Put a cemented base where to attach your wooden post to protect from termites and easily rotten. Do not foget to apply anti termite chemical in your land where your cottage Will be constructed... Thermites can damage your house for a day..
You guys very compatible and loving to each other. Boris is such a kind man and sweet and Darlene very warm loving wife ! Ur workers also very nice poeole ans skilled !!
How proud you must be. You’re a Philippine Pioneer. Love watching your interactions with the workers. You both respect each other and share your knowledge. Stay humble and keep up the great job you’re doing with the farm.
The workers built the shelter really quickly. The gifts were very useful for the new kitchen when the house is built. The knife block is very expensive and useful, a very generous lady sending all that!
Nice gifts early Christmas Boris and Darlene, the Kubo is almost finished, better put a net on the whole roof to protect it from wind and the nipa will last longer.
This is what interests me most; I've always admired Boris's carpentry skills and am curious to see how he'll adapt his craft to the Philippines. That orchid looks amazing on the nipa hut, Dari and the boys did an excellent job; the orchid adds such a beautiful touch too. Cozy unboxing, what a thoughtful gift, your subscriber is so sweet ♥
What beautiful, generous gifts! Your kitchen will look very nice with the turquoise hanging measuring cups, the Oneida set of silverware (Oneida is a great stainless steel brand!) and the elegant stainless knives that you put in the wooden block that accompany them. Each knife has its own proper place or size hole. You get to find each knife’s matching hole. The scissors belong in the square hole in the middle. Have fun with your new toys. 😊 You two precious people are so well deserving of them. I’m one of your silent subscribers and fans. Mabuhay and warm greetings from the Great Land of Alaska! God bless 🙏🏽🍁🙏🏽
You can also bore a hole in a hard brittle wood using a drill before hammering a nail into it in order to prevent the brittle wood from cracking. But of course the hole should be slightly smaller than the nail to give a strong and firm bond.
Beautiful kubo! The kitchen gifts from a very generous person are very good brands. Love the block that will hold the knives and scissors. You deserve such kindness Darlene and Boris!
Darlene i suggest that you buy arm protection sock (am not sure of its name) for Boris to protect his skin from being burnt. You can have one yourself.
If kaya sa budjet. Ayusin ang bahay near sa road. I backward lang medyu malayu sa kalsada. Para iyas road widening po. Then kung kaya .i fence nyu. Safe kayu jan. For the mean time mag tanim kayu nang mga gulay the fruit tress.
You can make couple of bench from the trees that where cut and a temporary table you can use there. I love your nipa hut shade .. take care Darlene and Borris
Very interesting watch this building of your Nipa Hut! My Father in Law ( R.I.P.) did made these part of the roofs until some 90 years age! Never have seen how these are tied on the roofs! Thanks for sharing! Salamat kaayo from Cebu Island & God bless for your project!
I hope the ground won't give up when there will be heavy rains. I suggest to withstand the heavy rains, strengthen the base with cement. Good job, Boris...Darlene, too for preparing the meal.
I agree with this comment. Rattan strips or "uway" in the Bisaya language are much stronger and more long-lasting than straw twine. Rural filipino houses in the past use rattan strips to fasten the nipa shingles roofing.
I'm a new subscriber....but almost finish watching all your vlogs....nag ba vlog marathon tlaga ako...i like u both and your vlog is really infomative....darlene is very simple a truly filipina at baris is so kind and responsible... I'm quite worried coz u dont upload for many days....but now so happy that u have one already. Take care always and please upload vlogs every day❤️❤️
Here we use plastic like rattan in putting nipa roof. It's durable and stays long. Hope you don't use straw lace, it will only last for a year and will brittle..
Darlene n Boris those are very beautiful presents from your friends bcoz they’re very expensive n come in sets too . They’re very kind n generous so write them back right away ! 😃
I love to hear those nature sounds from birds, insects, crickets, frogs, and others. By the way, Boris and Darlene watch out for poisonous snakes 🐍 such as banakon and cobra. Posted from Los Angeles, California🇺🇲
The Bahay Kubo is nicely done. Is a good shade for a rest for u n the workers. However, will the poles rot after rain over time. I m curious. U definitely hve a kind n thoughtful subscriber to send u the stuffs for the kitchen. Always watching yr vblog. 👍🙏😍
Hello Boris and Darline pagkatapos ba magawa yang Bahay Kubo nyo Dyan kayo titira for me it's so scary because you are surrounded by forest your the only one who have Kubo there maganda lang Dyan sa Araw lang kayo manatili it's nice to plant any kind of vege there flowers magtanim kayo ng mga frutas sa gilid ng farm nyo parang muhon narin watching you here in QC Manila❤❤❤❤❤
This nipa stays in good condition about 5 years only...after that has to repair. Natural way to make bambu last against rains and termites is to sink these about 1 month in a mud.
Happy day! Been waiting for your next episode! Finally here so I'm happy. Can't get enough of your vlogs!🥰..WHile waiting for this upload, Iwatched the old ones over and over!
Ahahaha mabuti naluto mo yan ginataan labong at pako(ferns) masarap yan lalo na pag May sahog Pritong isda or inihaw na toyo. Yummy 😋 Nakakamis pagkain sa atin. Ang ganda ng wild orchids ❤
the Philippines if full of termites and other insects that eats the bamboos, woods etc, so just a suggestions, while the ground is not yet developed, treat the soil and your land surrounding your place to be built from termites, you can inquire about the soil treatment, and mixed it about a two-feet under on the whole place you are going to built to ensure at least a 10-yearfreefrom termites and other infestations...and then another treatment every 5 years hence
Hello Boris & Darlene I'm watching your vlog very often but sometimes I miss some because no internet but as long as you have vloging I never stop watching specially I saw your building a new kubo Darlene Boris pls more extra careful to those people whom you don,,' t know well ok I'm just concern your safety your living far from others

Ñapapabilis ung trabaho dhil may may equipment n panghukay at pmputol accurate ung gawa at tumutulong tlga si Boris to build it He knows the process thats why he can build it beautifully and adorable.be extra careful in that area you both strangers in that place.ung lunch sna eh ung may sabaw like sinigang nilaga basta may sabaw n ulam masarap din yn pero dagdag lakas s workers ung masabaw.pero over all magaling kyong mag asawa tlga makisama.❤❤❤God bless
Sa pagtalinng mga ganyan, mas maganda ang tansi na gamitin. Mas matibay at mas matagal masira. Iyan mga 1month to 2 months gapok na iyan lalo na pag nababasa
they better use nylon string that stay longer and last longer than that straw for your nipa hut roof. and also some bamboo or amakan for the dingding. your workers knows it.
Great Bahay Kubo beginnings! Boris is a natural builder. Interesting how the Nipa is attached. Can you do a complete closeup and a narration how the bamboo needle is used to attach the Nipa into the frame?
Gretings to both of you. It seems you are already adapted you r life in Mindana, both of you are hardworking and low profile. Good you both a property in that area and explore your life there. Boris can make a busines in carpentry and build a house for your future. God bless

Native carpentry tools are much better because they were made by expert Filipinos.
I admire Darlene taking care of the meal by serving good nutritious food. ❤
Darlene i suggest that you buy arm protection sock (am not sure of its name) for Boris to protect his skin from being burnt. You can have one yourself.

Now you have a nipa roof, to stay away from the sun. A duyan to put inside is good. Nice kubo ❤
Thank you Borris & Darlene for having a vlog now after we were waiting for several days.
Love your Bahay Kubo roof❤❤❤

You can use those logs to build your fence.
Yes, we are planning on building a fence after we make a bigger road.
The Bahay Kubo is nicely done. Is a good shade for a rest for u n the workers. However, will the poles rot after rain over time. I m curious. U definitely hve a kind n thoughtful subscriber to send u the stuffs for the kitchen. Always watching yr vblog. 👍🙏😍
WOW Thoughtful gifts
Those other knives in a set are steak knives for cutting up meat while you eat.
Long wait ,wow now i can watch again ,i enjoy looking at your progress ,slowly but SURE !
Another beautiful heartwarming video 😊❤
Boris, just a suggestion , every time you put a wooden post you need to put them on a cemented pedestal. Everything you have this time is temporary.
Dapat tamsi or nylon ang pinangtali mas matibay,at lagyan ng net ang nipa para lalong matibay at magandang tignan

Nice bahay kubo enjoy life Boris & Darlene💕
Make a ditch or canal around you Kubo, so that when it rains, water will not flow inside your Kubo….
Boris should meet the Russian vloggers living in Samal island . They are good carpenters too.
Don't boil the water for the matcha! Preboiling temperature over 72C is too hot. You will destroy the good stuff in the matcha.
Rice is life!!❤❤
Wow ang tagal kung inintay 🥰 na miss ko kau🥰
Thank you very much po ☺️❤️.

Watching from La Union again. ❤
Darlen used nylon to tie up the nioa cause straw can be rotten easily.
That 's what I am thinking. There is a specific tie for nipa roof not straw Darlene
Boris tshirt is so nice it suits him nice design and ❤❤❤ color
It's good to use uway that plastic straw i guess. Straw will melt easily when its hot
Ang bait nman sa nagregalo gamit sa kucna.. more blessings.. I'm happy watching till the end no skip ads
Thank you very much po ☺️❤️.
