- This episode I do a rig rundown on my 1996 Toyota Hilux Ln106, 'GUNNA'. From a stock hilux to a tough offroad truck, I built this 4wd to tackle the hardest of tracks.
I have been getting asked a lot to do a build episode so here it is guys!! Comment below if you want to know anything more about my hilux, if I have forgot to mention anything.

Sorry for breaking your custom hand brake on the recovery of the patrol at canyon track but still very appreciative of you guys coming to help
Hey mate nah we're glad we could help, was an epic recovery 😬
Great video mate! Love it
Cheers mate 👍
Awesome video love the videos you guys make and love the luxy keep it up
Cheers mate yeah it's been fun making videos, thanks for watching 🤙
Great vid dude
Cheers mate!
That L bracket is good idea mate! 👍
Yeah cheers 👍 I used it on another 4wd I had and it worked well 👌
Pretty sure I ran into ya little red last year when I drove it for my first time
In my red patrol ute!
Yeah nice👍guna miss that track for sure
Paid the same price for an air locker as you did the car itself, love it.
But seriously, sick build man 👌
🤣🤣 Cheers! Yeah I always spend more on mods, the only way to do it.
hi guys, oh yeah the long awaited video has finally arrived, gunna it's truly a car made with taste and passion, little expense and a lot of performance, maybe to have an engine like this 🥲, unfortunately mine has a small 2.4 NA diesel, to be almost stock gunna runs the 38.5 very well, did you also fit the shortened bevel gears? congratulations as always keep it up 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
Greetings from Sardina
Hi mate yeah we finally got it done. Nah haven't touched any gearing yet but reductions will definitely help wheeling. Keeping it cheap was a must, so it doesn't hurt as much when I dent it 😂
@@AlwaysPlayin365le balestre sono completamente originali?
need a vid on this handbrake need to do something for my 75 series that doesn't cost 2-3k
Yeah I want to build 1 for my Coaster, another Toyota handbrake that doesn't work, so I'll do a vid soon👍
Swan gully, are you a local to scenic rim? Love the rig
Cheers, yeah we're not to far from there
have you thought about doing a coil swap
I certainly have😂, I figured it would end up costing too much though, maybe 1 day
What about rear leaf is it just stock leaf or ifs rears. Is frount ruf. What size shocks frount rear. What frount shaft are you running
Ah yeah I should have mentioned that, so front and rear leafs are stock, no ruf set up, I just redrilled the front spring mount 35mm forward to push the diff forward, and changed the front shackle mount, come to think of it I might do a vid just on suspension in the next week or 2
@@AlwaysPlayin365 it works bloody well
Mint build bro, saw you at the brissy 4x4 show was gonna say hey
With the raptor did you do much prep work to the paint or did ya just go straight over it?
Hey bro cheers, nah I only gave it a quick sand with like 120- 200 grit to scuff it up, my mate literally sprayed it over rust and dirt on his and it seems to have held up😂
@@AlwaysPlayin365 hahah sweet, did you prime it al all or just 2 coats straight over?
@connorfitzpatrick7861 nah no primer just straight over, it's super easy too touch up if ya do scratch it too
@@AlwaysPlayin365yeah sick, might be the go. The old factory white on the gu ain’t looking to good these days. Might get some raptor and try and thin it abit see how it goes 😂 thanks heaps man
what did you do for leafs? like are they factory leafs? etc
Yeah factory leafs front and rear, just drilled out the front and rear diff mount to pushed rear diff back and front diff forward a little, I'm doing a vid next week just on suspension
@@AlwaysPlayin365 oh mint look forward too it mate
do you have a vid of how to revive leaf springs
Nah, but I was planning on doing one soon.
@@AlwaysPlayin365 yeah sweet do you reckon you will any time soon
@seantibbey9368 can hopefully get it done in the next week or so.
Do these come with leafs at the front ??
Yeah mate, the hilux runs leafs at the front up to 1997
@@AlwaysPlayin365 yeah sweat looking to buy one to make sorta what youv made just one for the tracks and to have fun In
@@Whatyz450 yeah nice👌
@@AlwaysPlayin365 love this build might be cheap and a little dodgy but love that haha
