Such a clever way to do this! My daughter bought bunch of jeans for her kids at a community wide garage sale and asked me to hem some without cutting them off. So when I found this video, I was thrilled! It works great….just like magic!
unreal! thank you so much for this i'm the least artistic person ever and have little to no experience in sewing but my jeans turned out PERFECT and it was so simple thank you lots
Thank you for doing this video 🥰 it's really helpful for me because I don't need any machine to repair my husband and children clothes. I'm a new subscriber 🥰🥰❤
Thanks. I was able to fix the hem of my jeans the way I want and not what the seamstress’. What she did was to fold up the pants without sewing and then iron it.
I have a extremely long denim skirt that has really cook washing at the end(I cannot wear it unless I wear 6inch heels….) The tailor said it will be extra cost to save the hem and said he cannot guarantee the look. I should tru this….
That is amazing! I'm going to try that today on my daughter's jeans. Btw the chain stich I learnt at school but never seen the disappearing method - beautifully done. Many thanks 👍
I just did this to some bootcut jeans and they came out perfect. I wasn’t sure they would look ok at first since they’re wider at the ends but I just shortened them an inch that’s probably why it didn’t bunch up.
What was that magical sewing technique you did the first time to sew down the fold? You just looped it around and then the loops disappeared but underneath looks like a regular running stitch? I'm amazed. I really should learn more stitches.
I’m a guy and non sower so forgive my question if it is stupid but with the first demo do you complete each side of the pant leg separately. That is to say complete one side and finish it then do the other side. Thank you.
Love the video thank you for sharing. I have a question? What would be the best way for me to hem a pair of jeans. If i have to cut off 4 inches of fabric?
Thank you so much..Well..It depends on you..If you're a beginner , maybe you should try to shorten your jeans without cutting , just in case...but If you really want to have a better finish, then you can try this way... = ua-cam.com/video/mxa2hzUz9N0/v-deo.html
Madan it is an ordinary casual wear pant. Length is 43 inch. Actual height is 40 inch only.So i want to reduce the height n also want to fix half an inch elastic to the bottom leg area. Can u tell me pl. Thank you in adv.
The problem with wide leg pants is that they are widest at the bottom. So if you're taking off a lot of length, you'll end up with a hem that's much wider than the section you're trying to sew it to. So, it won't match up right. You're better off cutting them down and sewing a new hem.
Thank you so much for this video! What clever and easy instructions for shortening jeans without cutting off the excess.
You are so welcome!

SAUDAÇÕES BUENAS TARDES HERMOSA DESDE BRAZIL 🇧🇷 🇧🇷 ABRAZOS
Do you sew a section at a time and tighten them or do you go all around first and then tighten it?
It's easier to sew by section at a time and tighten..
can i use this technique with trousers also?
Yes ! you can
So good
Thanks ❤
can we try it on lower ?
Of course ❤
Does that work on trousers???🌷🎀
Yes it does ❤
Do these techniques apply to any types of materials in pants? Thx...
Yes it does !

What size is the needle you're using, and what thread you're using?
Hello, the size of the needle that I used is around 4.5 cm, as for the thread I used gutermann 100 % Polyester. Thank you for watching.

Yes you can !
Fantastic
Thank you so much 😀
How? Was it magic?!
Yes..😅 ❤
I need to shorten my jeans by 25 cm !!! 😭 Will this method still work?? Thank you!!
Yes, It should still work...
I think that could be difficult, because the width of the upper part of the leg and that of the end of the leg could be different.
@@ronnybura6486 I already figured it out!! Thank you so much for your comment though!!

No it's not a special thread.
