Buying used 980 ti's is not that smart to be fair, only if you sell them fast in a pc or something. Those cards can die especially after so many years of usage, My 980 ti died like a month ago and I took good care of it her entire lifespan so it can happen to anyone especially after 4-5 years. Never buy used cards, that old, if you plan to use them yourself at least. I got a 5500 xt at a decent price and is using only 100w with undervolt, It's so much colder and fans don't even go higher than 35% all that at 90% of a 980 ti performance so It's clearly not worth buying a powerhog 980 ti.

I absolutely love this flipping business. Im having way too much fun over here in Portugal, EU, deals are not often but I've already got a 970 for 50€, and yesterday scored a i5 6400 + z170 combo for FREE (only shipping price, 5€) that's "broken", seller said it shut off at high temperatures, im guessing it's in need of thermal paste on cpu or perhaps the mobo s chipset. My first flip was an FX6300 pc, which I got the fx+mobo+2x4gb ddr3+tower cooler +pci wifi card for 60€, that's insane in Portugal, got an rx 560 2gb with warranty for 50€+ shipping , bought case and psu new for 30€ ( yeah ik, shitty 500w psu, had 300w on the 12 rail, but the system was only consuming 150w at most), spent 150€ +- and sold it for 250€. Now going for my second attempt, got a h61 mobo+4gb+celerong530 for 36€ shipped, i5 2320 for 16€ shipped, 4gb ddr3 for 7€ shipped, gtx 1050 for 50€+shipping and 20€ matx rgb case with tempered glass panel (black Friday deal, case is Mars Gaming something xD) and the same psu for 11€ that was included in my previous case+psu combo (psu is L link 500w, but it's 300w for 12 rail). Spent total of 150+-€ again, planning to sell for the same amount.

I paid off a car this way just flipping laptops until my source of cheap laptops closed up shop even though the store was turning a profit but due to mismanagement in another city it was forced to close so r.i.p buying laptops for little as five bucks a pop.

I would really love to get into rebuilding computers and after watching you do some really awesome rebuilds I am going to try doing 1 for myself..It was also great to see the game test on World of Warcraft (which I mainly play) . Amazed at the fps you achieved playing it..awesome. My rebuild won't be for resale more as giveaways to people I know I just love the idea of being able to achieve a rebuild of an old PC.

That's a killer deal on the Ryzen Bundle, What would you say the CPU & Mobo on it's own are worth as i'd be looking next month for a 2600/X or 3600/X & B450/X470/X570 or if 3600/X a B550 combo for less than $300 CAD (about $313.43 AUD according to Google), ideally $200ish ($208.97ish AUD).

I've been flipping stuff for about a month. I'm really struggling getting cheap drives and good power supplies, but nothing beats how complicated the GPU market is right now. Looking to pick up a GTX 760 Ti for 20€ today, which is a total steal. But usually people still want 50€ for R7 370s or R9 280s etc. It's crazy, I still have to pay those prices to flip the boards/CPUs - lack of space is killing me at this place.

At this PC parts generation changing time, do you think it is worth to get hands on a use Titan X maxwell? If you do, how much should be an acceptable price? Thanks mate. Keep up what you are doing on this channel, it’s great!

Titan's are hard to come by (after all a whole lot weren't sold), though I find you can usually score them for pretty cheap, just have to wait for them to come up. Maxwell 12GB should go for about $300-350 if you are lucky enough.

Brian, I have a friend who has an HP Omen with an i7-4700K. He wants to keep the case and replace the motherboard + CPU with a Comet Lake. He's willing to replace the PSU to get around the proprietary power connectors. However, I also read that the HP motherboards use non-standard standoff positions. Do you think this is doable (without drilling or cutting), or should I tell him he needs a new case or forget it?

Triple channel or quad will help but the latency in l1/l2/l3 caches more important sometimes...bandwith is only available performance, not an absolute. Basically depends on the application and or game.

in Portugal local used market or even on ebay ,ppl must think that buyers are just ignorants or stupid, im looking for a graphics card mainly and asking prices are almost like new , i can find find fair prices but items are broken, so i guess ill just have to wait for new cards to get stock plus the mid range to come out to see if the market gets stabilized.
as always you are the used deal man Brian. Cheers

    I just got a used Zotac GTX 1070 8GB for SGD$200 (AUD$204) last week.
Really very good card. I can play WarFace in 4K with >60fps now.

If you give a warranty like I have heard you say give for graphics cards you refurbished, you are a better deal than almost anyone out there, because your warranty will take people past the initial possible failure time and almost guarantee their machines from you are good for the next 3+ years. The 1660 super is still an excellent card that has uses beyond gaming. Someone needing a used deal probably does not have a high-end monitor. I am more wondering how you can possibly find the time even working 16 hours / day to turn all of this stuff into usable gaming PCs.

You make is looks easy to get used cases. I have to compete at the local flea markets if I'm lucky enough to find one I can hack up to fit a standard ATX board.
