This is right up my alley. When I have a ripe breadfruit I normally break it up inpieces..make a dressing with olive oil garlic and salt..pour it all over and bake it. 👌👌 I also love the pieces deep fried and just a sprinkle of salt. It is breadfruit season now so having a feast😅😅 I will definitely try this. Thanks Mr B.
When you broke it open I had an idea. You can add saltfish together with the seasoning and it will be a nice version of accra with the slight sweet taste.
@@debbieforde6139Mine was not as ripe as his. I added a splash or two of milk and puréed it in the food processor then followed his method. I didn’t need to cook it before. I also made mine without eggs. I added about 1/4 cup of flour to help it bind. Came out well.
Wow!! I live in the carribean and have a breadfruit tree. Sometimes, breadfruit falls to the ground. They get a little soft. I give to the animals to eat. Well, never again. I will be making breadfruit fritters. Thank you so much for sharing....
You wouldn't ever know these were made without flour without watching this or you saying! Someone mentioned saltfish but this could be a great new Gluten-Free way to make Conch Fritters! Steady raising the bar my friend.
Yeah! Its only after it was done I was thinking to add some sorta rising agent to it to see if I get even more bready/airy/fluffy texture. Much thanks!
I recently made yam fritters delicious with Spicy Bar q sauce. Boil yam peel, shred and add all seasonings, oregano. Mix well, fry yill golden brown. Tasty.
It might work. I'd be a bit concerned with adding water to the mixture only because we frying them to cook but I was thinking to experiment with yeast and/or baking powder to add that fluffy/airy texture.
Try green bananas as well, grated on fine side of a grater and add the sauted onion, garlic and pimento peppers. You can substitute the eggs with baking powder/ yeast. Mix to incorporate everything. Then spoon them out and fry.
MMHMM! BADAWI! Where was this recipe 6😊 months ago when I had to throw away 2 breadfruits? 🙈 I really ❤ this recipe and I noticed you did not use any flour to make these fritters, I like that too. Thank you for this recipe Badawi I will give it a try when next I have breadfruit. 🎉😂
Loving this vid hats off to sipiria deltones they have som very talented players down there. What they're doing for the youths and community takes try commitment and dedication I never heard about the railway pizza it looks amazingly delicious. Thanks eatafood for highlighting them.
I am not a fan of breadfruit, not to mention a ripe breadfruit; however, I must say this seems like something I could eat, especially if sailfish was added to it.
Before you said Accra. I find the consistency was asking for so.e flaked saltfish in the batter. It looks delicious and I am sure it could be a base for adjustments to the batter like the saltfish or shrimp bites.
Looking good.

This sounding Nicee 😋
I do believe if the breadfruit is not over ripe, you can cook the breadfruit, cream it and follow your method of seasoning and frying.

Would some corn starch or water from boiled chana give a similar consistency as the eggs?

Wow gonna try this ❤
