I have read that you can put mothballs around your yard to repel skunks away and also a mixture of vinegar, water, and cayenne pepper no need to cook, put it in a spray bottle and spray around your area… You can also try (slice up )Irish Spring soap ,Put it around your yard,and it repels animals and even flies. !
I've been reading up on how to keep skunks away from my yard. I need something easy. As I am not a do-it-yourselfer at all. I am thinking about purchasing something called Repels All from Bonide. It comes in granules or a spray and I think I will try the spray first. About 2 years ago my dog got sprayed by a skunk and it was and still is pretty horrific. It was in the bush and she thought she was going after a rabbit and found out differently. Of course these things always happen in the middle of the night!
Unfortunately we have recently had some skunks get in under our house. I was able to trap one as soon as we realized what was going on. Once caught in the trap we relocated him to a very remote area away from housing. Unfortunately it wasnt the only one. Now we have set the trap again, and have built an exit (where they were already coming and going) where they are forced into the trap baited with tuna. For three days now nothing. We know that there is still at least one because you can occasionally hear him moving around. To my surprise last night he dug his way around the trap. We have sprayed citrus spray in the crawl space vents, set up lights that shine through the vents and into the crawl space. Any suggestions from here?
Jay, you can try this remedy. Whip up one raw egg. Add 6-7 adult strength aspirins softened in one teaspoon of water. Add aspirin to the egg and stir in good. Then set the bowl with egg and aspirin near spot the skunks go. My security cameras showed I had two skunks coming around my porch door every night. I fed them this egg cocktail two nights in a row. That was two months ago. I haven’t seen them since! What happens is the adoring causes them to bleed internally and they go off somewhere and die! This isn’t as cruel as shooting them. Also if you shoot gun in the city you can get arrested!

What about a product called Repels All by a company named Bonide? I have heard that skunks hate the smell.

I love to watch the skunks in my yard but they keep spraying my cat so I am getting annoyed with them

If you bury a skunk, can you pour lime in the hole and over the dead skunk, as a stink and decay, assistant of some sort?

Pine sole on a rag will get him out. Just push it in with a stick.
