New subscriber here! 👋 I have a tip, when roller painting large areas, pop a broom handle into the handle of the roller. It makes painting big areas much faster and prevents the inevitable back ache. Love your channel & Instagram, Catherine 🥰
Every Catherine video: "Let's tackle this completely practical object, but make it beautiful!" It really does look great though, and I can't wait to see how amazing it'll be in a few weeks when everything is in bloom!
Dainty is right, working in your sweet dresses and aprons! You are such an inspiration to us ladies using your creativity and power tools to accomplish your dreams!
Is a pleasure see a woman that use all that stuff! A garden take so much work but even a woman with her immagination and determination can do all this alone! I'm like you! The difference between us is that in my garden all is edible 😂😂 but in your, everything is adorable 🥰
Hi Catherine, just stumbled on your channel. I am a 79 yr old, retired landscaper designer, and just have to say, what a joy to see such a young person, doing such a great gardening legacy! Reminds me of my early days! I went out in our backyard, which is 40’ x 18’, and noticed that we lost all our roses, except out minis and our climbing rose 😢. We live in the East side of WA. State. You are just adorable and I am a new subscriber. 🙂👍🏻👍🏻💕💐🌷🦋🌹🌻🇺🇸
I am very impressed with your vision. Looking forward to the complete makeover. Just a tip to save time when planting a new raised bed. Fill the bed to a point then add bulbs and then top off with the soil. No digging. Wonderful job. You are every man's dream. LOL !!
I live in the far northern end of Australia and moved to a unit 2 years ago, as I am a granny with bad knees. Fortunately, I have a large side garden area with a planted front rock wall and a narrow sloped backyard. I’ve planted the front with native flowering shrubs and plants for privacy with bird baths and low watering spots for bees and lizards. There’s also a mis sized fountain pond. I love water in the garden. The narrow back area, I have large pots to grow veggies and have managed to incorporate 2 fish ponds, complete with bog filters I made for the ponds. It is still a work in progress, which I do when funds and ailments allow. I love your vlogs and your cheery disposition. Cheers from a wet and drab day in usually sunny Queensland Australia 👍🇦🇺
I remember you doing your shed makeover, I was inspired and had all the inspiration to face my shed. Never did, every time I open the door I remember your makeover. X
I got so excited when you said you’re from Ireland 🇮🇪!! Your video popped up in my feed and am happy it did! What a beautiful work you ve done!! Am in love with your green house and your bubbly personality 😊 (I lived in Ireland 🇮🇪 for 7 years lol so I have lots of love for your country and Irish ☘️ people 🥰)
I was feeling miserable today as it’s snowing like crazy again here and there is a blanket of white over the garden once again. I was so excited to see your video pop up and I could be in your garden. I instantly felt so much better! Thank you for sharing your timing couldn’t have been more perfect❣️
I'm so surprised, you did so much. How inspired you made me. Everything looks so great. Your White kitty had so much fun with you. The brick floor looks so real. Putting in the little rock's was just what needed to be done. Now there's no more muddy foot prints. I'll try the rock's like you, & your lovely brothers did as well. Great job, thank you.
Just what I needed gardening video!!!💚 Last year I kinda of just stepped back from gardening...we started feeding stray dogs n they stayed and totally ruined my plants...my made me some planters from recycled tired that people juat throw out on the highway...did buy some bulbs and seeds...watching Your hard work n gorgeous garden gives me the inspiration to go for it!!! This is the first video of yours that I have seen. I am in awe of everything you have accomplished in your garden. You are very talented and driven to have things your way! Bravo young lady! 💕
You have come so far with your garden in the last couple of years, and it's turning out terrific! It's nice to look back and see what you've accomplished, it's amazing! It's been a lot of work, but it's gonna last you a lifetime. You go girl!
If you like cut flowers and want some climbers try sweet peas, the more you cut them the more flowers they produce and definitely smell absolutely beautiful 😍
Sister I called in pigeons double Birds. There's nothing creepier than to be sitting down at night and hearing 👂 them damn birds and their coo; makes your hair stand up😱. Everything is looking so great. You really do good for Catherine. Blessings and much love
You are such a resourceful, talented young lady. You are uplifting ,inspiring too !! Love all your clothes ( dresses). Blonde is so sweet, hanging out in your video's with you !! Stay well, have a great week !🙂
This made me so happy to watch I really needed this queen 💗 Blessed be, fairies would love you, maybe make a little fairy garden somewhere on your lot 🥰
You get my respect , the Brick floor effect looks AWESOME...and i didn't see you use KNEE PADS, or anything Soft on the Knees...Great Job !!! I really like the WHOLE Garden!!!
I discovered that the deer won't eat my Marigolds, so my yard is going to be full of them. We have a deer problem here...they eat everything. So, I will plant some around my veggies and hope they stay away from them. They also deter mosquitos too and they are so pretty. Your backyard looks so inviting. I just love when you do a video back there. I look forward to seeing all the bulbs sprouting.
The brick floor that was painted on came out even nicer than having real bricks. They could be problems in time, so this may well be better in the end. No breaking, of chipping up, and edges that people could trip on etc. This will be much easier to clean and handle. Beautiful Green House and yard, You are such a good carpenter and horticulturist. Wonderful gardener! You are so good it seems like you have been trained in it all?! Gave me a few ideas. Thank you for sharing.
I’m a new subscriber and a Irish Granny, this is from the heart you have to be so proud of yourself you done a great job love. Well done red brick is bloody fantastic job. Great work.
We’ve been in our house for 23yrs and still have things to do in the garden hubby is in the process of building a dovecote with a steeple roof I’m looking forward to that having a garden is a luxury that is at times taken for granted I’m always thankful for my outside space it brings me a little peace especially now with the craziness going on in the world I look forward to your spring and summer garden lots of love from the uk x
Oh I can't wait I mean we can't dig in the dirt but we can put as many pots as we want the one thing they don't yell at me for popping up is sunflowers because I feed the birds so get plenty of sunflowers in there just pretty and the bees love them so it can't wait you're making me itch to want to do it so thank you for that and I love your channel my kind of channel!!❣️🐈🐾👍
Still loving the videos. Feel like been watching your channel for years..... probably have lol. Loving the creative videos, turn DIY and now you're changing into Greenclaws. Maybe you're too young to remember that. Kids show and a flower would have a present inside and hew grew things. So nice to see your videos as nature is important and I'm inspired to get out in my garden and give it some TLC.
this is the first video I saw of you and despite the inspiring DIY's, I rly gotta say you are a very cute and cool person and it's great to see a woman that can be girly and super handy at the same time! keep it up, beautiful
Watching again for motivation.😆 It’s around 12c today which is too cold for me when the sun is behind the clouds. There’s so much to do out there. I really must find my motivation!
Such a sweet video. Made me smile and look forward to spring. Love your garden ideas and how you just did it. Your brothers were awesome. Anyway thank you for sharing. Take care, from Portland OR, USA
I’m in a zone 3/4 on the Canadian Prairies, so we still currently have about 2-3’ of snow left on the ground. I use this time of year to plan out what to do in my yard. Each year is a new project, or 10! Lol! 2 years ago I did a DIY deck at the side of the house. I made it out of an old fence panel. Last year we created more garden beds in the front of the house and revitalized 6 other areas. This year will be cleaning up around the back of my yard and making more pollinator areas back there and building up the areas I did last year. I have had several “want” shrubs on order since last October to make sure I get them! Lol! Taking no chances.
You are always such an inspiration. Having recently bought a house and working on getting it looking the way I want inside ( slowly, since it's over 2,000 sq. ft.) I look to your videos because my ideal house look is so much like you have. My garden is still frozen and covered in snow, but the plans are printed and ready to put into action. I want to put in a small water feature too this year. I have a lot of wildlife and my few small birdbaths get overcrowded with the squirrels, chipmunks and bunnies. Watching you working in your garden on these cold, dreary days cheers me up so much.
Hi from portsmouth, i did some gardening today as it was a beautiful sunny day still chilly but ok, i love your cottage garden you make it look so cosy, love watching your vlogs after my long shifts as a nurse in a hospice, xxxx
A nice dainty video is just what I needed today!! We got pummeled with snow again and with all that’s going on in the world, I’ve been really weighed down. Then along comes some escapism with Dainty! Thank you! xx
I just stumbled upon your video last week. You had me at "there ain't no shame in the clutter game" when you opened up your shed. I hit subscribe right away! ❤ from 🇨🇦
Wonderful video! Very inspirational & all of it is fantastic. Beginning with your transformation of your cutest little wooden shed I have ever seen.. Moving onto the floor, preparing for your Greenhouse..really spectacular job! Love the shelving and detail of the flowers on the shelving doors. I like your bar idea, self made..but also the change raised beds in its place. Your layout of all is fantastic. Mother Nature doesn't know it's Spring here in Northern Michigan since we had snow back now 3 times since the calendar said it is officially Spring. Thank you for the video!
Im on Canada,no live on 3 acres in the country. I have 8 flower gardens and a 2000 square foot vegetable organic garden. We have to start our seeds inside because we still have snow on the ground. I can't wait for the warm weather to get here.
Everything you did in the garden last year, inspired me, to finally tackle my balcony. I made a planter out of scaffolding wood and screwed a trellis on the walk. Somebody dumped all kinds of stuff on the pavement, which was to be removed by the municipal garbage departement. Among it was a metal rack and a trolley, both ended up on of balcony as well. I bought a lot of plants (strawberry and mint) and grew a few herbs and tomatoplants myself. Unfortunately I had to throw away all the plants and herbs, apart from the tomatoes, due to greenfly or aphid (sorry, I am not sure which is the correct word) This year I will try again though, because it was so much fun. Thanks very much for the inspiration Catherine❤☺️

Aw sounds fab! Marigolds are great at preventing greenfly and lady bugs too. I tend to get them during summer on my roses
