did you try to thrustmaster eswap x pro? apparently they came out with a new one and it has the fastest sticks on the market (little to no deadzones like the ps4/ps5 controllers but even better supposedly)
I've had it for almost 2 months and it has been great so far! There's no delay on any games with it, and absolutely no stick drift! That means I can play shooters with zero deadzones. If it stays working a long time, this will become my favorite controller of the Xbone gen.
@@JAYHAWKER-88 it feels a lil bit smaller in general and its pretty lightweight. The joystick's concave surface area is smaller too. I guess my one complaint with this controller is that you will press the triggers way too easily. The triggers have hardly any resistence to them so you might find yourself shooting or throwing grenades by accident a lot. The app includes a deadzone feature for the triggers as well, but it's still something you want to be aware of.
Just purchased mine based on your review. Definitely subscribed. Like your style, and your attitude, it's trusting.. Anyway, I've never owned an aftermarket or "pro" controller. Last time I had an aftermarket controller was back when MadCats had their crazy lit up fat boy ones.. awful stuff... lol, I only bought them because they were cheaper. Anyway, my first impressions were that the Diamond shaped D pad feels AMAZING when my thumb rests on it. I think they went with that angle because when your thumb rests on it, it's literally cradled into the grooves of the D pad.
The two most affordable and reliable competitive controller options are a ds 4 with original Sony back button attachment or dualsense modded with Extremerate back paddles.
The Turtle Beach Recon Controller @ $59.99 which on sale a lot for $49.99 is what I use and what everyone should try because it is the best bang for buck and it’s not even close. Fix the Paddle system & make handles a bit longer on Victrix Gambit & oh yeah make the Analogs the right sz to fit Kontrol Freeks without spin. I have it & Razer Tourny & Power A Fusion Pro & Elite 1. I have to have paddles & need trigger stops.
I bought this not exactly knowing what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised, performs as advertised with alot of accessories included. I heard some people say that it’s “overly sensitive”, well get back in the slow lane then grandpa! Lol!🤣
i loved my gambit. tried to overclock it just for curiosities sake and fried it. Learnt something new too because i thought the 2-paddle attachment was just a blockoff rather than an attachment at all
Great video. I'm currently using the victrix for infinite and mk11 and I love it. The dpad is a little stiff at first with fighters but breaks in like a baseball glove. I have noticed a difference in mk with punishes and reads. For halo it just feels really comfortable with the two paddle plate. For single player games I'll stick with the glass cannon elite 2. On my fourth, hopefully it stays that way now that the victrix is my daily driver.
So im about a year late but i brought this controller and have a couple issues. #1 Theres an in-built deadzone in the thumbsticks that isn't possible to turn off which is probably why there's no drift ever. While it seems like a good thing, it makes micro adjustments impossible especially if you use a linear response curve in fps games. #2 I shoot with the right bumper as opposed to the right trigger and for some reason it is impossible to fire an automatic weapon without the input being interrupted. This makes it extremely unreliable.
I had one for a bit, love it but it was too light, I ended up going for the Fusion Pro 2 but overall it was a great controller and I didn’t knew that weight would make such difference but is just more comfortable for me to have something heavier. One big plus was the software, so much shoot you can do directly on console and no need to plug on your computer, even updates can run through the Xbox, that’s was awesome. I may give it a chance in the future it for now I’m happy with the Fusion Pro 2.
you're underrated brotha, amongst some of the best reviews I've ever seen. Amazing quality and funny af too. Personally the controller wasn't for me and ended up returning it but it is damn good for a hundo cannolis ya dig. Keep up the awesome vids bro this man is gunna blow up
How long do you think this controller will last (joystick drift, etc.)? I considered getting the Xbox Elite Controller (Series 2) on sale but decided against it because people were saying they had joystick drift within a year. I love the feel and look of the Elite, but play controller wired on PC so don't need the rechargeable battery. And for that price, experiencing joystick drift that fast is unacceptable.
Hey bro i came to this review to ask if you are going to review the new updated version to this controller the Gambit Prime to see if there are any differences
I’m going for this controller next, after deciding I can’t keep paying £200 for an elite series 2 now I only get time to play a few hours a week. I’ve heard it can have issues after a few months but on Amazon it comes with a 2 year warranty anyway!
Im currently working on wearing out my elite 2, but the gambit has my attention for sure. But dts>dolby for situational awareness. I own both apps cause i bought them both. Dolby is super heavy handed on the bass. It does have a custom equalizer but. Even then. When I bought a dts license, even without an equalizer function, I feel its way more natural sounding and has a much better spacious sound.
I always thought PDP was a low end brand. This definitely has a ton of features for the money. The elite 2 has been on sale for $139 and probably a better option in my opinion (includes a charger and can be used wirelessly). This seems to be a great option if you couldn’t find the elite 2 on sale. I like the tension adjustments on my elite 2. I may have missed it, but how does the tension on the thumb sticks feel? I’m not a fan of the super loose sticks (I use the middle tension setting on my elite 2). Oh, and I shoved my thumb for you 😉
I have no qualms or bias towards any controller (except maybe the Razer Wolverine), and this is the first video I watch from you - but saying that something is false marketing because you don't agree with the difference loses a lot of credibility. I understand what you mean, almost no casual player will notice the 1/50th-1/100th of a second difference between a wired and wireless controller. But many players want to be optimal, even if they can't feel it themselves. A lot of this doesn't even come down to "feeling" it either, it's just raw numbers and knowing that there are probably a lot of interactions that went in your advantage because of a fraction of a second quicker inputs. I think it's important to be as clear as possible, and I get that you tried (since you did make a comment towards "unless you're an esports player"), but I just would not call it false advertising without first actually checking if it's actually the fastest controller. As a fighting game player, I did have to switch to a wired controller back in the previous console era because the 1/50th of a second of extra delay would actually make some interactions impossible to react to for me (while it was possible with a wired one). Literally just 1-2 frames of delay would cause that. This generation thankfully things have improved even more and I am able to use a wireless controller that only has 0-1 frames of delay (about 0.4). Also, you mention wireless controllers able to play wired - a lot of those are even slower. The Xbox Elite for example ranges around 2-4 frames of delay (WHICH IS HUGE, even bigger than most wireless) even when wired. It's not necessarily about wired vs wireless. There's also the data transfer speed of the cable, the polling rate of the controller and a lot of other bullshit that gets in the way. And for people wanting to buy "competitive" controller, I think it is actually important to know how fast/slow your controller is even if you can't feel it
I'm having an issue where the left stick also moves the right stick. Anyone else have this problem? I already had to have it replaced because the analog sticks would now fully register
I had this controller and returned. Ergonomics is all I cared for. The app is terrible and I couldn’t tell what settings I was changing because the menu doesn’t tell you what you’re adjusting. The volume isn’t very loud even on 100 on the settings menu. Mic monitor made me sound muted or extremely far away. The controller does feel great, but the app just doesn’t work well at all.
Well, consider yourself the only other go-to for honest controller reviews. The other being vCuda! Because most others get paid to "talk-up" shit only for me to be convinced and then greatly disappointed. I'm considering this or the Thrustmaster eSwap Pro. Which would you recommend?
Hey man i love your content and i wont buy a controller without your expert stamp of approval. My question is if you had an unlimited budget and you could get any controller for FPS (on PC) what would it be? I had some bad luck with scuf and aim controllers now im back on the market for a new controller.
Excluding scuf and aim , it would be a 4 button battle beaver with increased thumbstick tension on the right stick , some kontrol freeks and overclocked of course
I might use the purple faceplate, if I choose to get it, currently like £75 on amazon, that or a razer wolverine, if the tournament was present, rip. My favourite colour is purple, hence why I might use it from time to time
Hey quick questions would you say the 4 paddle design is similar to the elite controller like placement of the paddles etc, I'm thinking of getting one of these next controller over the elite, but want to make sure the the paddles are gonna feel super weird
after 6 month im having 3 minor problem the right bumper is a bit loose the left stick does a click sound when oriented to forward or backward and the right trigger does a different sound then the other one
Do they sell any Xbox controllers that automatically press buttons like they used to back in the day? As in; can you program the controller to press A every few seconds?
Yo i just got this controller and it absolutely rocks sickest controller ive ever played on and i love the rubber plate on it it never leaves my hands its the shit i feel like a purple muscle car goin around a corner 190 mph shootn fools hahhah
i like the responsivness of this controller but the back paddles are unusable to me i constantly bump them on accident . wish i could adjust tention on stuff like this . any recommendations on controllers for dudes with heavy hands?
I wonder how long my wolverine chroma will last against the gambit cause i might buy it if my chroma v2 breaks haven’t had any problems tho in the first month of owning my chroma v2.
@@Extermin8ed honestly I saw it at GameStop and just overlooked it read up on it and never saw it again but saw horrible reviews on it so didn’t bother searching . I kept a scuff tho for ky gaming got rid of most glad you liked it I mean the controller looked cool not gonna lie
There’s a huge reason why people get pdp … n it’s simple the software that comes with it. But the controller itself doesn’t last long at all . Yes you could get elite 2 but that doesn’t have software where you could change your deadzone, maybe with the controller but still wouldn’t be as smooth as the software pdp has with like 50 different controller settings to change. Pdp is a lower brand I would say but if you know how to work technology it’s a pretty damn good controller
I have some ideas but cannot decide what monitor is best for gaming on Xbox Series S - Huawei Mateview GT 34; - Samsung Oddysey G5; - Samsung Oddysey G7; - ASUS TUF VG277Q1A ; - Nano IPS DELL 27'' QHD S2721DGFA; - Asus VG32VQR; - Benq EX2710S; - DELL S3222DGM . What is best guys? Thanks so much for help!
Now im used to play on overclocked ps5 controller and it has less then 1ms reponse time and tried other controllers but they feel like shit unfortunately ps5 controller is bulky and not a claw friendly controller like ds4 controller
Just brought mine was sick to death of the cheap xbox official series s or x handset. The b button always got stuck after 4 weeks of using it and Joystick and triggers just failed with he spring mechanism. Hoping the 89 I paid is worth it, most expensive controller I've ever brought
We haven't watched this video yet, but my wife & I like to take bets on how many times he will say "Chocolate Starfish." It's usually about 368,657x's per video lol Haha jk (not really) ❤️You Ak40K
Underrated content creator. This dude deserves way more views and subs. Really enjoyed the video dude 👍 wish I saw this before I picked up my current controller
I told myself I was gonna wait for more reviews before buying but I folded and have had it for a while lol Love it, and the Dolby Atmos or the On board EQ, can't tell which, has transformed my trash way-too-bassy headset into a footstep detecting machine. I also somehow squeezed a kontrol freekz onto the right thumbstick, it was tight, but it worked and ugh 😩 Thanks for the review, always thorough
Hi, I'm from Poland and I bought it for $ 90 Gambit yesterday. The first impression was pretty good. The surface of the analog sticks could be a bit larger. The triggers are very fast. So fast that I had to reduce their sensitivity through the applications because I was accidentally shooting while playing Warzone all the time. I was counting on triggers the most and here it is great, but I really wanted paddles. And here I have a problem. While playing, I squeeze the controller and press the paddles all the time by accident. I programmed them under L3 and B to run fast and slide, but it bothers more than helps. I wonder if I will be able to get used to using them at all. In general, I think that $ 90 is probably worth buying. We'll see after a month of playing if I was right. Do any of you have paddles programmed for Warzone and can write what your settings are? Thanks
I bought this controller and took it back after 3 days . The controller itself felt great . Amazing paddle system and pretty good trigger stops . However my issue was the sticks . It doesn’t register movement for slight adjustments. I play linear on FPS games and because of the controller not being capable of micro adjustments I took it back . Before anyone says well there’s software to adjust the sticks …. Yes there is but it doesn’t effect this. It’s the same thing Razer did with the v2 chroma . Wouldn’t register micro adjustments until they put out new software . If Victrix puts out an update to fix this issue then I would go buy it again . All this being said if you play FPS and your shooting curve is steady or classic then this is a great controller. If you play linear think again .
I wish I knew the difference. I play dynamic and switched recently from standard and only noticed a faster turning response instead of holding it down to get to top speed of revolution. Not entirely sure how they all are different.
@Justin Goodall I may be late but I currently have the razer v2 chroma and I play on linear settings and face no issues (according to me). Micro adjustments were difficult on the v2 chroma because of the deadzone issue which Razer recently fixed (just update the software) and lower the deadzone to 1 (4 by default lol). Hope this helps
This thing is garbage. I bought one and immediately returned it. It feels cheap, is over sensitive, and has an odd layout. This playskool toy is definitely not worth 100
Nah buddy i just bought this controller was struggling on 2k24 with the shooting and shot extremely well all day yesterday with a new build with no badges maxed out i definitly approve of this controller
This controller is awesome for the price. I bought this and the Razer Wolverine Ultimate at the same time and was going to return one. This one stayed, definitely worth the money.
@@ej9668 Absolutely. I was sold on the Razer cause of all the gimmicky crap like the tactile buttons and chroma, so much that I basically ignored the bad reviews 🤣 But the paddle design is horrible, and more importantly the thumbsticks feel wildly inaccurate (to me, at least) Maybe it's a deadzone issue, or a byproduct of the awkward holding position, but it's very hard to trace objects or "draw" a small circle with your crosshairs, basically anything requiring micro adjustments. When using the Razer, my accuracy in Halo actually dropped about 15% over a 2 day period. The Victrix on the other hand, felt great right out of the box. Accurate, has legit hair triggers, good paddle design, etc. They basically nailed all the stuff that actually matters. It doesnt have chroma or tactile buttons, but the buttons feel fine and work as they should. The Gambit is also kontrol freek compatible, and the Razer isn't. Hope this helps
Sonicfox: Don't make fun of me bro. But I don't care because we both know that I am better than you 😃. And of course, we both know that you would NEVER EVER defeat me in a fighting game 😁
First video I've seen (of your channel... not EVER) and I've gotta say, I like the style and format. You're not just reading a spec sheet and then saying "7/10 IGN. I did it for teh MEEMzzzz. Etc.etc." You actually understand that different people have different tastes/opinions and tailor the review to suit a diverse audience. Entertaining without sounding like you had a focus group auto-generate a script. Also glad you touch on the ergonomics. Subbed.
I would say it is NOT AT ALL OVER HYPED. If anything it’s very under hyped and under rated. I’ve tried a ton of paddled controllers and upon the first day having it, to my surprise it is already my absolute favorite and most natural at home feeling controller for my hands and the response time is absolutely noticeable for me. I will be honest I am Blown away how good it is and more how much I really like it, the plastic does feel cheap but it feels so good and performs so well I could really care less. Can’t believe this is the one for me 😂 spent all this money over the years for what! Lol
I use the purple face, and I also use the CQC kontrol freeks on mine(cause they actually fit)and this is by far the most responsive controller I’ve ever used.
Yes they think in one day they can't said if it is good or bad and you have to spend time to see how it's and definitely this is the best controller for the price and accessories plus dolby for life and let's input lag. if you want to have a better feel go and buy the razer grips on amazon for 9 buck and put them on the back.
@@Red.exe7 I just realised this is an 11 month old comment haha. But yea they're great controllers, I use mine for infinite also and like it even more than my elite 2.

“As a Jedi with the gaming reflex’s of a Greek god”
Its a cool controller but idk whats up with the triggers
Can you make the back paddles register or map directional inputs and retain the directional inputs too
Gonna use it in fighting games

@@Extermin8ed honestly I saw it at GameStop and just overlooked it read up on it and never saw it again but saw horrible reviews on it so didn’t bother searching . I kept a scuff tho for ky gaming got rid of most glad you liked it I mean the controller looked cool not gonna lie
How does this compare to the turtle beach recon?
What about over clocking this controller on pc
Is the response time good? Or is it cap
is this controller better than razer chroma v2 controller?
There’s a huge reason why people get pdp … n it’s simple the software that comes with it. But the controller itself doesn’t last long at all . Yes you could get elite 2 but that doesn’t have software where you could change your deadzone, maybe with the controller but still wouldn’t be as smooth as the software pdp has with like 50 different controller settings to change. Pdp is a lower brand I would say but if you know how to work technology it’s a pretty damn good controller
So you didn’t use the overclock? 508mhz equals 1.9ms it is the fastest controller on the market
controller still good today?
I might buy this!
How does it compare to the elite series 2?
I have some ideas but cannot decide what monitor is best for gaming on Xbox Series S
- Huawei Mateview GT 34;
- Samsung Oddysey G5;
- Samsung Oddysey G7;
- ASUS TUF VG277Q1A ;
- Nano IPS DELL 27'' QHD S2721DGFA;
- Asus VG32VQR;
- Benq EX2710S;
- DELL S3222DGM .
What is best guys? Thanks so much for help!
Buy an oled gaming monitor they have the best graphics and are faster
The next test... Durability
Now im used to play on overclocked ps5 controller and it has less then 1ms reponse time and tried other controllers but they feel like shit unfortunately ps5 controller is bulky and not a claw friendly controller like ds4 controller
Glad I just found this channel haha some guy
Dead zone is good?
Is it overclockable?
Do you think the razer wolverine ultimate is better ?
Did you ever figure it out? Im also trying to decide which 1
Came to watch another bland review, left entertained laughing at the analogies. Look forward to watching more of your content.
I just swap the l/r bumpers with the triggers in FPS... end of story
He said well not condoms 💀💀💀😂
Chroma V2 is better for me.
Should I get a victrix gambit or a power fusion 2?
Gambit

Do you still think this is the best wired controller for Xbox?
Just brought mine was sick to death of the cheap xbox official series s or x handset. The b button always got stuck after 4 weeks of using it and Joystick and triggers just failed with he spring mechanism. Hoping the 89 I paid is worth it, most expensive controller I've ever brought
I just hate how over the top it looks. Like they had a classroom of 8th graders make it or something.
I put scuf reflex thumbsticks on it, it feels like new controller. Try it :)
This review was epic lol u to funny
We haven't watched this video yet, but my wife & I like to take bets on how many times he will say "Chocolate Starfish."
It's usually about 368,657x's per video lol
Haha jk (not really)
❤️You Ak40K
Underrated content creator. This dude deserves way more views and subs. Really enjoyed the video dude 👍 wish I saw this before I picked up my current controller
Yeah I was comfy no lie
I told myself I was gonna wait for more reviews before buying but I folded and have had it for a while lol
Love it, and the Dolby Atmos or the On board EQ, can't tell which, has transformed my trash way-too-bassy headset into a footstep detecting machine.
I also somehow squeezed a kontrol freekz onto the right thumbstick, it was tight, but it worked and ugh 😩
Thanks for the review, always thorough
Did you buy it on the website and if you did how long did it take to arrive
@@samcantdribble8388 Nah, got it in-store at GameStop
Do you still have these ? Im going threw controller in such a gross way 😢 its been monthly for a while and boom stick drift on everything
What deadzones did it feel like? 3 or 4?
Whats linear
I have not had this issue did you turn the dead zones down properly on the app??
This thing is garbage. I bought one and immediately returned it. It feels cheap, is over sensitive, and has an odd layout. This playskool toy is definitely not worth 100
💯% facts
Lol each to their own
Nah buddy i just bought this controller was struggling on 2k24 with the shooting and shot extremely well all day yesterday with a new build with no badges maxed out i definitly approve of this controller
@@WaveGodx718I’m just getting it for rocket league. But I watched a different review and he said it was amazing so I guess it’s just preference
@@Decimation_Minecraft yea it dont feel as good as the licensed xbox controller but my response time is super improved
This controller is awesome for the price. I bought this and the Razer Wolverine Ultimate at the same time and was going to return one. This one stayed, definitely worth the money.
Same, just got a Razer v2 chroma, and the Victrix. Just returned the Razer today lol.
@@n54kv The gambit is that much better? I was considering the gambit, the v2 chroma, or the e Swap Pro S
@@n54kv how does it feel if you claw grip the controller? can you still hit those back buttons?
@@boristeplitskiy7632 I don't play claw, but it feels fine claw gripping it. Can still hit the back buttons easily 👌🏼
Subbed.
Surprised you didn't do a response time and overclock test to see if it's really the fastest controller on the market
It is- trust me
I would say it is NOT AT ALL OVER HYPED. Lol
Interesting. I play on a elite 2 but when she goes dead it might be a nice choice.
Are you going to review the new Nacon Revolution X Pro ?
He said it wasn't on Amazon but he plans to
I use the purple face, and I also use the CQC kontrol freeks on mine(cause they actually fit)and this is by far the most responsive controller I’ve ever used.
which CQC are you using? for xbox or ps?
@@ckhoho its under ps4 but it fits Xbox sticks as well I have my other one on my xbox power a controller also.
Yes they think in one day they can't said if it is good or bad and you have to spend time to see how it's and definitely this is the best controller for the price and accessories plus dolby for life and let's input lag. if you want to have a better feel go and buy the razer grips on amazon for 9 buck and put them on the back.
That’s exactly my setup as well, it works so well
How do you set the deadzones to zero??? There's only a calibration option that automatically sets it for you. I'd love to set mine to zero if I can
When the trigger stop is on the shortest amount. Can you charge up the plasma pistol in Halo infinite?
Yes, it adjusts the deadzones along with the trigger pull. Has the best hair triggers you'll find on a controller without spending 250+
@@Extermin8ed Yeah I eventually bought it and like it a lot
@@Red.exe7 I just realised this is an 11 month old comment haha. But yea they're great controllers, I use mine for infinite also and like it even more than my elite 2.
@@Extermin8ed Yup, I like it much better than the power a spectra since I can charge up a plasma pistol with the victrix.
