The very light but VERY stiff thumbsticks are the hardest thing for me to reprogram my muscle memory for. After about 30 hours of play I still can't easily do flick shots. Very stiff like stiffer than an elite 2 on maximum stiffness. Besides that it's totally fantastic and I'm hoping I'll get used to it. (I LOVE the soft purple cover because playbudz grip it tight and stay on without glue)
I'm curious for how this will compare vs the PowerA Spectra Infinity. I still prefer the Power A over the scuf instict just because I find it more ergonomic. I ordered the vitrix, will keep you posted.
I’ll tell you I have the razer Wolverine tournament, the turtle beach recon which is what I use currently, I also have the Victrix Gambit & while the size of the controller and my kontrol freeks wit 4 prongs CQC Rush spin a bit but don’t come off and i have to use em but the 1 drawback of this controller is not only the 4 paddle system being very disappointing but also the 2 paddles are just as bad… the App, the Dolby Atmos, the smaller size of the controller, the trigger stops are very easy to put in which position you want then just pull the button you set wit and back to normal, there is 0 stick drift and you can recalibrate them via the app to keep them in tip top shape but as bad as I hate the no trigger stop for my TB Recon Controller it’s just the right weight, the right paddle placement, & the grips are nice & for $60 which I got on sale for $44.99 & I always seem to break something on my controllers or my left analog stick starts not working as intended etc. it’s the best for everything considered. I will say if xbox control freeks fit it properly I would say the tying controller would be the Tournament due to the 2 mappable buttons beside LB & RB but, I don’t necessarily like the ergonomic feel or the click of the rear paddles but i can’t use cuz at times the left stick won’t move my guy online so I tried cleaning and stuff but still did it. I also have the fusion A Pro, had an elite 1 couple years ago and still have but pressin buttons by itself and Fusion Pro (2nd one) broke paddles & it’s super heavy.
I would say it is NOT AT ALL OVER HYPED. If anything it’s very under hyped and under rated. I’ve tried a ton of paddled controllers and upon the first day having it, to my surprise it is already my absolute favorite and most natural at home feeling controller for my hands and the response time is absolutely noticeable for me. I will be honest I am Blown away how good it is and more how much I really like it, the plastic does feel cheap but it feels so good and performs so well I could really care less. Can’t believe this is the one for me 😂 spent all this money over the years for what! Lol
Buyer beware, there is an "intrinsic deadzone" set on the the thumbsticks. The sticks don't drift because it's not reading small adjustments. Not a big deal unless you are high sens player that plays with a low deadzone. Had to return mine, it messed up my aim too much.
@@Jluntumbue I wound up sending my elite 2 to a guy that does mods/repairs. He's replacing the analog modules with stock ones (so no more wobble from the stick tensioner) and swapping the paddles out for buttons. Should have it back in a couple weeks.
@@gabek3468 xbox elite is really perfect in terms of features and ergonomics. But its so unrelieable that i cant recommend. Either u get stick drift really quickly or whats worse is the buttons not prwssing when u push them. You really need to slam them to register the buttons. Its rly annoying
GameStop has a sale on this brand new for $40 and I figured I would watch a review on it and now it feels like a steal for that price. I’ll see how I like it in a few days
Exactly, they're not comfy at all. Even though indeed feels fastest, after overclocking and without it than my instinct pro and elite 2, I still prefer the instinct because it's more comfy and reliable. The triggers are just a no no for me.
Hi, I'm from Poland and I bought it for $ 90 Gambit yesterday. The first impression was pretty good. The surface of the analog sticks could be a bit larger. The triggers are very fast. So fast that I had to reduce their sensitivity through the applications because I was accidentally shooting while playing Warzone all the time. I was counting on triggers the most and here it is great, but I really wanted paddles. And here I have a problem. While playing, I squeeze the controller and press the paddles all the time by accident. I programmed them under L3 and B to run fast and slide, but it bothers more than helps. I wonder if I will be able to get used to using them at all. In general, I think that $ 90 is probably worth buying. We'll see after a month of playing if I was right. Do any of you have paddles programmed for Warzone and can write what your settings are? Thanks
The only thing that concerns me and is never mentioned is the wire. How does it hold up after extensive use? I had a PowerA controller, which sucks completely but my main problem with it before stick drift occurred or any other problems, the wire wouldn't stay put in the controller. Now I can never use it again because it won't stay in, period. Can anyone comment on this after extensive use? I dont want to spend close to 100 on a controller thats gonna crap out after 3 to 6 months.
@@Red.exe7 I just realised this is an 11 month old comment haha. But yea they're great controllers, I use mine for infinite also and like it even more than my elite 2.
you're underrated brotha, amongst some of the best reviews I've ever seen. Amazing quality and funny af too. Personally the controller wasn't for me and ended up returning it but it is damn good for a hundo cannolis ya dig. Keep up the awesome vids bro this man is gunna blow up
I had one for a bit, love it but it was too light, I ended up going for the Fusion Pro 2 but overall it was a great controller and I didn’t knew that weight would make such difference but is just more comfortable for me to have something heavier. One big plus was the software, so much shoot you can do directly on console and no need to plug on your computer, even updates can run through the Xbox, that’s was awesome. I may give it a chance in the future it for now I’m happy with the Fusion Pro 2.
Just felt like it was my responsibility to say that I’m currently on the second one of these controllers that has the same quality control issues of the last one. Out of the box the controller feels, looks and performs great! The only issue is if you use it for more than 20 hours of game time. With both of the controllers I have had issues with button/trigger registration (which I have clips of in the software), stick drift (which I “fix” every other hour) and the deterioration of the back buttons. Customer service was super helpful and sent me a new controller after I jumped through all their hoops set in place (calls, video of errors, emails, etc.). However, they needed me to send my controller back to them to get it serviced. So for about a week and a half I couldn’t play any of the titles I wanted on controller… After I received my second “new” controller I noticed that the issues of the original controller had repeated itself. Never had anything like this happen with any Scuf or Razer controller I’ve purchased. After returning this controller I think I’m just gonna settle for an elite series 2. I hope that I run into far less issues with that!
I'm having an issue where the left stick also moves the right stick. Anyone else have this problem? I already had to have it replaced because the analog sticks would now fully register
I would love if you actually did an input latency test because I can tell you from testing and experience that certain controllers have better input latency than others. For example an Xbox one controller plugged into pc game me about 3.75-4 ms latency with every input I did but when I used 3rd party software to overclock my controller, those numbers when from 0.75-1.1 ms input latency. I think there’s a lot more to some of these controllers than even someone with your experience might know and it would be nice to see some actual testing to see what the actual input times are so that we aren’t saying stuff that isn’t true, or debunking marketing tactics when they just might be true. Plz test them and show us that!
what about improving my series x input latency? would this gambit be good for that? because I can't play FPS on my console, the input delay is noticeable
This controller was made for fighting games in mind. The input delay has some importance in a same-frame-input-clash situation specially on a "local tournament" scenario. And i think that has some merit to it. The fgc is so niche and weird in terms of controllers/sticks, but awesome at the same time. Great review
This my favourite controller to date pure and simply because of the performance of the sticks, paddle design, trigger design and trigger stops. Out perform any controller I've used. Elite 1& 2 and the standard SX controller and Razer V2 chroma. I don't care for the marketing BS either, all I know is it works and does it well. Where it falls short is it feels cheap. Doesn't mean it's built bad or anything or it feels like it will break easily. But comparing it to an Elite or Razer it feels cheap. But for $100 bucks it's the best bang for you buck. Looking forward to where these guys go next because I think they will make the controller market have to step it up for price, features and performance. I use KontrolFreeks and added some gamergrip (custom cut to fit) to the backgrips.
@@JAYHAWKER-88 I haven't tried it in COD. Gave up on it 6 months ago. Too many hackers . Use mainly for Battlefeild V, 2042, Halo and Apex. Apex is a good test for the sticks because it has very unique recoil patterns to master, and the Victrix has been way more smoother control for tracking while maintaining the recoil pattern.
@@valkiller1562 I'd don't seem to have any issues, but I have heard some people say they have. I run most of my games with zero to little deadzones in game settings.
Thinking about buying this one in 2024. There is not Amazon or many choices in my country. 2 other choices would be GameSir G7 SE or go big with Elite series 2.
I just got this controller. The paddles/buttons on the back are too flat :( are there any back grips for the remote available? If that makes sense please help

Love the vid I was just wondering you said you would link the cable extender in the description I was looking for a good one that can have the keep the same speed and quality as it would without the cable extender, please link one as I really need one.
How long do you think this controller will last (joystick drift, etc.)? I considered getting the Xbox Elite Controller (Series 2) on sale but decided against it because people were saying they had joystick drift within a year. I love the feel and look of the Elite, but play controller wired on PC so don't need the rechargeable battery. And for that price, experiencing joystick drift that fast is unacceptable.
I’m going for this controller next, after deciding I can’t keep paying £200 for an elite series 2 now I only get time to play a few hours a week. I’ve heard it can have issues after a few months but on Amazon it comes with a 2 year warranty anyway!
I’m having troubles with this controller, I don’t know if it’s just me but the sticks are turning by themselves after I recalibrate them, I would pull the left stick up then after a while it would stop my character for a bit like it’s trying to defy me then stop, I tried testing it out in the app too and I would hold the stick anywhere and it would recenter itself even though im still pulling the stick upwards for my character to sprint, It would also make the right stick turn right if I sprint, once I stop sprinting nothing moves, I know for sure it’s not stick drift but software problems. This sucks.
How long is the manufacturing warranty on this? I can't find it anywhere. I'm between this and the elite 2. Thinking the warranty is the difference maker.
Elite 2 on sale rn for $140 I would go with that and get the Best Buy warranty for another $40 and you can literally get a new controller every 2 years
please can you show us how to use the Victrix software to map the back buttons? And test what would happen if we map the back buttons to directions like back and then press forward on the dpad = forward or neutral?
Hey bro i came to this review to ask if you are going to review the new updated version to this controller the Gambit Prime to see if there are any differences
Hey man i love your content and i wont buy a controller without your expert stamp of approval. My question is if you had an unlimited budget and you could get any controller for FPS (on PC) what would it be? I had some bad luck with scuf and aim controllers now im back on the market for a new controller.
Excluding scuf and aim , it would be a 4 button battle beaver with increased thumbstick tension on the right stick , some kontrol freeks and overclocked of course
Damnit, you beat me to it! I was gonna buy this next month, either this or an Aim Controller

Thanks man, yeah I am wired when on my consoles and wired when on the PC.

Love these reviews always to the point and honest . And entertaining lol
I ordered the vitrix, will keep you posted.
i have the spectra infinity its great only thing i dont like about it is the triggers
power a fusion probis better if u can find one
What controller do you use now?
@@Jluntumbue I wound up sending my elite 2 to a guy that does mods/repairs. He's replacing the analog modules with stock ones (so no more wobble from the stick tensioner) and swapping the paddles out for buttons. Should have it back in a couple weeks.
You are an innuendo god!!
could you remap the trigger buttons to the back buttons?
I bought this controller after watching your review and you got it right. For being wired I can’t complain at all.
better than xbox elite 2 ?
@@gabek3468 being better than that junk is not much of an accomplishment
@@gabek3468 xbox elite is really perfect in terms of features and ergonomics. But its so unrelieable that i cant recommend. Either u get stick drift really quickly or whats worse is the buttons not prwssing when u push them. You really need to slam them to register the buttons. Its rly annoying
This is my first time watching you and I am going to start to watch you more you’re really fun nice video btw
Great review. Definitely going to purchase
Are you going to review the new Nacon Revolution X Pro ?
He said it wasn't on Amazon but he plans to
GameStop has a sale on this brand new for $40 and I figured I would watch a review on it and now it feels like a steal for that price. I’ll see how I like it in a few days
That's an awesom PS5 skin at 00:27
Its a cool controller but idk whats up with the triggers
Exactly, they're not comfy at all. Even though indeed feels fastest, after overclocking and without it than my instinct pro and elite 2, I still prefer the instinct because it's more comfy and reliable. The triggers are just a no no for me.
Great review! New subscriber because I get your humor so effortlessly! Great job!!!
Thanks
So no testing on input lag or overclocking ? Why why why ? 😔☹️😕😝
this is one of my older reviews before I knew those things existed, but I will do an updated review of this controller to my modern standards soon
I have had this controller for over a year and the wire is fine.
When the trigger stop is on the shortest amount. Can you charge up the plasma pistol in Halo infinite?
Yes, it adjusts the deadzones along with the trigger pull. Has the best hair triggers you'll find on a controller without spending 250+
@@Extermin8ed Yeah I eventually bought it and like it a lot
@@Red.exe7 I just realised this is an 11 month old comment haha. But yea they're great controllers, I use mine for infinite also and like it even more than my elite 2.
@@Extermin8ed Yup, I like it much better than the power a spectra since I can charge up a plasma pistol with the victrix.
you're underrated brotha, amongst some of the best reviews I've ever seen. Amazing quality and funny af too. Personally the controller wasn't for me and ended up returning it but it is damn good for a hundo cannolis ya dig. Keep up the awesome vids bro this man is gunna blow up
Thanks man!
I’ve gone through about 6 fusion pro 2s in the last year. I love it, but the durability of the housing for the paddles is terrible. Unfortunately….
the fusion pro 2 has fishing weights in it and the paddle housing is terrible quality
How do you fox stick drift
@@Tom-nh5lr Using the software you can recalibrate the sticks
@@thad4242 I suppose but if the deadzone is already off place there’s no fox really
I'm having an issue where the left stick also moves the right stick. Anyone else have this problem? I already had to have it replaced because the analog sticks would now fully register
Does this problem still occur?
can you assign the back paddles to commands such as “Right_Analog_Down”
Just got one because of this review… under 1ms response time when overclocked
New sub 🤙 Were you in the Marine Corps ? You have a lot of the signs lol
Hey man, I appreciate that! I am currently active duty Navy , I've been in 10 years, and spent alot of time deployed with Marines.
@@GamerHeavenOfficial Thank you for your service, my guy ❤️
Xbox Controllers cap at 6.9 ms to 8 even if you over clock em
My go to for console peripheral reviews thank you sir stallion. I prefer the flaccid floppy purple 😂
I like the way the purple feels in hand
@@yurpcrusher123 same
Some times floppy is the way to go!
This controller was made for fighting games in mind. The input delay has some importance in a same-frame-input-clash situation specially on a "local tournament" scenario. And i think that has some merit to it. The fgc is so niche and weird in terms of controllers/sticks, but awesome at the same time.
Great review
Lol not even close worse controller I have ever used for fighting games not even close it's just straight trash
Would love to use this thing on ufc 4, the ground denials would be insane
When aiming in a game like COD is it smooth?
@@JAYHAWKER-88 I haven't tried it in COD. Gave up on it 6 months ago. Too many hackers . Use mainly for Battlefeild V, 2042, Halo and Apex. Apex is a good test for the sticks because it has very unique recoil patterns to master, and the Victrix has been way more smoother control for tracking while maintaining the recoil pattern.
That solve the only issue with this controller some grip on the back and you can play the whole day!
@@rickd6914 does it have any problems with the deadzones
@@valkiller1562 I'd don't seem to have any issues, but I have heard some people say they have. I run most of my games with zero to little deadzones in game settings.
How do you set the deadzones to zero??? There's only a calibration option that automatically sets it for you. I'd love to set mine to zero if I can
Great breakdown man
Can you find them at game stores or Walmart? Or just ordering them online
Can you make the back paddles register or map directional inputs and retain the directional inputs too
Gonna use it in fighting games
Hi, I overclocked and tested input lag on the gambit and I got 1.8ms and 500hz. Is this correct for you? or is it an error?
I love this controller. I should try the white shell. Oh and when was Barry bonds known for his arm?
When the steroids were coursing in his veins
Thank you , I really needed a pro controller I think it’s a good choice but still hesitate yet
The hexagonal plates would be good for super monkey ball aswell
And any game i guess that has only 8 way input like arcade games
Thinking about buying this one in 2024. There is not Amazon or many choices in my country. 2 other choices would be GameSir G7 SE or go big with Elite series 2.
Are you able to swap the positions of the dpad and the left stick lile voctrix bfg?
I just got this controller. The paddles/buttons on the back are too flat :( are there any back grips for the remote available?
If that makes sense please help
after 6 month im having 3 minor problem the right bumper is a bit loose the left stick does a click sound when oriented to forward or backward and the right trigger does a different sound then the other one
well damn, i was skeptical about this controller but i guess im gonna buy it rn lol
I have been waiting for more than 1 week the Victrix Gambit controller, I hope the command is good as the page says. It will be my first xbox controller because I have always played on play4 controllers
Excellent review. Do you have the link to the 10 foot extension cord? Thank you 😊
Can’t wait to u see u reviews the bfg Xbox one
Love the vid I was just wondering you said you would link the cable extender in the description I was looking for a good one that can have the keep the same speed and quality as it would without the cable extender, please link one as I really need one.
Does it fit kontrol freeks?
The pro version does
How long do you think this controller will last (joystick drift, etc.)?
I considered getting the Xbox Elite Controller (Series 2) on sale but decided against it because people were saying they had joystick drift within a year. I love the feel and look of the Elite, but play controller wired on PC so don't need the rechargeable battery. And for that price, experiencing joystick drift that fast is unacceptable.
sooo uhh.. you got answers 😂
I’m going for this controller next, after deciding I can’t keep paying £200 for an elite series 2 now I only get time to play a few hours a week. I’ve heard it can have issues after a few months but on Amazon it comes with a 2 year warranty anyway!
I bought this controller and recommend it! “Elite” controllers are overpriced just, way too many problems with them.
I'm a bit late but would you recommend this controller over the elite series 2 controller?
I’m having troubles with this controller, I don’t know if it’s just me but the sticks are turning by themselves after I recalibrate them, I would pull the left stick up then after a while it would stop my character for a bit like it’s trying to defy me then stop, I tried testing it out in the app too and I would hold the stick anywhere and it would recenter itself even though im still pulling the stick upwards for my character to sprint, It would also make the right stick turn right if I sprint, once I stop sprinting nothing moves, I know for sure it’s not stick drift but software problems. This sucks.
Had same issue got warranty replacement now have same thing on new one
How long is the manufacturing warranty on this? I can't find it anywhere. I'm between this and the elite 2. Thinking the warranty is the difference maker.
Elite 2 on sale rn for $140 I would go with that and get the Best Buy warranty for another $40 and you can literally get a new controller every 2 years
could i use it like wireless with battery? or it could be used with battery only? but i think no, cos i didn’t notice the battery port 😢
Good video, you cleared my doubts with this controller, I would still like it if you could review the new Xbox controller nacon revolution x please.
Good review as always 😂, it really does look cool tho.
Thanks! 😁
I was able to put controlfreaks on mine?
please can you show us how to use the Victrix software to map the back buttons? And test what would happen if we map the back buttons to directions like back and then press forward on the dpad = forward or neutral?
Really curious to know how this stacks up against the eswap s pro
cant get the thumbsticks off to switch them anyone got help?
I’m confused I thought this video would have been a prime candidate to slip a little delag in somewhere…
I keep forgetting about delag lol
@@GamerHeavenOfficial that’s ok, we never will lol
Hey bro i came to this review to ask if you are going to review the new updated version to this controller the Gambit Prime to see if there are any differences
Hey man i love your content and i wont buy a controller without your expert stamp of approval. My question is if you had an unlimited budget and you could get any controller for FPS (on PC) what would it be? I had some bad luck with scuf and aim controllers now im back on the market for a new controller.
Excluding scuf and aim , it would be a 4 button battle beaver with increased thumbstick tension on the right stick , some kontrol freeks and overclocked of course
@@GamerHeavenOfficial awesome thanks
Does anyone have any idea where to get thumbsticks that are compatible with this controller. Ive been looking and asking around for weeks.
