 😂 👍
Unless you are The Penguin, your umbrella is concealment NOT cover.🐧
I’m Canadian, so when I saw this I though it was a joke. But now I’m just really confused and concerned for the United States.
I wish we had gun rights.
At first I also was wondering if it was a joke.
Please tell me someone explained to the lady deploying the umbrella for "cover " was a horrible idea!
This happened at a church in west Fort Worth, Texas a few years ago.
An armed man entered the back of the sanctuary, walked forward along the left side of the pews and passing an armed worshiper. This many pulled out a gun and took out the intruder in no time.
Ah, the old AR in the umbrella trick.
First thing security doesn't get to sit
Second security doesn't sit or stand at front of church unless you have enough at back of church security must always be thinking tactical
This applies to any public event
I attend church regularly and the apparent lack of security has always baffled me. I say lack as maybe there is plain clothed.
Let's say there is plenty of plain clothed security. It still baffles me that they haven't engaged with the congregation about their involvement. Either how to act or where to go. For those congregants they are armed, it would make sense to involve them.
I’d say it is a fine balance of including other armed partitioners and divulging your entire response capability. In my congregation, everybody knew who the armed cops are/were and left things to us.
Looks may be deceiving... no guns or officers visible at our church, but it’s well guarded.
That’s probably the most swearing that church has heard. But as a Director of Operations for my church, we are looking at what we need to do in this situation.
I am already a USCCA member how can i get this kind of senario training at my church? who so i need to contact? please help!
Yeah that umbrella will save you. 😂
Good training.
The Word of God is your ultimate Weapon.
No physical weapons as such are needed or necessary.
You have to look for threats everywhere... if you see one you have to get behind that individual... if he starts shooting with a rifle distance is your enemy..because you have a pistol 🔫 you want to be close never move in a straight line... and if an individual is actively shooting and you aren't dead You HAVE TO GET HIM WHEN HE RELOADS..
The umbrella gave that man away. That’s what I noticed. The umbrella was not fully closed, telling me he has something in there..
Excelent video thx u
Thank you for your support! What were some of your biggest takeaways?
Where and what is some good training equipment to buy such as those vest?
At my church, we have been instructed to hit the floor during an incident. We have probably 4-5 active and retired law enforcement individuals strategically seated around the congregation. At least one of themis connected by radio with the outside security team ... one or two law enforcement members at the front entrance and two volunteers at the entrance to the parking lot. As we have a tightknit community, the parking lot crew can pass along notice that someone new has arrived on the property.
What makes you think that someone new is going to go postal at your church?
@@CrinkledPankerSociety There have been threats made in the past. We're a conservative church in a very blue-state university town. Sometimes caution is called for.
@@JonJaeden You're afraid of college students?
@@CrinkledPankerSociety Afraid? No. Why does protecting congregants in the face of threats and attacks on churches bother you?
@@JonJaeden Who is threatening and attacking your church?
Sad time's we are in when the house of God isn't safe to be in. But in truth a lot of church's now day's are not a church God is allowed to be at. That's even sadde then having a shooter In it.
Good point.
9:15 When you dont prepare your sermon that well and you have to add more words to fill in your thinking hahahaha 😂😂
