Finding your videos to be invaluable. I am a nursing student who studies online and have found your sessions to have helped consolidate what I have been reading in my text books.

Absolutely brilliant explanations. Your way of explaining things is very logical, makes sense, and makes everything easier to memorise. I also suggest getting deeper into details. With all the respect, Fischer

I have been an RN for 15 years. I have learned more over the last month by way of understanding physiology from you than I have in my whole career. Thank you so much. You are reinvigorating my desire to learn.

Thank you so much for your detailed, yet simplistic explanation of the clotting cascade! It has enriched my understanding beyond what I learned from the textbook.

I'm your videos extremely useful, have an exam soon based on this material and I'm finding it easy to learn from these videos. Much easier to remember things when diagrams are involved, thanks!

Great Professor Andrew, I have no words to describe how amazing are your videos.
I'm a physician student here in Brazil and your videos have been helping me a lot since I subscribed your channel at UA-cam.
I just don't know how to thank you for your awesome job. I hope you keep doing this videos for a long time.
    Thank you very much.
    Regards from Brazil.

Our online instructor for advanced pathophysiology class in our MSN program is TERRIBLE!! We are basically left to learn all the material on our own. We found your video lectures and they are VERY helpful and informative! Thanks for your hard work and for sharing these with us!!

    Prof Wolf.
Thank you so much for this fascinating video. I really enjoyed it and enjoyed the simplicity you use in the explanation. You mentioned all the serine proteases in a very smooth and nice way. However, nothing was mentioned about the cofactors (Factor V and VIII). I do understand that mentioning everything makes thing confusing. I just need to know more about the cofactros & their effects on the PT and aPTT tests.
Again. Thanks for your time & effort in making this wonderful illustration

    Mr. Andrew, THIS IS AMAAAZING!
I like the fact that you have put such a complicated process into a simple one.
I totally understand The Coagulation Cascade now.
And though this may go unnoticed by other viewers, I appreciate the colours on the black background - that made understanding the material even more engaging.
    Coodos to you Sir.

I'm very pleased with the whole explanation, thanks! it helps a lot. I just would've liked factor VIII, factor V, and Calcium to be included in order to understand their role in the cascade also.

What would happen if you added fibrin to an open wound? You said that fibrin polymers bind to themselves, clotting the blood vessel. Would somehow adding extra fibrin to an injury speed up hemostasis, or would it just mess up the whole process?

    Two comments:
    1. While not strictly required in this video, you probably want to give at least a passing mention of the role of Factor VIII as it relates to hemophilia.
    2. You might want to mention that the two cascades also go by the alternate names of contact activation and tissue factor. These are apparently becoming the preferred terminology over intrinsic / extrinsic.
