- How to Hand Sew a Hidden Stitch or Invisible stitch
Let us start to learn how to hand sew a hidden stitch or invisible stitch. Hidden stitch is used to sew when you don't want to make the stitches visible.
In this video Invisible stitch is used to reduce the height of the pant without leaving the stitch mark. First fold the pant according to your size then make the hidden stitches. Hidden stitch is also used in many purposes.

For the doubters, this is NOT the same as a pick stitch...I did a pick stitch on black pants w white thread (all I could find) and you can see the white, even tho it's small. I retried w this stitch and when you pull it back through, the white completely disappeared! So it's not just some longer way of doing a pick. I can't tell you why but something about the tension makes it truly invisible. Well worth it!
Didn’t think it would be this easy! Thank you!
Замечательно получается! 😊 Спасибо за объяснение!
There's no better tutorial on the internet than this one
Finally a video that dosent show this in super speed! Thank you for sharing this and actually in a learning speed 🙌🏼
Glad you liked it!!
Thank you for all the videos that are about sewing by hand. I hope there will be more to learn in the future ;)
I hope so too!
Muy bien explicado. Sin prisa una puntada a la vez y fácil de entender. Muchas gracias. Un abrazo.
Terimakasih untuk ilmu nya😇
Very good video as you moved slowly enough to see how and where to move or put the needle. I found after a few stitches, the thread tended to knot. So I decided to make the first loop and then just following the last step. Success.
Wonderful!
terimakasih. .saya juga sangat senang menjahit..semoga juga bisa saling berbagi ilmu ya kawan
i just made one of the greatest decisions of my life thanks to you!
Merci beaucoup pour votre tuto qui m'aide super bien.. je ne suis pas couturière du tout 😅😅 et j'ai trouvé votre tuto bien expliqué. Merci😊

Langsung dicoba, ternyata mudah dan awesome 😂👍
Thank you for sharing. It was intriguing to watch the process. It was like a magic act. However, I will stick to the pick stitch for hemming by hand because my mother taught me when I was a little girl and I am satisfied with it..
Absolute life-saver for a beginner!
Thank you.

This would be nice if I’m sewing a project where I can’t have access to the wrong side but don’t want the thread to show on the right side.

Teryata jahit seperti ini lebih rapid ya?
Do you punch in the same hole or closer to that one?
Closer to that
What is this dark magic? 😮
Super❤❤
What is the type of this jeans? What we say this article tripple stitch on leg?
Wow! Thank you for sharing he video
Can this be done to stretchy material like scrub pants?
Yes
I don’t thing that loop is necessary
Wow 😮
Kindly follow indoor home work for good reasons on earlier islands.
How do they get it so straight
The loops seem to be UNNECESSARILY complitating it, i (being a needle) could just as well poke back into the hole i just came out of, of course on my way back INTO the fabric (being the needle) I could never perfectly pass through the exact opening of the hole i just came out of, therefore it WORKS without the LOOPING, right 😅😅? Hope im Not smoking my socks.
What kind of thread is that please?
You can use a normal thread itself. There is no specific thread to do this.
Ohh thanks
Welcome
Genius
Thanks
Ohhh woww finally something useful i found
Since you're not telling us what exactly you're doing, it would have been helpful it there was a closeup.
Incredible! Bravo!😊
Wow, thank you!
👍
Is this a chain stitch
What type of thread is that please? so I can buy it in the shop. Thank you.
I'm not positive, but it looks like embroidery thread 🤔
Normal thread bhi ho jata hai i try and it worked
Jeans material is usually sewn with stronger thread specifically designed for jeans. Good quality denim thread/jeans thread brands are Gütermann, Coats and Moon, according to Google.
🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
Nossa tentei duas vezes e nao deu certo😢
I tried this once but could never get it right
How is this different in the end from a pick stitch? Why don't you just do a pick stitch? Seems like this just adds the step of making loops and then pulls the loops out at the end. It looks cool but isn't it a waste of time?
The stitches are little bit visible in pick stitch. That's why i did it with invisible stitch. If you want you can do this with pick stitch also.
Exactly! This is just a fancy , time consuming way of doing something that can be done easily. Quite gimmicky imo but I have seen many such videos on Pinterest and it does seem interesting at first so I won't blame the creators.
uh to m normal hi lga lu muje to lga dono side ni dikhega😂😂
😊
Can a sewing machine do this?
No

The problem with taking up hems like that is, when you put you foot through it, you toes get caught on the end. There are better ways off taking bottoms up.
what would you recommend alternatively? does this stitch hold well otherwise?
Lol, No. that cannot possibly be such a serious PROBLEM 😁😅 just a TINY inconvenience versus a huge advantage during the hard work of sewing - being able to sew from the OUTSIDE with instant alignment feedback rather than the inside. just wiggle your foot slowly as you push through the opening.
Just cut the excess, and wiggle your foot. Really not that hard. 💀

A few notes from trying this:
- if you're like me and never bother waxing your thread, wax your thread for this one
I'm pretty sure the 2 main things that make this more effective than a pick stitch is 1)stitch length and 2)tension
1) for me at least, its easier to make smaller stitches for this
2) I'm pretty sure the tension pulls those couple of threads in the stitch a little, and that's why you don't see the thread, now, that being said:
- you might want to go in short sections before pulling the thread, especially if you can't get to the underside of your stitch for whatever reason
- this probably isn't great for looser weaves, as it's more obvious that it pulls the threads of the fabric
(In case anyone is interested - i tested it out on a light weight muslin, and am using it to add ribbon to the outside of a buckram hat. The need to use tension ended up pulling and scrunching the ribbon, so I'm not using this stitch for this project, but it does seem like it would work on thicker/sturdier fabrics)
Could have really done without the music too hard to concentrate on what you're doing thumbs down
If you don't like the music, just turn the volume off while watching 🤷♀️
