i’ve seen a bunch of videos and this is the most well explained Thanks!!
Thanks for the feedback
Good gosh! I did LS swap 3 years ago on my 61 Apache. I would have loved having your videos & knowledge to refer to. I put an 84 C10 front clip on with 5.3LS, 4l60E, stage 4 cam, 3200 Torque Converter, 3.73 gears, a/c, power steering on the factory X-
Frame. I love how she glides down the road. Very nice way to cruise. Take Care! Keep em coming!
This is my first one so I’m learning alot.
Did you use the 84 style motor mounts?
you can get a valley pan with a oil cap on it. So you can fill your truck with oil there.
I saw some of those after I got mine. I have the four port steam lines and they block it. Good to know for the future though. Thanks for letting me know!
That is a beautiful set up you have there sir
Thanks!
Great video once again!!!thank you
Thanks for watching.
Lokar sells a valley cover with an oil filler location that resembles the 1963 283 engine.
Yea I like that one too
Awesome video!
Thanks!
Great video and look but until the oil fill is resolved better I’ll keep it original
@@shelbyadams9955 thank you for the feedback! I changed to a valley cover oil filter which is way better.
This video needed done years ago! Thank you
Thanks for subscribing
Awesome brother
Thank you!
New subscriber 🔥🔥🔥
Thanks a lot! I appreciate it.
Any video on the intake setup i would love to see that
Coming soon!
Have you considered put heat wraps around the spark plug wires?
I did at first but the wires do not get hot so I didn’t. I liked the simple look of it.
Is the cab maybe out of square? The clearance from the firewall to the valve covers looks very different from side to side.
No. LS heads are in different positions. The driver side head is two inches forward compared to the passenger side. This is the factory design.
@@SIMPLE.C10 Ok, good to know.
Awesome video as always. How much vaccum can you get on a 350 small block, running a mild cam and headers on c10?
No clue. Sorry. I don’t know much about engines.
Can you share the part number for the plug wires ? Thanks!
I don’t have a pn for the wires. They were blue print wires I got on Facebook marketplace with a bunch of other random things.
Where do I find the golden color motor mounts? I don’t know how they are called hahaha!
@@toto14101 they are called dirty dingo engine mounts.
You recommend 1st gen or 5th gen coils?
Also, what gasket did you use? Thanks in advance
I don’t recommend one over the other. It’s thatever your harness has.
@@SIMPLE.C10 thank you!
I have the same set up but with the dirty Dingo cradle, I am having the Holley valve cover height issues with the firewall. By any chance di you move the transmission and transfer case forward to help with clearance issues. I have a 70 K5 Blazer
@@67joe6767 I used the v6 motor mounts on the forward hole
Great video! Could you add chapters for easier referencing?
I plan to have an LS Guide on my website to reference each video like on my air ride guide but I can add chapters if that would be helpful.
Im looking at LS swap, but not a 20k price tag to get it done.
I have about 12k in this one but I installed it myself. If you’re not doing it yourself, plan to be in around 15k at least and have a basic engine. Every build is going to be different depending on the labor and parts you buy. You could buy a junk yard engine and get the bare necessities and do it yourself for maybe 6k.
Valve covers do the coils come in the kit??
No they don’t.
@@SIMPLE.C10 thks
will the dirty dingo bracket work on a lsa what im putiing in my 64 c10
I’m not familiar with LsA but I believe they make the slider mount for all LS models.
Hello!
How could I find the engine mounts that you use?
Search dirty dingo slider mounts for your year model. I got mine from az pro performance but many places offer them.
@@SIMPLE.C10 and the golden color ones?
Thanks for the reply!!
What shells did u use?
What’s are you referring to? The valve covers? They are Holley.
@@SIMPLE.C10 for the motor that go to the dirty ding mounts
Are you just using stock mounts with dirt dingo adjusters?
I’m using the stock inline 6 mounts that bolt in the front hole with the dirty dingo adjusters.
Can I use the th350 trans on my c10 ls swap?
You could with an adapter plate but I would recommend having a trans with an overdrive. It makes a huge difference.
@@SIMPLE.C10 thanks man…also thanks for all your vids🤙 helps a lot
@@seanlehtimaki9056 for sure!
