Hello, I don't know you in person and I just found this video and your channel for the first time. It's beautiful. I'm shocked that there are people who bring hate. Shame on them! Please continue your wonderful and beneficial work. I'm a believer too and I am sure your lord is pleased with you. Lots of love and blessings ❤️

Beautiful work! You just taught me something I've been struggling with. Give no energy to the haters. They're not worth your time nor the effort taken to respond to them. Maybe you could have someone else read and sort through the comments before you read them. Another approach might be to give them the benefit of the doubt and assume they mean well but must be having a hard time themselves. Some people are just negative. Some are only negative once in a while. Others, like myself, occasionally unintentionally express their thoughts in a negative way meaning no malice at all. My kids used to ask me all the time why I was angry, and I wasn't even angry. I was just thinking about something. People get in the habit of being negative. With recent events and the way the world is, in general, I think we all need a little grace. Thank you so much for taking the time and effort to video tutorials like this. You are making a positive difference. 💐

Is it me or are these updates coming out later and later each month? And there seems to be less events lately due to the late release of these videos.

Thank you. I learned so many new things about mending: 1) cutting or cleaning the mending sight before starting. 2) tapering or extending the stitching past the original tear. 3) reinforcing the backside of the mend. Brilliant. Thank you for these very valuable tips. Very glad I saw this. 💐

So instead of thinking of it as just sewing a hole, it might be helpful to think of it as putting two pieces of fabric together - creating a small SEAM as you did here. I'm a terrible sewer, you've given me a new way of looking at these repairs instead of just trying to put a patch over things.

Jaw dropped! If I hadn't seen it with my own eyes......! But could you plz add subtitles or captions to explain details and rationale and materials. IDK what the backing is. And how do you feather at the end to avoid a pucker -- I couldn't see if you were going above and below the line after you'd passed the mended area. You're obviously an amazing mender; I can't believe that came out so perfectly!

I’ve always mended holes from the back side of the fabric, but working from the top side makes sense to avoid too much puckering. Wouldn’t have thought of using the Stitch Witch fusing with the tack stitches either! Super nice repair!

You are so gifted with needle and thread! The people who say bad things wish they could do what you do. I encourage you to continue serving the LORD. If you please HIM, nothing else matters 😊

As someone who was taught needlework in childhood, I appreciate the fine work you did on this repair. :) Ignore the haters. it's just jealousy, incivility, or mental illness. You keep on doing what you do. <3 <3

This is very similar to the technique I use, that my mom taught me that my paternal grandmother taught her. It makes me smile and sad at the same time. Thank you for teaching people who don’t have a mom, dad, grandmother, grandfather, sister, brother, etc to teach them 🥹

Thank you so much. This work is an art like other works that we commonly consider to be art. I hope that people in this society can learn this type of craft, as it cultivates a deeper respect for the world we live in. Having lived in poorer countries I learned about how people would repair their clothes, shoes, everything, and not throw things away like we often see in the U.S. Now I will mend my shirt!😊
