Great idea !! Good construction, very ridged compared to others I have seen on UA-cam. I personally would change a couple things, but this video got my brain engaged and excited. Thank you
Nice job, and good use of materials ! Lucky scoring nice thick pipe like that, not easy to find plastic pipe that strong. What is that pipe normally used for?
It´s good looking, but I think a bit too big for me. I was thinking along the lines of a water wheel driving a 200L metal can, with a hole for the tailings to fall out.
Hi Dave, thats not a nugget trap. Its just something to hold material it for longer as I was using it it a clay area an needed longer washing time. Since this video I have put one one the end like your suggested. Cheers.
You done pretty well making the vedio but you shouldn’t move the camera around so fast, the trammel looks pretty good as time goes by I’m sure you will make some upgrades but all in all looks 👍
Yes so correct Roger. This was one of my first videos filmed by a camera phone. An I've learnt to slow down with a camera since that video 🤣. Yes I've made a couple of changes since then. Cheers for the feedback 🍻👍
Bro, thanks for the video, but I have sea sickness from your camera work. SLOW down an hold the camera steady! Bloody hell, or as we say here in 'Merica, "For fuck's sake."
Simple and functional build. Great job!

Thank you. Hope it helps with the start of yours. I Only done this video to help give others ideas to make something similar or the same.

Great video man! That’s definitely a pretty cool build
Great construction man! Best regards!
A front drive lawnmower would work perfect for the trommel drive pulley. Take the blade of and hookup a water pump.
Not a bad idea. 👍

Nice fabrication, no doubt should work like a charm....
Man that's awesome. If you have heavy clay material . I used a snowmobile track to make lifters in mine. Love it bud!
Good idea but we don't have snow mobiles. Cheers 👍
Good project. The angle iron is a nice touch. Have you considered installing the "nugget trap" on the exit end of the trommel instead of the middle ?

Where did you get the pipe for the trommel?
This thing is legit I’ve been looking for blueprints or specs to build my own to pull behind a Toyota truck in California
That sounds awesome. I hope you find the right one to build. An goodluck
Necessity is the mother of invention!
Great job thanks for sharing. Gave me some good ideas.
Good to hear since this vid I've done a couple of changes to it. But basically same design.
Thanks for sharing

good lord, 36k rpm. trying to spin the molecules loose aint you lol
It would be really good if you used something rather than your camera I got seasick trying to watch it
😂 apologies for that, when this was recorded i had no idea what I was doing with the camera.
Thankyou for making this video 😀
No worries at all hope it helps with your ideas.
Jules Nicholas Gold n Helpful vids Yep I love the idea do you know what it roughly cost to get a mining lease in Tasmania?
No mate can't say I have tried or know.
Jules Nicholas Gold n Helpful vids 😀👍🏻
Didn't think they were allowed in Tassie.
You are totally correct. Not in our streams, creeks, or rivers, licensed mine site yes. 😉
