wow I just wanted to know what a thromboembolic disease was in a short video but you kept me watching the whole video, I'm in a nursing program and I wish my instructors would teach like this they are worthless they don't ever teach just go to class so they can announce what is due next... why not just send an email and let us stay home and watch this guy teach us patho. we need more people like you..

Very informative, I was diagnosed with a DVT in my right leg and I'm on blood thinners. Your video explained too me what the doctors' could not as to why or how I developed a DVT, thank you so, much.

Currently doing a case study for my nursing degree on DVT, and you would not believe how hard it is to find anything on DVT that actually shows the pathophysiology in an understandable way, and in good detail rather than an extremely basic explanation. Thank you for posting this on here. It has really helped me understand the finer details of DVT.

Have viewed this segment and your other videos on coagulation. You provided a very linear straightforward approach to this complex topic that others videos have not. As a specialty pharmacist it is always good to refresh on these topics, I plan to pass on these videos to others, thank you

many thanks for this video Andrew, it clarified a lot of details. Would be good to see one on how the lungs go about filtering the small thrombus' too :)

Thank you for your videos and the really helpful explanations! The only thing that seems not correct is that thrombomodulin doesn't block the activation of factor VII. It raises the activation speed of protein C as far as I know.

Why would you do an ultrasound of the leg after a significant stroke? Just to see if the thrombus is there? How would you treat it if you found a thrombus present in the leg?

does thromboembolism increases the systemic vascular resistance ? If so vasomotor tone plays a major role in increasing vascular resistance (in larger arteries)?

Mr Wolf, a quick question. When there is no vessel damage, what is the exact process of clot formation. Secondly, during stasis can a vessel become damaged without trauma?
