@@justinklasens31 Fair enough. Either way they dumbed down a quick car and made it fairly easy to drive and shoved it in a lower license class while they were at it. @@rover1374 I think it's because online competition is what iracing live and die on and giving people control of the hybrid just open it up to exploits they can't think of.
My issue with the dynamic track is that I’ve jumped into a brand new track with no previous traffic and it already has some gravel kicked up in spots. I have not had any issue with the gravel ruining my lap times though. I just ran LMP2 in the Prototype multi class and I enjoyed the drive, I placed 1st in the LMP2 class. I don’t have any complaints from the changes.
I dont see why they would think we couldnt manage the full energy system. Just have it in the same black box with the fuel and have it give you a stop/go 40 or something similar for running out. On top of that it would come more into play during endurance races and 95% of the time i generally have atleast 1 teammate online soley focused on my fuel level. Also anyone who cant keep up with it can just run the lmp2 class.
I won't lie im so worried lol. But what ive been told the update will help with grip with the tire model not make it worse. So I can only hope that's ture unless it makes us feel more on ice lol..
Its like when the F3 was first released and it had ridiculous downforce, everyone loved driving it, but it was stupidly quick. Then they nerfed it to hell and it killed the car for a season until they basically rebuilt it lol.
I don’t know where you’re getting this. iRacing is only growing. Yes they have to fix a lot of stuff, but the tires on the GTPs/LMP2s are closer to real tires than they ever have been. They’re not killing themselves.
@@TractionCircleSimRacing i have 7800x3d, overclocked with an eCLK, motheboard, 6400-28 tuned ram, a 3080, lightweight OS, Process lasso, latency tweaks etc. I have tweaked everything, the ini files. Ehat i find funny is the tslk if lap times. Sim lap times are alwasy faster. And cars in sims have ti be nerfed in the sim to match the lap times of real life. You hsve way more favtors at play im real life. G forces reacting on the body, elements reacting on the surface that cant be well simulated, etc. Ive always gound the lap time argument s little silly. Already some adjustments have been made snd im seeing guys push the car un game and thenfastest laps seem to be within anout a half second of real lap records, and if you habe the hybrid system properly deployed, that would eliminate they time gap My resl issue with this topic is hearing guys in the sim community that have never even driven a car around a track, get in here and say whats realistic verses iracing working directly with Scuderia, the engineers, snd the drivers, to develop the car, get their spproval on it, snd those guys who built and drive the car saying yes, this is the best you get in a sim. No sim is perfect. Code and conputer modeling woll never match one to one woth reslity. There sre just too many variables at play. So why cant we just enjoy the sims for what they offer snd appreciate the work rhat goes into all of them, making them all unique
Turning speeds of GTPs were already 25/35km/h too fast is many famous fast turns in the WEC and IMSA calendar (Pouhon, Porsche Esses, etc...) with a lower straight line speed to compensate and make laptimes realistic. Now the speed differential in those turns reaches +50Km/h. GTPs were grossly unrealistic and now they are Forza like.
iRacing is solely popular because of the multiplayer matching. WIthout that, it's trash. The engine is literally from the 90s, the sound is abysmal, The tire model and car to car contact models are just trash.
I don't understand the push to dumb it down. If people want to drive a simpler car there are plenty on the service.
Seems to me as the service is gaining popularity they might be looking to ‘arcade’ it a bit. Hope that is just a crazy thought for me.

They reworked the whole LMP2 car to then delete the one make fixed series for the car. Seems like a waste. Bizarre.

Exactly. We do it in LMU just fine.
Why they don't think we could manage the car's systems, because too many bitched about the LMP1 systems.

Wait! The 499 is too fast, but you don’t want them to nerf it?!?
They will probably fix all the issues in time. The tires are better than before, I prefer this new model than the one we had, it was utter trash

Totally, it made the car feel like it’s on ice at certain points.
Iracing is killing itself. For one reason or another. Their sound department should've been replaced years and years ago.
The sound is terrible, flat 2D sound. The tyres are atrocious, especially the GT3's. New updates bringing worse & worse FPS

Get a better system, I run iRacing maxed out on triple 32” monitors and never see so much as a hiccup
