Just getting started on watching your videos as a newcomer to your channel - now that I've seen this one, I have to watch your house tour/renovation ones next because this house was such a treasure to find, I can't wait to see what you do with it. The views are STUNNING and both the interior and exterior have such potential I wish it was mine - I find myself itching to get started on projects immediately! The one thing I found absolutely hilarious is that husbands are husbands wherever you go... you have barely gotten started on this house and already he's got the home theatre up and running! 😂😂😂 I can tell from what you are pointing out that in time there will be substantial changes so walls may disappear and room sizes change, I can't wait to get to the next video!

I love a project, but yes, it does feel a bit never-ending! When we moved in, we said 'ten year plan to finish it' and I think we'll be pretty much spot on. By which time, we'll need to start all over again!!! x
Thanks for the tour of your home. I love seeing other people's houses because it gives me ideas of what I can do to my own house. Lately I have been thinking that perhaps an appropriate solution might be a stick of dynamite. No, just kidding but we bought this house in 1980 and while we have done a lot to it in the past 40 years I still sort of feel like my house is stuck in the 80's. Your home is lovely and if anyone has a problem with your giving us a tour that is their problem...not yours. Just ignore them.

I understand completely your back story ours is similar, we moved many times , renovating, then renting out the house ,now we live in our lovely forever home . I refuse to move again lol . It was back breaking work and I worried a lot . But it was so worth it . Your house is beautiful.

Love the updated video . Your remodels are great. BUT...what about the tequila bar I was so excited for? 😁 we are a lot like you. Work hard long hours, the work on house ourselves. Lucky to have a gorgeous large home with breathtaking Mountain View’s. Love my home. Sadly we moved last weekend to a tiny old house with a graveyard view, while we build a 1 story more reasonably sized house that is not on the mountain to deal with snow and ice and step curves. Our boys grew up and with the 2 of us just made sense. Cried hysterically leaving the home full of memories but time for new ones with grand kids. I love watching you. You are so relatable and down to earth. Please keep updating your remodel videos
Hi Lisa - funnily enough I was thinking earlier this week that I need to do an update house tour video. The tequila bar is still going to happen but unfortunately the shed that was going to be transformed had to be pulled down because some of the panels were rotten. So we need to find a new building and we haven't quite decided whether to go big or small yet. It's another thing on the endless list of decisions! Hope your build goes smoothly. :)

Loved it.... I think I'd love a cinema room more than anything! What a fantastic job Ashley has done throughout your home. I love the spare room with the Orla Kiely wallpaper, that green is one of my fave colours. I could go on and on about everything I like but I'd best not, but just to say the paintings in the lounge are gorgeous! I'm so nosy, any housey prog and I'm there so yes, loved this vid :)

What a nice light and airy home. Very spacious and welcoming.I really enjoyed the tour.Ashley seems quite the handyman.Love that wine cellar! I couldn´t believe your tiles in the little bathroom ,the wall with the big white mirror, next to the cinema room (lucky you)....I have the same ones here in Germany. Beautiful views.Can´t wait to get to my little cottage in Brixham....soon,and be a spit away from the sea. Your hair looks great.,love the highlights. By the way,after watching another video of yours I found,ordered and recieved the Revolution Base ! Eyeshadow.I found it on the German Amazon and they seem to have plenty in stock,so thanks for that tip Caroline, am very pleased with it. xx

LOVE the house. Particularly love all the quirky "ship" details that make your house one of a kind. We've just made an offer on a large 1930s bungalow that needs a lot of restoration. I'm not sure if I'm excited by the possibilities or terrified by the amount of work involved. Seeing your house tour and the changes you've made has given me some hope that all will go ok 🤞. Great video, as always.

We've had it 18+ years, bought it from a cheap shop in our local town, it's very heavy, solid wood. I remember being pregnant when we bought it!

Love the tour you were destined to live here with your nautical past - the people who built it I assume they had nautical links too? I'll have to show my other half as he used to fit home cinema and automation. How is the tortoise?
The people who built it were huge fans of cruises, I think that's where the inspiration came from. Freddy is currently on the missing list, we haven't seen him since we got back from holiday, but I'm sure he'll turn up again soon - that's the trouble with free range tortoises!!

Ashley and Will LOVE the hot tub and are in it most nights in the winter. Me probably once every few weeks, but it is def good for having a conversation with each other rather than just sitting in front of the TV! x
